I saw this in theatres in second grade. My dad told me about it and it was a SUPER late night premiere in northern Indiana where I lived at the time. I thought the name sounded stupid (I love movies so much but I think I was grouchy that day) but I was MESMERIZED! To this day I show this movie to everyone who hasn’t seen it. I’m not a big crier but I shed a tear or two every time I see this movie. I get chills at the end every single time. I quote it all the time 🥺 ugh I love this movie so so so much. It’s easily in my top ten, and I’m snobby lol. Great review!!
For me, this film ranks up there with The Shawshank Redemption. I just discovered this film recently and have watched it everyday since. Can't watch it enough.
"Childhood"..?!? Granted, I'm 59, but I never heard of it! And, don't you love how you pay for Amazon, but still need to pay to watch movies? It's just the greatest!
Loved #ChristianKane ( #Leverage, #Angel, #TheLibrarians, #LeverageRedemption and a singer/songwriter) as Young Hub. He always seems to get left out of any credits, even though he does the action scenes and stunts in this movie.. He actually was hurt during the filming but continued to keep going.. (The reason for the fake mustache 😉)
Love this review :D great job man!, also I have such a personal connection to this film, it is my family's go to movie and I have had so many great memories of thanksgivings, random movie nights with new friends and our family friends who came by to visit, etc, forever this movie will always remind me of my childhood and my parents most of all. The rotten tomato score sucks ass tho ngl.

I also adore and can quote the entirety of The Princess Bride so I’m not surprised I love these movies as much as I do.

Rotten tomatoes doesn't like anything that supports "toxic masculinity". I always go by the audience score. Awesome flick.

This was the first movie I ever saw in theaters
I sadly didn’t get to see it in theaters. But once it came out in dvd we got it because it was recommended to us by my aunt who saw it in theaters.

Michael Caine with two Oscars is hardly under-rated-he’s completely excellent in the worst movies he ever was paid to act in!

I watched this movie for the first time as an adult. I was born in 1984. It’s absolutely terrible. So much cringe.
I’m confused what you’re trying to say? My friends dad was born in the 70s and loves it. But if you don’t like it that’s okay too.
