Really clear and helpful video. It's so refreshing to see someone concentrating on the purpose of it rather than showing off how great a player they are as so many of these types of instructional videos tend to do. Thankyou, I have a much better understanding now of compression pedals for bass. Also your class as a player comes through naturally.
thanks, I love playing bass but it's never been my main instrument. I need to tighten up for tracking bass on NICU's first album so I'm digging through tips and approaches to bass compression. I really like how you show off the variety of tones that can come from just fingers & compressor! also helpful to think about how to get a more "even" tone because I mostly write fairly straightforward pop/rock style basslines where that evenness is really important in the mix.
Dear Dayvon, Using a PICC on BASS is illegal!!! Davie504 will find you😶. But seriously this was very informative and I really appreciate your efforts ❤️ Looks like Dayvon is taking over the channel 😂
Well… not compression. But many compressors have make-up gain to restore the compressed level, so that does raise the lower level signal (and the noise floor)

We're glad you found it helpful!
This is really a really good explanation. And you do it in a good way. 1000 thanks for that.
Great info! Comps are definitely a staple in my setup regardless if I'm playing guitar or bass.
Also that bass and your playing sound incredible! 🔥😍
This is exactly what I needed! Thanks!
Glad it helped John!
this was a helpful demonstration

Yeh, exactly what @NICUofficial said
Great informative demo, found your company by accident. Glad I did, this will be my next pedal
Thanks for the support!
4:42 Sustain is known as threshhold? I think this is wrong
I have a question: hiw is it bringing "the quieter parts up"? I thoughr it only reduces the loud part over the threshold?
Well explained thanks can be difficult to understand the concept of compression I take it you will benefit more playing at higher volumes ?????
Glad you found this useful!

Absolutely! Guitar demos will be dropping in the near future.
Finally, someone broke it down for y feeble brain to understand lol!

Thanks Kevon!
Compression doesn’t bring anything up.
