You are so lucky to be allowed into a copart yard to view vehicles you might purchase, my local copart does not allow prospective buyers in to view, we have to take a massive risk when buying from copart, that big risk has encouraged me to shop elsewhere, where charges are unbelievably low and the stock can be viewed without any trouble.
I cannot find the BAT auction for the Ferrari...builder was quality control manager for Corvette at BWG. There was a video that showed what went into the build-quite impressive. It's crazy to me how many "car guys" call a rear spoiler a "wing". I mean, wings help you fly. A spoiler does the opposite, it holds you down....With force. Down force, spoiler. Easy to remeber.
Turn your thinking upside down (no pun intended) haha.. Wings make downforce. Its an upside down airfoil. Spoilers just help kind of massage the airflow, and spoil dirty air behind the car. A spoiler makes the car more slippery (it sometimes provides downforce but not much). It reduces aero drag essentially..... A wing on the otherhand gives you tons of downforce but increases drag. So usually cars that run big wings also have a bunch of spoiler action going on too. :)
It’s obvious you’re new to the car scene regardless of your waining life span. Spoilers have been referred to as wings since the 60s and have been known as such colloquially since then
You should be carrying a portable power jumper and some sort of MUTEL OBDII handhelds to check beyond visible damage; specially when there are pieces might be stolen or swapped like what happened with this gorgeous GT3RS

That front left fender could be made out of fiberglass by getting a copy of a good fender from another car cover it with wax then shaping the fiberglass on top of that. Ask some guys that repair surfboards. Good Luck. Perhaps Carbon Fiber has a similar process.
At Mecom Action or Barrett Jackson cars with salvage titles generally sell for way less. It is hard to get a seriously damaged car right. That makes it difficult to make a profit off a salvaged car unless you cut corners.

It's a dang shame that the Ford GT was such a limited run. Because I'd imagine the cost of parts would be insane, if you could even find them to begin with, and unfortunately you would probably never get that money back out of it
I don't think anyone who bought and fixed up this car would consider resale value. It will be what it is, and if that means enjoying it co$ts more than your average car, that's the price you will pay.
Actually, most of the parts are right out of Ford's Mustang and similar lines. It's quite possibly THE least expensive supercar to keep running. So we're looking at a reasonable rebuild, aside from the unobtanium chassis and panels. That is, the engine could be entirely missing and it wouldn't be half the problem all those damaged exterior parts are going to be. And, no, the price isn't an issue, either - it's FINDING and tracking it all down. As for resale value, it's rare enough that rebuilt means nothing - it's the quality and how it'd done. If it's repaired to OEM specs with all correct parts, it'll be just as valuable 20 or 50 years from now.
I would only buy the Ford GT if you can get if for REALLY cheap, and there's no twisting/bending in the frame or body. If you do buy it though, I would love to see it get restored and put back on the road.
