A man was seen frantically waving his arms and floating on a cooler more than 30 miles from shore. When the Coast Guard approached, the man yelled out "Do you have a bottle opener??".
He’s both done really well and somethings gone really really wrong. When I saw the story I was thinking he’s been washed out to sea from the shore. But being from even a small fishing boat he should have a life jacket and life raft.
The gulf has some big sharks most are small but they can get the rare great white but mostly hammerheads that are around 10 feet usually he got really lucky
sharks usually dont attack people. We have been led to believe through films and media reports but shark attacks are very uncommon. usually they mistake surfboards for seals from below.

Incredibly lucky he was rescued and seemingly ok. What are the odds of been spotted out at sea like this? Wow.
