Man I transcribed this not too long ago and I've noticed a whole bunch of stuff I got wrong in my transcription after this hahaha great job man, you absolutely killed it!!
Yes you are absolutely correct. To compensate for the higher tuning I used a D'Addario XL Balanced Tension set (120, 90, 67, 50) and a single D'Addario XL 32.
@@danlovriha7378 Thank you so much for making it clear man. I found on Thomann a pack of strings for 5' Rotosound RS665LB Swing Bass (035, .055, .070, .090, .120) this might also work. Price is good on these. Stay heavy \m/
Thanks man! This bass usually stays in drop C (CGCFA#) so actually higher than what it is in this video. Yes I use lighter strings to compensate. So to get the set of 5 strings, it is a D'Addario XL Balanced Tension set (120, 90, 67, 50) and a single D'Addario XL 32.
@@andjustice4all224 Hi, thanks! I've been meaning to make a video soon showing how I got the tones for some of the more popular cover's I've done. I can tell you now that for this, I used the Factory Rock > 90's British preset, but there's a bit more to it than that. I will try get the video done soon.
Super accurate, super awesome. Love that crunchy hollow tone.
Much appreciated! And thanks for watching!
love the tone
That was a fuckin' treat to watch!! So much surgical precision and groove at the same time. That section at 2:26 is my favorite from this track
Much appreciated, thanks for checking it out! Agreed, such a groovy song, even through the solo section.
Dude! 🤯
Well that was the best bass cover ive watched. Mr. LAVELLE WOULD BE PROUD😎 Absolutely perfect job man
Dude... perfect job!! Not an easy song for sure!!
Cheers! Yeah not the easiest haha, And thanks for checking it out!

Would love if you cover Nightbringers or any song from that album. Stellar work on this track :D
Thank You! Yes Nightbringers could be fun. I'll see what I can to.
Man I transcribed this not too long ago and I've noticed a whole bunch of stuff I got wrong in my transcription after this hahaha great job man, you absolutely killed it!!
Haha cheers! Although I don't know how much of the song I actually got correct :). Thanks for watching!
Dude amazing!! I love that bass btw my dream guitar was always a esp ltd of some sort lol
Thanks so much! I love this bass, definitely easy to work with for metal tones. Ltds are just great in general. Cheers for watching!

And happy birthday!
Cheers mate :) Yeah their new album kicks ass!
Making it look so easy! Nice job on this one, my brother in snares ;)
Cheers man! Though it wasn't the easiest song haha. Thanks for watching.
Like a pro, great job my dude!
Cheers mate!
👍🤘
Great tone. Bias, neural, other cool stuff?
Tabs? Working on learning this beast of a song and the songsterr tabs dont seem super accurate
Excuse my ignorance but the tunning you used (C, F, A#, D#, G) I am not familiar with it. Isn't a 45 -130 set of strings too heavy?
Yes you are absolutely correct. To compensate for the higher tuning I used a D'Addario XL Balanced Tension set (120, 90, 67, 50) and a single D'Addario XL 32.

@@albertmarkethinkpr1325 No problem at all, those Rotosound strings should work a treat. Cheers \m/
Awesome job dude! Do you use standard 5 string gauges or do you go a little thinner for C standard?

Love those balanced tension strings. Im using them in a standard tuning. 145, 107, 60, 60, 45
Great cover.
Yeah they are great sets! Haven't tried the 145's yet, maybe if I pick up a new bass soon.

fuuuuuuuuck. would love to know your amp eq to get this tone as well
I wish it was my amp. I ran the bass DI into interface and made a tone on a vst plugin called BIAS FX.
oh that's what's up.
@@danlovriha7378 hi.. Awesome cover and amazing tone.. Would like to know which fx u use on bias.. Did u get the bass expansion pack?
