- Okay monster and robot fans, the Jaeger vid did better than I was expecting, so as promised, here's the follow up, looking at the precursors agents of doom and destruction, the kaiju, working our way through the categories, looking at all the kaiju in the movies the games, the comics, the netlfix anime, and maybe a couple fan versions.

I love the idea of kaiju that work together until injured enough that they physically fuse together to be an even bigger threat
The idea is cool but the execution was butchured cause it was wierd parasite/nanotech

I just love the concept of Apex being the perfect hybrid between Kaiju and Yeager: powerful, intelligent, fearless yet fearsome ! I also really like Otachi, they're something unique about her and she's so iconic to the franchise. Raiju is pretty cool as well.

Yeah otachi is definitely my favorite. I was trying to guess what she was based off of (ex leatherback is a gorilla) and I couldn’t put my finger on it until I realized Otachi is LITERALLY A DRAGON. The dangerous breath, the wings, and the giant tail!
I love how every Yaeger is having a problem against Mark 2's and above and then Cherno alpha just soloes them lmao

cherno really was built different, really the only reason they were taken down was because newts drifting with the kaiju brain gave precursors info on both cherno and crimson, hence why neither had an answer to gypsy, as gypsy was outta commission for a while so newt couldnt have seen gypsy fight much or know its full upgraded potential

If we get a Movie about the first Kaiju attacks as well as the first Yaeger being made it would most definetly be a hit if it were alligned to the Original Pacific rim Design the heavy feeling of thr Yaegers and Kaijus would be nice

Shattertongue was likely called that because his body has a shatter pattern and his sack is similar to a poison sack which will usually have stuff spit out from the mouth
The writers and creature concept designers took a page out of the Transformers series and made the Mega Kaiju lol. But that thing is awesome. Still sad we haven’t gotten a true sequel to Pacific Rim

Correction it is revealed in the black that the rippers are cat 1s, bone spur is a cat 4, acid quill is a cat 3 and trespasser is a cat 3.
when was trespasser’s category revealed
It appear that the acid quill that fight striker berserker is a cat 4 instead of the normal cat 3 so acid quill should be a cat3/4

In my school vr game, Goalius is a Catagory 8, a first ever cat, 8 and is a servant to the sisters of the kaijun, and for Game only kaijuns first is Calibarn who is mentioned in the Jaeger video he's a cat 4 who is a kind Kaijun but was messed up by Breacher next is cat 5 Pulsekhan who was in Australia and was killed by Hunter Vertigo next is cat 6 Raveger who is still alive and missing and finally Cat 7 titanios a massive kaijun that is a walking breach is female and lay eggs to create different kaijuns
What I don't get is how the first kaiju managed to survive 3 nukes while the breacher was destroyed by Atlas going nuclear.
I think that breacher was a glass cannon he had alot of strenght but poor defense n i think that he would have alot of other powers too but didnt got the chance of using it or maybe atlas nuclear explosion had something that counters kaiju skin and armor
@@user-bj6bt7zz9m o think that atlas explosion had some type of substance that counters kaiju resistance i mean the things that hapened in the black hapened more than two decades after the first movie so the jeager technology evolved that mean that even the self destruct explosions are improved or maybe as i said breacher had poor defense capabilities in exchange to have op offense capabilities

Who else thinks that slattern deserves to be a cat 6 instead of a cat 5? I know that it might not have been as tough and powerful as the mega kaiju and the breacher, but his size and intelligence is just fascinating, and being bigger than the mega kaiju himself, so yeah, if you don’t agree, I won’t argue, but it just have this gut feeling that slattern deserves to be a cat 6 alongside mega kaiju and breacher.
I agree, and also I think he is tougher than mega kaiju, he took a nuke to the face and bearly had damage and suprising water actually increases power of explosions it doesnt weaken it, which is way more firepower than a jager falling.
I feel like Slattern was only made a Cat 5 because of the iconic "Category 5 is the highest", which is used in fiction and real life. If Slattern was created after the Mega Kaiju and Breacher he likely wouldn't have been Cat 5 due to the multiple Non-Cat 5 Kaijus.

If you pay close attention to one of the screens in the end of the black it shows you that the kaiju ripper wolves are actually category 1 kaiju
I have mixed feelings about pacific rim the black. It's an enjoyable travel story, i like the characters and the worldbuilding, it manages to incorporate a lot of interesting concepts from uprising (a movie i'd rather pretend not exist) and some new ones like jaeger AI and ghost piloting. However the cult that can control Kaiju with no drawbacks is just.. silly, right?
It sounds silly, but compared to the fan film Uprising, not really.

I love all of the pacific rim kaijus and the jeagers in the univers. But my top favorite is mega kaiju. Like it looks badass and it has a arsenal of wepons.
I really wish we could see more cherno, it's one of the few mecha that force the animators to actually put weight and slowness into the movements of the mechas and since that's supposed to be one of the major downsides it would be nice to see the characters have to plan around the slower unit
Well, kaijus are big monsters, at least bigger than any human so they’re still kaijus without any difference except the size from others

My favorite is the Breacher and the reason why I think it died from a nuclear blast is because slider was underwater and maybe the nuclear blast was just Nerfed water I’m not sure but yeah I’m not sure

For the nuclear thing it could be that in order to make there monsters stronger maybe in there science they had to dial back on what made them nuke resistant to make them larger and more resilient to what was actually killing them

I want to ask because I know almost nothing about the Pacific Rim property, what are precursors? Are they the little alien guys at the end of the first movie. And does anyone know the lore as too why they attacked Earth in the first place? What are their motives, why do they send giant monsters and than clone those giant monsters.

Well from what I’ve put together, they’re the ones making the kaiju’s that we see in the end of the first movie and they kinda just want to take over and colonize Earth for the resources
What if raiju, scunner and slattern could fuse the same way raijin, shrikethorn and hakuja could? That would be quite interesting to see.
