Wow, that was a huge Black Bear! The smile on Mervin said it all, plus the bonds you have created is why I enjoy your content. It doesn’t feel fake, like some others
Best thing about this is merlin shows up you guys act like he's a high-school buddy you ain't seen in 15 years and picked up right where u left off great stuff guys 👍
Big time congrats Merv! And again, so amazed by the B&R Team with all their showering of hugs, handshakes, congrats, and love to Merv and fellow team members for accomplishing such a huge harvest together. Who wouldn’t want to be in a hunt camp with the B&R Team Goodness! Outstanding team work and togetherness!!!!
Congratulations to Mervin! God Bless the Born and Raised Brothers and your families! Thank you for all the amazing content! Thank you for your humility, being original, and sharing your hunting adventure. That was for sure inspiring, educating, and entertaining! Thank you all!
Wow a 300+bear in the spring is 60% of his fall weight. Great bear. Steve…. Buddy. You might need to re thinks your friends lol. I mean did they really need to show your cabbage patch slow motion fall. Great show guys … I love the appreciation for everyone!
I haven't watched any of the bear hunt videos until this week. With Wyoming's weather that came through and shut down pretty much the whole state of Wyoming I spent my week off work watching all the bear hunt videos excellent content just like the elk hunting videos. Congrats on a stellar bear!!
Nice bear Mervin. I saw a comment about feeling guilty of having a mount done when it was a group effort. I think this group wants you to have this little piece of the Oregon outdoor experience to cherish for generations. You traveled here, you lived the experience and made the shot. Have an attitude of gratitude and preserve your memory as you see fit. I took a friend of mines 14 yo.son out on the last day this year and he took a 20in. Plus bear here in Oregon. He's having a mount done. I say Good on him. I'd be a bit disappointed if he didn't. God bless you guys.
Thank you I am planning on doing something wether it’s a rug or mount I haven’t decided in that for sure ! But definitely want to do something to have for a memory of this hunt with such an awesome group of guys ! It was all a group effort ! And a memory I’ll treasure for life !
@@mervinhershberger7284 get a full mount man!!! It’s 100% worth it and you will not regret it. The laughs and smiles you shared that day will come back to you each time you look at that giant standing in your living room. Got my first bear ever in PA last season and it’s at the taxidermist right now so I can try and relive that moment forever too.
Congratulations! We hunt with hounds in Va. the last two years someone in our group has taken some big bears. One was 268 dressed and the other was like 267 dressed.
Steve goes down..lol..awesome bear. And couldn't have died in a better spot. Great background for pics. Probably the hunt of a lifetime fir that guy. u guys realy know how to show someone a good time..and how it is to hunt in Oregon. Good job team
For some reason swamp bears or bears that typically live bear swampland always seem to get giant. There was a swamp just below my parents property on the oregon west coast near netarts that had a resident bear we would see a few times every year during the spring and mostly fall months when the leaves and foliage were less.. Other giant animals would be seen in there also from time to time. I can remember a blacktail buck one year during the very first week of deer season at 12:30 in tge afternoon. We had just returned from a morning hunt and left the rifles at home while running to the store in town. That buck was the 2cnd biggest buck I have ever seen on the coast with an inside spread exceeding well over 22 plus inches and a height of at least the same way outside of his ears. NEVER saw him again and have always kicked myself in the arse for never hunting that swamp the way I could and should have .. Love your video's and have learned sooo much. May God continue blessing you all with good health, safety, and success..CONGRAT'S ON THE GIANT BEAR, WHOOP-WHOOP...!!!
Everybody calls me a liar but it north of lakeside Oregon my parents owned a cabin on 10 Mile lake on Southlake. On Coleman arm the first bear I ever seen as on a three-wheeler and I'm willing to bet it was between 450 and 500 lb. I've seen at least 50 bears since none of them that even came maybe it just had super super thick hair this would have been around spring break around 1989 or 88. I've seen a cinnamon that stood 7 ft tall standing up in Carson Washington and it didn't look as heavy. Maybe it was cuz it was the first bear I seen but she looked bigger around than a 55 gallon barrel and probably at least three and a half feet tall and 7 ft long. It could have been my adrenaline. But I've seen lots of there since and none of them came close to this
Big is big. You just know when you see them, they’re in another class Elk deer bears it doesn’t matter monsters stand out ✌🏼😎 Best regards from eastern Oregon 🇺🇸♥️
Congratulations on a giant Mervin what did your wife say, a bear rug hum I’ll think about it. Noah running the camera catching Steve falling was cool, good job too all 👍✌🏻🇺🇸

Is there a way to send you guys a video and picture of my bear? I’ve been watching since you guys have started putting videos out. I was finally able to seal the deal on a spring bear and my first bear ever and wanted to share with you!
Back in '93 I shot a bear west of Mt. Hood that was on it's hind legs, doing the periscope maneuver. Thinks me, "I'll just drag him over to a flatter spot" ... el wrong-o. It was hard enough just getting him on his back. That bear was over 300 like the beast in this video. Could've used the Born & Raised crew!
The more I look at this the more impressed I am with this bear. I’m sitting here waiting on a rug of a monster. The question is life size or rug. A life size is like putting a smart car in your living room and a rug takes up an entire wall. Really a nice bear.
“I can’t help it” hahaha Steve loves it more than most! Congrats on a GIANT! 🍻
The play by play of the face full of skunk cabbage was hilarious 🤣
