It's mainly the news that makes us worried about the next generations, and a lot of stuff isnt there fault its hormones in our food and water and chemicals, plastics, defeciencies, additives,
It's bad enough when Josh can sing great and play an incredible guitar...but he whistles perfectly! It's not fair!!! TOO MUCH TALENT WITH THESE 2! IT'S OVERWHELMING!
I am three hundred and four years old, and here I am listening to this song that my wife and I used to listen to as we practiced synchronized swimming under the waves of Waccamaw River when the algae was in full bloom. She’s dead now, having flown her hang glider into the Hollywood Sign at the ripe old age of three hundred and three and two-quarters, but whenever I hear this song now I cannot help but excrete a compound of water, electrolytes, proteins, lipids, and mucins from my eyeholes. I’m here to tell you that this is real music, unlike the bongo solo that plays over and over in my head.
And i was composing a comment in perpetual response to all the people who brag incessantly about being 40 or 68 or 170, everytime they hear something youtubu!ar. To THEM, i say: i excrete a compound of hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, and dimethyl sulfide, with the express desire that they engage in aeriophagia of these substances, as they require restoration following exudation via comment columns.
@@briseboy I'm in my forties and never leave comments/like videos but you've got a subscriber now because you sang that song about Jesus that I know the words to. God bless you young men keeping these tunes alive.
I adore your duet sound and the simple vibe you generate together. As a 76-year-old musician, I have heard this song many times throughout my life, but this version is as sweet or sweeter than all the rest. LOVE IT!
Am constantly amazed at this guy. Is there nothing this guy is not proficient at playing? I have seen him over the years on several different instruments, playing as though he has played that particular instrument all his life. He is extremely proficient with the stringed instruments. I marvel at people that have that kind of talent. Thanks Josh for filming your songs and displaying your wonderful, amazing talent. It seems all the people on your videos are as talented as you. Even better. I look forward to more songs.
No matter what some may say, this is absolutely charming in its splendid simplicity. Vintage style has its place, and this is definitive of the genre. Well done.
In a world where everything can seem increasingly depressing, there is a glimmer of hope and happiness, a sliver of the purity and beauty of the human spirit, that shines through it all - The Bygones. Please keep doing what you do. ❤
That was a nice rendition, I enjoyed that. When John, Paul and George were young they must have heard records like this being played by their parents, because I'm getting Beatles vibes with those vocal harmonies.
Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters in "The Jerk" Plus of course the wonderful rendition by the sweet Lennon Sisters Now Allison and Josh put their talented stamp on this classic song. Keep up the great work! You two are an amazing and inspiring duo!
Every song y'all do just seems to have been custom-tailored for the two of you... Autumn In New York, Fever, Do I Ever Cross Your Mind... but, Sweet Jeebus, this one just takes the cake. ❤
The first time this song entered my life was from the Steve Martin movie 'The Jerk,' with Bernadette Peters. I found your version on TikTok! I studied the male singers voice and even created a whistle harmony with his solo. If you two aren't I love with each other something is wrong with me! ❤ your voices, very authentic vibrato and phrasing. Thank you so much for putting great joy into my evening. ♥️
Great cover of a great little ditty. The Jerk made me fall in love with this song as a kid after I watched it with my dad. You and Josh together just shine so brightly together. Josh is lucky that he has a wife that's cool enough to not be jealous of playing music with you all the time.
I suggested that one to you!!! (probably not the only one, but...) You PLAYED it!! And blinking blanking perfect too!! I'll be beaming for a while now. THANK YOU!! :-) And great to hear your news and that your tour was fun for you- I was looking at your schedule, hoping to catch it- and thinking it looked really exhausting!
The Patience and Prudence version is the one that most of us old timers remember. And Oh what a great job you've done in singing that version perfectly. This just might be my favorite of all the great ones you've sung together. Best of luck on the tour.
I've always loved this duet from the film "The Jerk" and am ridiculously excited to see you two perform it! ❤❤❤ I can always count on you both to choose the most wonderful tunes, past or present, to perform and do it so well.
First heard this little ditty in Steve Martin's "The Jerk' (with Bernadette Peters) fell in love with it, and was floored by the Flugel horn solo. You guys crushed it! Been a casual follower of you both for a while. This one is the creme-de-la-creme. Thanks - Dave
We saw you guys play in Bath last night. Just the most beautiful show - my heart was full throughout - it was like a dream.... If you're reading this and they're playing anywhere near you, I'd highly recommend getting tickets...
Have loved this tune since Steve Martin & Bernadette Peters rendition in The Jerk. Could have used a Trumpet solo out of nowhere but even without it this is pretty amazing stuff Josh & Allison.
Last week at the Monday night Bible Study a man pulled out a harmonica and started playing. I thought of you guys and how the harmonica couple be used on songs like this one. Of course I love whistling and I whistle all the time. Early Beatle and Zeppelin songs used harmonica. Just love you both. Magical is the word for you.
Just a wonder. It's partly charm. It's partly musicality - of a very high order. But it's most of all the mix of perfect tunes, perfect execution (made to look and sound ridiculously easy) and delight in whimsicality exactly delivered. Very hard to say no to.
SO AMAZING. Josh is great and I can listen to him for hours. BUT, Alison, or together... it's timeless! Alison's voice is so pure and sweet... it is perfect for the old time songs. A lot like Dolly Parton is perfect for the older Country tunes.
Tripped across you on TikTok (my lucky night) and have since shared you with friends. I feel calmer, happier, restive, at peace when I listen to your harmony and gorgeous tones. Thank you!
I absolutely love you guys! In a world gone mad your beautiful music makes me happy and restores my hope for your generation. Please know that what you're putting into this world is very important. ❤
I'm 68, and when I worry about the coming generation of people, I think of you and your friends and feel much better!
People are the same. You're just different. Think young and be young.
Why do you worry about future generations.
You should worry about yourself. It’s too late now.
Your father's generation thought the same about yours, don't worry
Aren’t they cute!?

The whistling is the only part where a bit of studio manipulation happened, but I can't hear any autotune on the vocals. I really love this.
See the outtakes at the end of Crazy 😂

Oh my! I'm getting some serious Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters vibes here!😍 (The Jerk - 1979) What an amazing little ditty!🎵🎶

What a nice gift for today. Thanks guys. You are like a little holiday from the cares of the world.
Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters in "The Jerk"

Keep up the great work! You two are an amazing and inspiring duo!
You two are better together than peanut butter and jelly. Your sound and skillset is beyond incredible.
This one choked me up from the opening bars..Just beautiful. Thank you for this. So well done. Subscribed.
The two of you making music together is just delightful. I love the sound of the creek in the background!!
Every song y'all do just seems to have been custom-tailored for the two of you... Autumn In New York, Fever, Do I Ever Cross Your Mind... but, Sweet Jeebus, this one just takes the cake. ❤
I'm happy someone is keeping these old classics alive in an old style!

You guys are wonderful. Alison's singing is so precise, and at the same time it sounds so relaxed and smooth. Thanks!
Ain't telling my age but I sure do love your music

I don't know why but for some reason I found myself w/ my eyes closed imagining my wife and I dancing to this in the kitchen.
@@TheBlackToedOne well I'd say the song worked then. How lovely :)

I’m in love with Allison and her singing!!

That was so excellent.. I kept waiting for a bunch of Disney characters to come running out

You two just made my day! Thank you so much.
Marvelous simply marvelous!
Beautiful! Thank you for this gem. You two work so well together. ❤
Both this tune and The Bygones never get old. Keep up the great work.
Incredible! Greetings from Finland and thank you for cheering up my day with this! ❤

This has become my very favorite version of this song. ❤ This was perfection.
New videos from Josh Turner, Elle & Toni and now Allion Young how lovely!
You guys have always warmed my heart. Big kiss💋
You two are so adorable together, and your music is pure joy. Thank you!
I remember when this honey was singing to us from her bedroom. Keep a goin', honey!! You've got what it takes!!
Remind me of the film “the jerk”. You both did an incredible job
I could listen to you two sing songs like this for hours!! So sweet! So fun! Transports me back to a simpler time…❤
Velvety voice Allison. Perfect voicings and musicianship Josh.
At last, the famine is over. Welcome back, guys.
We saw you guys play in Bath last night. Just the most beautiful show - my heart was full throughout - it was like a dream.... If you're reading this and they're playing anywhere near you, I'd highly recommend getting tickets...
My wife and I were there as well,,amazing show, loved every minute

All great to hear either of you, bett when it is both of you.
Have loved this tune since Steve Martin & Bernadette Peters rendition in The Jerk. Could have used a Trumpet solo out of nowhere but even without it this is pretty amazing stuff Josh & Allison.
Was wondering if Alison had a trumpet taped behind her back and was gonna whip it out and start playing....ah well. :)
This is lovely Allison and Josh. ❤
That bridged little brook shows so much character I would consider it part of your group
One of my favourite songs. So simple and yet so sweet
Great band. Knew it since the first attempt :)
Come on everyone, put a like on it.
This was brilliant!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
OUTSTANDING, but I expect no less from you two!
I used to sing this song to my sons before bed nearly every night. Thank you for sharing this wonderful version.

Timeless . Wonderful
You have restored my faith in humanity with this performance. Bravo!
Love this song and your version of it.
very fine performance! (also like the bridge -- the stone one behind you)
Great to see you post again. Glad to see you're still doing the Wes Anderson style videos.
Just a wonder. It's partly charm. It's partly musicality - of a very high order. But it's most of all the mix of perfect tunes, perfect execution (made to look and sound ridiculously easy) and delight in whimsicality exactly delivered. Very hard to say no to.
Oh! I was thinking about you last night, and here you are! YAY! Great song! Good harmonies you two!
Welcome back !
Love the way you layer your melodies. It keeps me staying with the song. Bravo.
How lovely..what a treat.
You two are just MAGIC together!!
Thank you for the beautiful music Alison and Josh!
The audio on this is so good, I can hear just the right amount of y'all and nature, and no wind interference at all! How did y'all do it?
Up to now my favorite version of this was Steve Martin and Bernadette Peters from The Jerk...Y'all got them beat!!!
Absolutely delightful! Lovely tune, lovely backdrop for the video!
Beautiful cover of a sweet song. I smiled through it remembering Bernadette Peters and Steve Martin in "The Jerk".
Missed seeing your videos! Loved this one!
