I would also like to note that the "Core Mechanic" that is described at the beginning when not succeeding to hit is actually an modified rule.
As the page on combat says: "GMs who want something a little more streamlined may use the following *modification* to the usual core mechanic in combat:"
Which then uses the listed (modified) Core Mechanic represented above.
It's meant to simply combat if it were to overwhelm players and GMs with interpreting the success at a twist, or the "failure, but the story continues" mechanic.
Since it can be hard to think of stuff on the fly when there's so many things happening at once.
So these options listed when not succeeding are basically optional, and are not representative on how you *must* use the rules.

I spent a good 20 minutes trying to find the image again (I use Flickr's Creative Commons search) and since I have no attribution on it, it was either out of copyright or was CC0/Public Domain. I don't have the original filename in my notes either (nor does a reverse image lookup help). I sometimes go down a rabbit hole of searches till I find the right image and thus it's hard to recreate the right search. Sorry!

Not at all; thanks for looking. The 20's era fascinates me and I just thought the photo was intriguing.

Hey man, love the videos! But I got a question: does the advantage 1 you get from two-handed weapons (or two-weapon fighting) apply to banes too? Or does that only apply for damaging attacks?

Two-handed melee weapons grant advantage 1 to all melee attacks, so that would include bane attacks IMHO if they were melee (the idea of this bonus is to benefit those putting themselves at risk in melee range).

I dislike the word "bane" as it means "kill", "death", "destruction".
Then again, you english speakers have changed the meaning from its old nose meaning, it seems.
"The sword has bane of arthropods three"
    Or
"my sword is called Griffinbane, as I used it to kill a Griffin"
