funny because it's all mostly true. writers doing a bang up job on this one. Great stuff.
"think of themselves as a welcoming bunch... and as a foreigner, it is best you do not contradict them in this delusion." - this line cracked me up.

We just value different things mate. Western Australian's are very welcoming to anyone who not only brings their culture here but also respects and understands that manners and hard work are what we do. If you act like a wanker, your gonna called out as one. An inability to cope is none of our concern.. We be like Yeah.. Nah lol

As a West Australian living in Queensland much the same could be said about Queensland, particularly the locals getting irate if the weather -- which is actually LESS sunnier than WA's -- is criticised.

I loved the deliberately shitty production quality. It really looked and sounded like a low budget promo shot on VHS tape in the late 80s and then crash-box edited that is was third generation re-recorded.

As WA is closer to civilisation than the rest of Australia (they do have New Zealand and each other) we are more multicultural. The name Polony comes from Italy, it's a corruption of Bologna, where it was first made. Sadly, Victorians, who can only exist as a parasite on the work and organisational capacity, the export income generated by WA, and therefore the GST provided by WA, get the name "Devon", and everything else badly wrong. Their ignorance could be caused by a lack of vitamin D, as Melbun, their city, is always sunless and drab grey with poo brown highlights.
WA is in the same time zone as most of the money of the world, and tourist hotspots, a weekend jaunt to Thailand, Hong Kong or Beijing isn't uncommon. Sictorians go to Tasmania, that's if Tasmania allows them in, as they also hate Sictorians.
Almost everything else is correct- ish, except the accent. WA has a far more English accent than depicted. Melbun and FNQ have the broadest Australian accents, but nah, they're boring. Australians, as a whole, cannot stand Sictorians. I know for a fact Sictoria was offered to Putin as a nuclear and/or bodily waste dump, but he declined, quite rudely I thought, pointing out; "Sictoria is not up to a standard to accept Russian shit!"
