    Hi Andrew, great summary. With regard to the Haldane effect explanation with COPD pts on NRB O2 my understanding was that the increase in CO2 see is due to preferential offloading of CO2 at the LUNGS (oxygen rich environment) rather than reduction in systemic / tissue based CO2 binding to haemoglobin at the TISSUE levels. Am I off base with this? Cheers
