Being able to see these videos with a meaningful takeaway & useful knowledge (that inspires people to do their own thing) is a privilege, thanks MMM!
I appreciate that!
Recently I decided to build this kit. I have built a couple about 30 years ago, but never reached any level of craftsmanship to be mentioned. Recently I decided to start anew and decided on this airplane. I just like it. I watched one video, which was not very positive („rubbish“) and your video („first model“). After those videos I was a bit disappointed, nevertheless stayed determined to make as much as possible out of it. As you see, this video is perfect for me, tailormade… Perfect, thank you!
You're welcome! Good luck in your build!
If you only do one mod to the kit, it's to cut the auxiliary air inlets. I modded min extensively, scratch building the gear bays, correcting the speed brake, modding the gun pods and adding detail and a resin seat to the cockpit. All takes time but I've got a Shar that I'm happy with.
Are there other older vintage models that you are thinking of upgrading?
I'm working on the ancient (and quite terrible) Revell 1/32nd Corsair, and the old Airfix F-111
Awesome build and gorgeous aircraft. Yes please! I'd love to see your process of making your own decals. I've got the correct type decals sheets for my printer type but I have issues with the ink coming off. What am I missing?
Thanks! As for the decal making, what sort of printer do you have?
@@MannsModelMoments it's an HP laserjet color printer.
That's a difficult one, as that's what I'm using. Is it one colour coming off, or all of them?
Great video! This really has made me think about buying the kit. I do have one question about it though. What is the thickness of the pylons and the side winders? Thank you.
They're not bad for this scale
What type of Pledge do you use for this, and can that be used to shine the canopy too? Thanks
Check out the video below (this is one of my top asked questions!) th-cam.com/video/HFPvjfE1ZSM/w-d-xo.html
@@MannsModelMoments Seems this is discontinued as from Jan 2022. Anything else that will do the same? I'm struggling to find something
Working on that atm - the answer is...maybe...video out relatively soon I hope
