My husband passed away Sunday night and my only hope for not crying myself to sleep every night is watching your videos. I thank you for helping me get through this difficult time. Oh my gosh Bill. We miss you still out here. I know you've earned your retirement and I hope you and Gayle are having a blast. Luckily we have videos of your shows. This old world just isn't the same without. After all the years of watching your shows and listening to your stories, you can still make me laugh out loud, even though I know most of your stuff by heart. I believe I have a lifetime pass to the dork convention, so I can relate. My first car was a khaki-colored 1969 Toyota Corona (yes, I'm that old) - marked down because it was a demo. It was a metal box with wheels, which looked like it came out of a WWII war movie - on the Japanese side.
No matter how bad of a day I've had, you make me laugh and realize that it's not all bad.....the workday is over, you're home safe, cold beverage at hand - life is actually pretty good after all!! 😂💖👏

Got that beat-my first car was a 1979 Chevy Malibu _station wagon,_ the color of poo, with an engine best described as “a breakdown looking for a place to happen,” nicknamed the Beast! And did I mention that this car was a hand-me-down from my mom when she got a new car to go to work with? Yep, a Mom-mobile!
@@dragondancer1814 I actually love a quintessential mom car.. the one I learned how to drive in was a '69 ford wagon.. 10 passenger.. drove like a boat and dad taught me to do doughnuts in the school parking lot after a good snow storm. When we finally got rid of that car, the place where the jump seats went had rusted out and dad had chicken wire down there.. I miss that car.

My best friends husband worked for a place that delivered farm equipment. At that time they lived in Uvalde Texas and he had to deliver some farm equipment to George Straight. He visited with him for quite a long time and said that he was really a nice guy. My friends husband is too. Handsome and as funny and as friendly as the come so I’m sure that he and George Strait got along well together. When he told my friend where he had been and who he had talked to she was sooo upset 😠. She said you went and saw George Straight without talking me???!!! 😊😊😊😊😊

I had a Vespa 150 in last 2 years of High School and first 2 of College. I got pulled over once, FOR SPEEDING, Going 30 in a 30 zone. The Cop lied, said I was going 40. I went to court, of course was found guilty by the crooked Judge (MONEYMONEYMONEY), and appealed. My Dad's lawyer said, I'll handle this for you, No Charge, it will be fun. For the Appeal, he subpoenaed the Judge, DA and COP. None of them showed up, case dismissed. I went back to the City (Alamo Heights, Texas) went in to see the Judge and showed him the dismissal. He just looked at me and laughed. I said, I don't think it's funny that you, A CROOKED JUDGE (Yea I said that), had the audacity to find me guilty of such a ridiculous crime. I think I'll SUE your City! Dads lawyer said I'd lose, the cops word is gold...I replied, No, in this case gold is LIES!

My 8th grade teacher had that car. I wouldn't call him a dork. He had a resting, "this is not how I envisioned things" face. Considering the population of that school, I'd say that's spot on even if he wanted to be a teacher. He was the only teacher I had that year actually try to be a teacher. My English teacher felt like we should charge him a co-pay for therapy. My science teacher just had us watch Bill Nye the Science Guy. (Now there's a dork Bill.) Maybe if I was 8 it would be fun. I doubt it. If you want to insult my intelligence, do it to my face. Don't hide in a studio. I'm such a nerd that one of my cats was named after a chemistry lesson. My fantasy pet is a 3-headed cat. I want to name it Isotope. Each head would be named after the 3 isotopes of Carbon. [Just imagine a GIF of Homer Simpson yelling NERD! here]

Hey Bill, I know nobody in mind that deserves it. Here’s your sign and it’s not you of course not. You got a buddy of yours from college that just doesn’t get it Bill like how do I put it in a short format type thing OK ever got a friend that just thinks he knows everything like he’s Mr. know it all yeah I got one of those buddies. Another thing what’s the deal with the black button on the iPhone? It’s like you try to block somebody on your phone, but it doesn’t work. They still get a hold of you block men’s block for a reason but I guess it doesn’t mean for contacts and your phone isn’t that crazy? Is that a spam call You know try blocking those numbers you know they still keep coming through crazy technology nowadays. Anyway, always good to listen to your videos of the past makes me laugh. Sometimes we need it more than we think we do. We need you to come out of retirement bill. The world needs more bill. We also need a guy named Larry and guy name, Ron and oh maybe you heard a blue collar comedy tour rides again again that’s right we love for you guys to come back I retirement, and go back onto that would be awesome.
