Was pretty excited to find this recording! Acoustic versions of classic Mac tunes cut with great interview segments recorded the same day talking about his discography, old MV songs/demos, and why he resonates with so many fans. The sound quality is solid and it's cool to hear Mac vibe with the crowd; basically a Live & Acoustic, Vol. 2. Looking at the tour dates, this appears to have been recorded January 13th, 2016. Background:
On a tour of New Zealand Mac DeMarco announced an in-store performance at Flying Out Records. Hundreds of fans turned up to the store that can hold about 100 people max, so not wanting to disappoint anyone the concert was moved to the carpark out back.
