      Kevin is such a long road trip guy 🚙he has far more patience for it than we do-the Cabot Trail trip was all his idea 😁 It was awesome to squeeze in a lot of outings together during his vacation.

    Kyuho knows the right way to get into the ocean. Once you're waste deep it's torture to go in slowly. You just have to go all in and bare the shock of the freezing cold water! After that you acclimate pretty quickly.
    Sarah, your mom is so cute! I always enjoy when we get to see her in your guys' videos. Thanks for sharing!

    Thank you for the PSA about staying off the black rocks. There are over 40 warning signs to stay off them, but they are largely ignored by tourists who don’t know about the unpredictability and strength of the ocean. The most recent death was earlier in Spring when a wave came up and swept 2 brothers into the ocean. Only one was able to be saved. The man who died was only 23.
    Be safe everyone!

    • @2hearts1seoul
      @2hearts1seoul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yes, there are signs everywhere and yet every time we go there are STILL people way down on the black rocks. It’s not uncommon to see people being their young children there as well. Those waves and come up high SO suddenly…just respect the ocean by enjoying the views from a safe distance.

    • @sheila3936
      @sheila3936 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@tanzanable that’s true, although in this techy age where most people have cellphones they could easily install a translator app. If I saw scary, brightly coloured warning signs in a foreign language I’d be tempted to get them translated.

    • @2hearts1seoul
      @2hearts1seoul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Many signs are just images of black/dark rocks and a high wave near the water with a person falling in and ‘DANGER’ written on top. A very clear message no matter what language one speaks.

    The sky/scenery is so beautiful. It’s so nice seeing you with your family. You have a good balance of life living in S. Korea and traveling to Nova Scotia for vacation. You can enjoy family, food, and scenery in Nova Scotia and then return to the modern/affordable conveniences of Korea.

    You're making me homesick for Nova Scotia; the place where my Mom was from and where I spent every summer until my Grandmother died. Nova Scotia is my favourite province, hands down. Now that most of my relatives have died, I've only got 1 cousin living in Dartmouth. The rest of my Cousins have made their way to Ontario.

    I like the warning signs 😂 much better than here~ CA is more like ‘you better use your head or else’ here is more like ‘warning don’t do it’ and then things are roped or blocked and then if others find a way around they attempt to sue if they get injured. Such beautiful views! Loving all the family time guys! 💝

    Why would you stay in congested Seoul, where you literally have to pick days to go outside due to the pollution, when you can enjoy the beaches, lobster rolls, and clean fresh air of Canada?

    • @2hearts1seoul
      @2hearts1seoul  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol, because there’s only 2-3 months (tops) of the year where the weather is actually nice/warm enough to do these types of activities in Canada. We can’t just ‘pick a day’ in Canada either due to the very long, cold winters (often from November through April) 😅 The leaves don’t fully come out until June. Why do you think we go to Canada during the summers? ;)

      @@2hearts1seoul I would rather brave the cold. Korea is so polluted, noisy, crowded, impatient, and in general, lacks any greenery. The culture is hyper-capitalised and constantly buzzing like it's always coked out. People NEED to have the latest everything, every cafe is an Instagram cafe, and even the foods are dictated by whatever Instagram says is in vouge. I get it would be fun for someone in their 20s, but I wouldn't, couldn't, call it home. I hope you guys are able to visit your family more and soak up all that fresh air.

      I mean, if Seoul isn’t for you, that’s fine, but we aren’t you, so 😅 For us, seasonal affect disorder is very real, and when winter is 6-7 months of the year, it’s brutal. We’re in our 30s and still very much enjoying life in Seoul for the time being. We live in a quieter area near a park and enjoy a good balance of city and greenery. To each their own!

      You are correct. The English version of the first book is “Anne of Green Gables.” Is the first book titled “Anne of Red Hair” in Korean? As a red head, I find that so endearing. I also really want to travel to PEI and Halifax because of that series.

      It’s his car and he said he doesn’t feel comfortable with anyone else driving it. He doesn’t drive ‘for’ us-half of these trips were his idea. We’re all hanging out-he’s not our chauffeur, he’s just the one who happens to reside in Canada and owns a car 🤷🏻‍♀️ We aren’t residents of Canada, nor do we have a Canadian driver’s license or car insurance in Canada.
