I met Snake at the grocery store in 2005. I shouted, "Snake! Dude!" He shouted back, "Dude! You!" and gave me a high five. I thanked him for being an influence on my playing and he seemed genuinely proud to hear that.

SKID ROW HAD INCREDIBLY "GIFTED"AND TALENTED MUSICIANS AND SING WRITERS, 2 OF THE BEST GUITARISTS OF ALL TIMES (AGAIN, DAVE AND SCOTTIE WAS THE REASON I WANTED TO START TO PLAY GUITAR) AND TOP THAT OFF WITH SABASTIAN B'S JUST AMAZINGLY POWERFUL YET BEAUTIFUL VOICE AND... BOOM 💥💥 YOU HAVE ONE OF THE GREATEST BANDS OF ALL TIMES!! I STILL LOVE TO THIS DAY HOW YOU REALLY CAN'T TELL WHERE SEBASTANS VOCALS END IN THE TONES OF A SCREAMING HARMONIC OR ANOTHER GUITAR NOTE. IT'S SIMPLY AMAZING!!! THANK YOU DAVE YOUR MUSIC HAS BASICALLY GOT ME THROUGH ALMOST OVER 2 THIRDS OF MY 44 YEARS OF LIFE AND STILL COUNTING BROTHER!!👍☝

I got a few of Snakes picks from a show he did in the 90's in a smaller joint, my parents were there with my mom more or less propped on one of the monitors up front on the stage and he threw her a few picks... Saved them, gave them to me when I started playing because "Here use these!"... *I didn't use them because dude, Snake's picks, that's awesome*

KISW was having a pick a ticket weekend and everyone was picking john cougar mellencamp so I knew the DJ had tickets, I was caller number 9 of 10 and said.... hey, I know you got Skid Row tickets because everyone is picking john. I told him my story of being a broke new dad and he said I caught him in a good mood and he gave 2 tickets. My wife's first live concert... Skid Row and Pantera.... lol. She enjoyed it when Sebastian whipped out his cock and shook it at the crowd... no disrespect but I loved you both but had to see Pantera..... my son is almost 30 now and a great American and successful businessman and fan of both bands.....oh, I'm guitarist too.....

I used to sing Monkey Business with my cover band and I'm convinced the song is cursed to start a bar fight. We played it five times over a few gigs and out of the five times three fights broke out. After the third time we agreed to stop playing it because a lot of damage happened to the bar. Another weird thing about it was the fights always broke out after the high note in the intro; it's like as soon as the drums hit all hell broke loose.

Which is a big reason he wants nothing to do with a certain former singer of his these days. Met them at a record store signing back in summer '89 when they were opening for Bon Jovi. Snake, Rachel and Scotti were the coolest and took a minute to talk with everyone, but even back then, that former singer was a complete ass.

      Hi Sydney.
      Port Mac, here.
I love what he said about groove , how the snare sits on the back of the beat , and voila, that's their groove !
I never realised this but that is precisely why I loved them (and still do).
Think of it : without that groove, they'd be Iron Maiden!
It's what kept them in the 'Hard Rock' genre and not 'Metal'.
It's the groove that puts this swagger, this rolling attitude...a common thread in all the Rock bands I like : G n R...the Cult...ACDC....even Motley Crue & Poison!
( I'm not admitting to being a fan of the last pair...but let's just say I've learnt a solo or six from our Glam friends , CC Deville & Mick Mars 😉).

I saw Skid Row supporting Guns N Roses back in 1991. I've been a massive fan since. Snakes persona is nothing like I imagined him to be. Considering he made some of the best riffs of the 80s and 90s he is so humble and down to earth. Wish him every success.
