Yvonne, you are an artist and this IS your "real job". You earn a living doing what your heart tells you to do and you love doing it even though sometimes it is difficult. It begs a question for me; did anyone tell Van Gogh, Matisse, Monet, O'Keeffe, Homer, Wyeth, Sergeant, Vermeer, Pollock, Remington, Rembrandt, etc., etc., etc. to "get a real job?" Keep doing what brings you joy! Thanks so much for sharing your art! I love your tutorials and hanging out with you is very stress relieving.

you have wonderful teaching and artistic skills and your hands are a delight to watch. Thanx for great camera work, you show what we are aiming for as a constant reference, I have never seen that done before. Cant wait to check out your other teachings, new to this work, have a huge stash of beads that I bought to get started, then got involved in knitting and mosaic.
    Blessings of gratitude!

Yvonne, I am extremely new to making jewelry, and can't explain or even try to count how many tutorials on line I have watched, over the last few months, but I am ABSOLUTLY certian I'm not fib to be doing any more searches. I truly love your designs, but above all I love listening to you and hearing Randy interject, I honestly felt as if I was sitting right bedside you. You cover it all. Thank you, Thank you, thank you!!!

I made a three tier bracelet with copper herringbone wraps around clear crystals and stone beads between. I was fighting with the memory wire a little bit getting in the way but it came out really nice. I love this technique. Thank you for this video!❤️

You should be proud of your camera work. This video was really great! I love the closeups of the finished bracelet in the corners. What a great idea. It's wonderful that you are helping crafters price their work. Pricing is a difficult subject. I've read that it's important to keep track of how long is takes to make a project (on average) and price a piece accordingly. I think some people forget or minimize the value of their labor.

Beautiful piece of jewelry. I have memory wire but usually don't care for it because the ends look unfinished. I really love how you took care of that. Enjoy your videos very much, you teach techniques that build on one another instead of trying to pack it in. Thanks.

Hi there Yvonne and randy! I am a new subscriber as of last night! This is my 1st tutorial from you! I’m so excited cuz I have always wanted to learn herringbone weave! I have to give you kudos for all the different camera angles plus the repetition of the weave instead of fast forwarding like so many do! I’m s self taught jewelry artist as well! I just love how clear, concise and descriptive and easy to follow this was! This has given me ideas for necklace and bracelet components earrings as well as possibly a ring with 1 weave! Thanks so much from the bottom of my heart!!

Lovely! My thumbs ache after doing work with lower gauge wire but it is worth it. Couple of tips for memory wire. File the end of the wire with a nail file so it won't stab or scratch you. Also, if you put the eraser from a pencil on the open end while working it helps. Love your designs!

I have discovered that working from home you actually work longer hours. You might take breaks for laundry, cooking, pet care, etc., but in retrospect your longest break is equivalent to a lunch break at work. The good news is no pants, or working in your pajamas.

This is the kind of stuff that I like doing to make up some nice pieces fairly quickly and easily. I don't like memory wire much but this is really nice and I'm going to use up whatever I have left from the kits I used to get when I first started to make some nice pieces to bulk up my inventory. I have some really nice round amethyst beads that would look lovely like this. ...Thanks for the reminder. ..I think I made one necklace with memory wire and as you said it was a pain in the bum so the rest of the necklace size and the bracelet size is still there...Thanks again for the upload. ..the dots are me mentally going through what beads and stones I have lol!

Witch made it more delicate looking. With a copper bead in between the herringbone sections. I love the way it turned out! Thanks for the great idea!! I never thought of using memory wire as a bast for wire wrapping! great idea!! Hugz, Suzie :-)

Hi Yvonne!! I'm fairly new to the TH-cam app.Always thought it was ONLY music, news, etc.Stumbled upon your channel and ABSOLUTELY Luv IT!! I'm not sure if you'll see my post....however,Memory Wire comes in assorted finishes, sizes and round OR square(shape of MW) For structures such as this I'd use carbon steel vs. stainless steel (which will relax with time)I'd suggest doing a search on Fire Mountain Gems to see the variety. MW can be used for rings and necklaces as well as earrings! TFS!! I Love mandatory hug breaks as well!M.

Hi Yvonne, thank you for another great video. I just wanted to share something with you all. I use memory wire to make decor stuff, like wraps to go around pillar candles and I also use the ring memory wire to make wine glass 🍷 charms. You can buy white pillar candles from discount stores and then decorate your memory wire, say 3 rounds of it, with Christmas themed beads. You can make the traditional Xmas look with red, green and gold beads, or -- and this is my favourite -- you can use gold and clear crystal beads. They also look great with a charm or two dangling from the loop you have to make at the beginning and end of the memory wire. I hope this helps someone!
Merry Christmas to you and Randy, love from Amanda in Australia xox

Not sure if we were supposed to see you talking at the end of the tutorial but all we could see was your workspace.
btw why did you cut each bead instead of just continuing the pattern along the core wire like you normally would with a different weave?

Love this video so much that I made a bracelet the same, but why does my centre strand not stay facing the same way? The center beads twist and turn when l am wearing it, I have pushed them together but they still twist. How can I rectify this?. Hugs

That's wild that you remember where you were when you were making bracelets like that like a photo album. I'm like that with food. I have certain foods that if I eat them in front of the TV they remind me of the last thing I was watching when I ate them last. It's weird. Lol I dig the 2 camera angle though.
