Road to Conqueror with random civs No.6 - AoE 4 / Rus vs Abbasid

This is the sixth game and first longer game with Rus. Hopefully this time no 60 bunti.

Any tips to improve apm? I keep getting right on the edge of gold and plat then drop right back down, I tend to lose to age 3 fights or losing a few troops early on

Hm, do you use any hotkeys? When i started playing AoE 4 before ranked came out, I always played mouse only, which started to get messy in micro and macro.
Therefore I suggest to use at least hotkeys for TCs and buildings, such as using the actual keyboard for building units instead hovering the mouse over.
In combat or fighting with army hotkeys help you to not seek your units over the map and shift queing helps to not always needing to watch over one unit.

@@sausagegames5598 could start, but was using many on buildings rather than units, think i used only 1 on them

@@kevkevtech9799 instead of the hotkeys 1,2,3 etc onto buildings I make use of the 'select all stable', 'select all archery ranges' etc hotkeys that you can set in settings. Some people do it differently (e.g. shift + S, for select all stables... or I also have the H key for 'horse'). Use those hotkeys to select military production buildings frees up your 1,2,3,4 to be used solely for military control groups (e.g., 1 for front line, 2 for ranged, and 3 for mangos, and 4 for springs (or whatever works best for you). You were winning this game until you lost a bunch of mangos to their horseman. ggwp.
