Was going to like but can’t bring myself to change it from 67🍀 But Celtic fans also. What a guy he is! Surprised he even came to us. Would’ve thought he’d be the type to have offers in the Arab nations or MLS.
500k and he gave us over 350 games 12 years of service, picked up 4 Golden Gloves, 2 PL 2 LC and the FA cup. So sorry the way it ended still doesn't sit right to this day deserved far better. Glad he's smashing it in Celtic.
Sad that it didn't work out for him. Genuinely think that he could have been a better fit under Pep than Claudio. Luckily his last official game for us ended in a win (Delphy🐐) and a clean sheet. Miss him
I didn’t think you’d get a better guest then Stephen Hendry and you just have done. Hart performance at camp Nou is still the best GK performance I’ve ever seen
Absolutely. The last good old fashioned shot stopper in the prem. Modernisation unfortunately caught up with him as he wasn’t able to play from the back under pep and had to be sold .
Joe knows quite well to pick the legends among many top players When a player is able to keep his peak for years and years so consistently that's the difference between world class and just good players Kun Aguero and David Silva the perfect example of world class legends for that reason
Ahh David Silva, one of the first time i seen him at City i thought he was going to be bullied in the league, then he turned round and give the opposition player a kick in revenge, i knew he was going to be fine 😎
Pre Joe Hart but David White and Paul Lake etc are well remembered but one player not mentioned but absolutely crucial to that Man City transition Fernandinho. Tevez pain in the arse but what a player.
Only come across this podcast lately and it’s become one of my fav already. Joe Hart was good and some performances for Celtic shows he still got it. Unfortunate when pep took over and demanded GK had to play soccer as well as save. He was the original scapegoat.
P.S. these mentions of Barry and Milner should light up everyones mind of how important a functioning midfield is...look at how other squad recently..all of them...Pool, Arse, Manu, Chavski.....all breaking apart because of midfield disfuynction
I love Pep but it really hurt me how club legends were treated because he didn't fact them including Heart. The one that hurt the most was Yaya his Mancity end was treated so badly by Pep
Pep's "harsh decisions" are the reason why the club has been mad successful, consistent and one of the best in Europe in the last 7 years. You can't get too attached to the players as a Manager, because one day they might not play the same way they were doing yesterday, and you'll need to move on from these players and bring in someone else, who's hungrier to win trophies and in a better shape. If you look at Liverpool this season, they're performing below their standards because Klopp created a bond with his players and refused to bring in players, any players really, and now the likes of Fabinho, Van Dijk, Robertson aren't playing that well, so the team is suffering.
@@geckopubg obviously I'm not saying Pep was wrong he was right in what he did which is clear from the success. But as a fan you get attached to your favourite players and Yaya was the idol and it was hard to see it end the way it ended and I think it also tarnished his legacy he doesn't get the respect he deserves he was so good there was nothing he couldn't do
Considering Claudio Bravo was awful makes you think that decision wasn't one of Pep's best. Joe Hart should've stayed until Ederson came in and Joe could've been a good veteran support similar to what Carson does.
Just watched the full podcast with Joe Hart. Such a sound bloke that when it came to nuno he didn't really saying anything bad . Obviously It could have been cut but . Such a good goalkeeper . Loved the way he defended James milner . Top bloke . Good episode
I went to Hart's debut that was 0-0 against Sheffield United, remember at the time thinking Weaver might start because of injuries and being gutted when he was still out and it was Hart 😂
This is crazy I was in the pavilion shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur wearing a haaland shirt I think he’s talking about me 🤯🤯🤯 it would of been last year maybe last September October time
Remember before Dunne, but also remember when out CB was player of the year four years running. For your info,......that's usually not a very powerful attacking team...one year....10 home goals all season. read that again...10 goals all season long. Haaland broke that in two weeks. Those werent the days
😅 I remember that season under Stuart Pearce, don;t think i watched a 2nd half at a home game that year, we used to buy 5 pints each at half time and stay under the south stand singing 🤪
Big Joe, what a leg he was for City. he deserved better treatment from Pep imho as the way he ws unceremoniously dumped tarnished his reputation. It even resulted in him losing his England shirt. He deserved better. He's doing great up in Bonnie Scortland so maybe all;s well that ends well.
Was proper gutted when pep got rid of Joe, 😢 can’t really argue with pep at the end of the day tho but always felt we should of at least kept him till we got ederson cause that bravo wer shite 😅
I remember the days of the Brazil World Cup and earlier tourneys. It was hard to be a Brit abroad then. We always had high hopes for England and it just didn’t materialise for us. Was immense when Spain kept winning though. The country was on party mode 💯 Really glad England nowadays do fairly good in tournaments. It was you guys who laid those foundations for them 💯🔥❤️🙏
I remember City signing Fernandinho and Spurs signing Paulinho, Sky guessed the Paulinho would pop and Fernandinho, David Silva and Yaya Toure would all flop 😂
Hart was England's main keeper in 3 majors and he didn't cover himself in glory at Euro2012 especially his shootout vs Italy, a really poor WC2014 and Euro2016 was an embarrassment where he also made 2 howlers that led to goals vs Wales & Iceland so when Pickford comes in and helps win England a WorldCup shootout gets to first major Semi-final in over 20years and then keeps several clean sheets at Euro2020 & even saved a pen in England's first major final in 55 years from a penalty specialist it's a bit obvious why he's in the team & Hart isn't. Hart had his chance.
He made multiple title-winning saves in the run in to the Agueroooo goal and for about 4 years there wasn't a better GK in the PL, but then he seemed to develop a sort of fault where he would concede goals low to his left and I think some opposition may have cottoned onto it. Seemed like his confidence dropped and by Pellegrini's latter period he was making mistakes for club and country He will always have that night in Barcelona, the night his heroics made Messi collapse on the floor in frustration and disbelief. Not many can say that about the GOAT
Unfortunately Hart reached his peak at 25 and became too prone to errors and had one too many faults in his game and with his inability to play sweeper keeper his time at City under Pep's leadership didnt even start. Pep was straight with him, even Hart has admitted that, and he was finished as a top flight keeper. Subsequent failed moves to Italy, Blackburn and Spurs proved that and although he's been okay in the Scottish farmers league, Pep has been proven that he made the right decision for City as a club.
Every Man City fan loves Joe Hart. He was unreal. History in Man City is incomplete without Joe.
Good keeper, fans give him a lot of stick because of England.
Was going to like but can’t bring myself to change it from 67🍀 But Celtic fans also. What a guy he is!
Surprised he even came to us. Would’ve thought he’d be the type to have offers in the Arab nations or MLS.
History and Man City are two words that don’t belong together.
I don't. Good but a weak link
Absolutely true

I was there for Joe's last game at the Etihad. City legend and so happy to hear he has so much love in his heart for the club and it's history
I was sat behind the goal, everyone was singing for pep to keep him, was sad to see a legend leave before the end of their prime

Joe Hart is one of the best keepers to play in the premier leaguge. Won multiple golden gloves, won multiple titles. Champion
City legend Joe. I'll never forget the Messi penalty save thanks for the memories.

Richard Dunne 🤩 Such a good defender and wayyy faster than people thought.

Love Big Joe! Legend for City.
Absolutely love Joe Hart. For me the spine of the club from 2008 until Pep
Absolutely. The last good old fashioned shot stopper in the prem. Modernisation unfortunately caught up with him as he wasn’t able to play from the back under pep and had to be sold .
Absolute top man Joe Hart. Buzzing hes playing games, enjoying football and winning trophies.
Loved Joe. What a keeper. Proper City legend. Dealt with some crap since 2016 but im so glad hes loving it at Celtic.
One of the best interviews yet in a series of great interviews.
He was very much a club legend. Thanks for sharing pal.
Legend at Celtic now 🍀🍀🍀
Mark Hughes was a godsend for City with the first bunch of players that he chose, Zabaleta, Barry, De Jong, Kompany etc
He did play kompany as CDM but yeah 😂
