    Replace $4500 with $3500, not sure why I said $4500 so many times 😂

      I haven’t finished the video yet but this has happened a lot lately.
      People haven’t been saying it’s $5000.
      Not sure why.

    • @TrentonsTech

      @@westmcgee9320 technically if I include the cost of AppleCare and that I got a 1TB model, it comes out to about $4500 lol
      But yeah the base model is $3500 in the US but different prices in different countries

    • @westmcgee9320
      @westmcgee9320 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@TrentonsTech you can absolutely do all that but I didn’t get Apple Care. It’s optional.
      Accessories are optional.
      I think it’s only fair to either state the actual base model price or qualify the statement, clarifying that it includes the accessories you chose, the coverage you opted into, and maybe the taxes.

    19:43 You got your sub.
    I love my AVP and use it daily. There are things you’ve said here with which I might quibble or disagree but the thought process is so solid as compared to so many other AVP reviews, even after 6 months, that I didn’t really feel moved to comment on much of it.
    Not even sure what the rest of your content tends to be about but I guess I’ll find out.
    I was glad to see someone mention the color and material, along with its potential to get stained or dingy. I’d love for Apple to address that.
    That said, I’m cool with the battery life.

    I love my AVP. Main use case is media consumption, especially when travelling. For work it's great when I need multiple windows open, even better than my Apple Display in this specific situation. At $4500+ though it's niche for sure. Once its cheaper it will cannibalise the iPad.

    • @PSYCHOV3N0M
      @PSYCHOV3N0M 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It won't cannibalize the iPad. Most people don't want to wear a HEADSET. That's the reason Apple Vision Pro isn't selling well. It's not because of the $3,500 price. The headset can cost $1,000 or less and it still won't sell very well.
      iPad has its own target audience.
      Vision Pro has its own target audience.
      If anything, people want Smart Glasses. Not a HEADSET.

    • @westmcgee9320
      @westmcgee9320 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s $3500.
      Not sure why video after video and, in this case, even the commenters keep saying otherwise.

      I love my AVP but am not a Mac guy.
      So, our use-cases differ a bit.
      I agree that for a flight, it’s killer.

    I love mine but recognize that I’m the edge case that this product is for right now. I’m more excited about where the Vision products will be in 5 to 10 years than worried about the current limitations. The foundation that Apple has laid down is solid and they have a strong vision of where to take Spatial computing. I plan to buy the new M4 Mac Mini to partner with it and retire/sell my old Intel iMac and MacBook Pro. I haven’t used my Quest 2 or 3 since I got the AVP and I’d sell them if they were worth anything on the use marketplace but they’re not.

    Great review. As an AVP owner, I agree with much of what you said here. I love the machine. It's amazing. I just want it to do more. Assume it will with time. But I want it now! I bought mine now because I wanted to start watching spatial video of my kids asap. I've really enjoyed it for that. Took some spatial vids in Hawaii... and watching them back on the AVP reminds me of what it was like to be there, much more so than a regular video does.

    I agree. Apple needs more. I absolutely love my AVP and won’t sell it but immersive youtube VR and more apple immersive experiences are needed. Plus, they need to create the perfect light seal which won’t make you feel like you’re looking through binoculars. I modified mine to have nearly max field of vision. I get it……Apple is learning but needs some work.

  • @UteGirlz
    @UteGirlz 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I would like some some kind of shared experience. Eg. If I set up a virtual screen in my room, someone else with their own Vision Pro can see the screen if they walk into my room. And we can watch a movie together. (Once these are affordable that is)

    Content, Content, Content… Apple needs to invest in content and getting developers to continue to develop. There’s no reason we don’t have a live baseball or football game yet on vision.

    The most important feature to me is Virtual Mac Display. It’s pretty good, but they need to fix some really important things. The biggest problem is the Input Temporarily Not Working error. That has to never happen.
    The second thing is more screen real estate. Personally, I would rather have the anticipated wide curved screen than multiple monitors for two reasons. Primarily, I think real monitors are flat for manufacturing reasons. Virtual screens don’t have that limitation. They should be projected onto a sphere so every pixel is equidistant from my eyes. Making a giant flat screen is a pain trying to access the corners because they are so much further away and at an oblique angle. The second reason is that I don’t like multiple monitors with the MacOS because the menu only appears on one of them. It’s really annoying trying to interact with a window when the menu bar is not there.

      @@TrentonsTech Using the AVP outside is amazing. There is literally no screen glare. No problems with bright sun. Using apps on it versus trying to use an iPhone screen in the sun is so much better. Obviously, the iPhone has my entire life on it, but the best feature would be if Apple did the iPhone remote (that is happening on the Mac in iOS 18) on the AVP. It is so important to have that feature. To be clear, the AVP will get iPhone screen mirroring, but you still need to interact with the phone screen. The Mac will allow interacting with the phone directly.

    For me, the price isn't the problem. It's what you DON'T GET for that price that's the problem.
    Vision Pro doesn't even have Wi-Fi 6E in 2024 when Wi-Fi 7 devices already exist.
    That's embarrassing. 🤣🤣🤣

    exactly my sentiments. so many features and content marketed but updates are far inbetween. if it were truly a "spatial computer" then windows would "lock into place". having to reposition windows/objects is the main obstacle for me. Steve Jobs definitely would have addressed that by now.

    • @acslater017
      @acslater017 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not a fan of "Steve Jobs would have...". He let *plenty* of things slide for years. It took iPhone, a product with far more customers, a full year to get 3G, copy and paste, an App Store, Exchange, GPS and 2 years to get a video camera and a compass. We're 6 months into Vision Pro.
