So informative your making me smarter
1. I store my toothbrush in my bedroom (I live with my family and they aren't the cleanest people)
2. I close the lid when I flush the toilet (praying that my family does too)
3. I regularly wipe down all the handles in the kitchen (and everywhere else too) with antibacterial wipes (again... due to certain family members)
4. I don't use public transport anymore, thank god (but for other reasons)
5. I disinfect my phone at least once a week as well as my handbag (though I hardly ever put it on the floor, and certainly not in bathrooms!)
6. I always wash my hands before I eat and don't touch anything but my food until I'm done eating... at least I try. Also, I hardly ever eat with my hands anyway
7. I just generally wash my hands all the time
I think I'm as good as you can be in a world full of gross people.
Germs are literally everywhere. I am stunned by the amount of germs on some of the things and places we interact with each day.

I got so annoyed with people flushing the toilet with the seat up and creating a bacteria volcano that I've made an attachment on the seat at home which covers the button if the seat is still up.
I’m a host at a restaurant and they hardly clean the menus the night before and I hate having to touch them and hand them out to people who are about to eat when I come in. I wash my hands many times during my 4-5 hour shifts.

I agree with every bit of this but how would fecal matter end up on a cutting board in greater quantities than the toilet?
Because of people flushing with the lid up, showering themselves with fecal matter in the process. And also, due to not properly washing hands before handling a cutting board. I guess the cutting board is particularly bad because it doesn't have a smooth surface. Germs can stick to it very easily and are harder to get off.

Don't forget that meat has animal shit residue on it too. Germs from the offal of the animals, can contaminate the meat.

A tip when flying: bring disinfectant wipes (alcoholic wipes) and clean your seat area when you get there. Armrest, traytable, entertainment system display and controller, any buttons ect. Then you can enjoy your flight knowing its clean.

I'm already a germphobe and have a problem with excessive sanitizing. This video failed to mention however that some bacteria can actually help you fight infection. If you're not exposed to any bacteria, you won't build a strong immunity and will be more prone to diseases.

Use soft soaps for washing hands, too much of sanitizer and handwash liquids make the back side of your palm dry. If it's too dry you will have situation there also.
So when you wash your hands prefer mostly wash your palms rather than washing back of your palm, because that skin can't stay dry each time when you wash your hands,
but yes I didn't mean that you shouldn't always wash back of palm.

The toilet seat is always down in my house unless someone is using it. I hated when my in-laws came always the know it all people. They'd go in use the toilet, not always flush and if they did they'd leave the seat up. When I told them about all the germs that would fly out of the toilet they'd laugh and say I was being too picky and bossy. The woman had been a nurse ! I had the last laugh when I went to their house and saw they left their toothbrushes out on their bathroom counter top and their toilet seats up. Going to the bathroom there and leaving the toilet seat up while flushing was never so much fun. I always left knowing I'd left a little bit of me behind.

Bacteria are ubiquitous, meaning they're everywhere. You'll never ever get away from them no matter how hard you try. And honestly, in some cases you shouldn't. Right now you're covered in germs inside and out. But that's not always a bad thing as some microbiota are important for our survival like that in our intestines. That doesn't mean you shouldn't wash your hands, (no seriously, please wash your hands). But you don't need to live in fear of germs either. Just... Don't put random things into your mouth or rub them on any open wounds...
