This episode did so much it was amazing! Percabeth already feels like they do in the book SO looking forward to more scenes like this plus some a whole lot more relaxed 😂 Grover really shone though, from having nothing to do in this chapter to actually manipulating Ares is such a step up! Can't wait for the Lotus Casino, hoping it's as terrifying and as enticing as I've always imagined, plus super looking forward to seeing how Iris Messages look!
It was! I said episode 4 was my favorite last week, but it’s been one upped, this episode was so good!!! Me, too! They’re giving the characters more depth since we get to see other POVs now and I’m so happy Grover is getting more to do and showing his abilities, it’s so cool! I’m so excited for Tuesday! We’ve got Joe Tracz from the Lightning Thief Musical involved in that, so I have high hopes! Ooh, me too, the crystal looked so awesome!
That’s valid, the hug was so long, too!🥹 Aww, I love that for us😭 Are you also an empathetic crier? I always end up crying if someone else is, it’s a domino effect. I don’t think it matters how many times I see that scene, I’m gonna at least tear up every single time
Thank you!☺️ I love them so much, and it definitely will be. That entire tunnel of love scene will be. And her saying, “You think you had to ask?” “Just making sure.” That’ll be a huge thing for sure😭
Grover thinks Clarisse stole the master bolt. I don’t know why people don’t see this, considering how antagonistic Clarisse has been to Percy already, but it’s all good. 😅😂
Yeah, literally an hour after I watched it, we were talking about it on one of my mutual’s TikTok lives and we came to that conclusion as well😂 In the moment, though, my brain was not caught up. I was out here lagging like Percy😭✌🏼
So... maybe I only noticed this on only about my tenth watch of the episode... and I'm not sure if this is gonna come up as intentional reference or if there will be a connection. Episode 1, Sally tells Gabe that she's going to go to D'Angelos for the sandwiches.
She did! I don’t know if they’ll call back to that or if it was just a fun easter egg for fans. I saw online that they said the name Kane on the first episode, too, alluding to the Kane Chronicles!
I watched this with my girlfriend, and they realized that Percy put himself between Hephaestus and Annabeth the moment he was out of the chair. He didn't know who this guy was, so he was still trying to protect Annabeth. 😭
I’m not entirely sure, but I believe it’s talked about in the books, yes. Not outwardly, though, I think it was a Percy inner monologue thing (but I could be remembering wrong). And Rick has talked about it before This was on his website: “Here’s the way I see it: The godly side of your family does not count, genetically speaking. You could drive yourself crazy if you thought about it - everyone is somebody’s cousin, nephew, half-brother, uncle, or whatever. But gods are special beings. They don’t have DNA and each god is a force unto himself/herself. They pass on some of their power to their demigod children, but not the entire bloodline of the Olympian family. Perhaps that’s why the gods have no qualms about intermarrying each other in such a small clan, unlike humans.”
Yeah, I think Percy was just standing there like 🧍 when Annabeth was hugging him. Classic Percy moment lol
Middle school boy energy, fr. I love him😂😭
And then he thought about it the rest of the day 😭😭
@@Ucerrrzcb939 That’d be me, replaying it over and over in my head, like, “Why didn’t you hug her back?!”😭
@@abbyzorel8295 That’s exactly what Percy was thinking which is why he made it clear it’s okay for her to hug him 😭. Baby percabeth is so cute.
@@abbyzorel8295 Also love how annabeth rushed to percy side when ares when getting him mad even gave ares a mad lool to really shows she loves percy
Ares the mean uncle that is brutally honest and Hephaestus the nice uncle to Annabeth is such a vibe. Hermes and apollo should be the funny uncles
And Artemis is the badass cool aunt.
@@bensonfang1868 Naturally😎
I was thinking that Hephaestus is probably Annabeth’s favorite Uncle with his actions

watching this episode, I weeped, had tears from the first hug. Then watching your reaction I was crying along with you

Another really good reaction Abby, love the way you put so much feeling into it. You do know that Percabeth hug will soon become iconic 😊

She said seaweed brain😭
Loved percybeth this episode

Awesome reaction. I love this show so much, I feel like I’m thirteen again lol
Thank you! No fr, I’m sitting here giggling and kicking my feet at everything😭
Percy is a complete savage in this show 💀😭😂🤣
I legit let out a shriek and clapped when Annabeth called him Seaweed Brain.
Im a 20 year old man.
You’re so real for that, though. It’s Percabeth😭 I’m 23, but you better believe that I will giggle and kick my feet at everything they do
i’m fully prepared for grover to blame clarisse 💀
Yeahhhh probably 😂

Is it stated in the books that the gods don't have DNA?
