I'm cheap so my new phones are usually 2 versions behind the newest. I just upgraded from an S6 active to the S8 active and "I love this phone". There are 3 things I look for in a phone, A good camera, Ruggedness, and long battery life. Just like the S6 active, this phone didn't let me down. It's too bad Samsung stopped making the active line otherwise in 2 years or so I would buy an S10 active. If you're cheap like me and want a good rugged phone? then get the S8 active.
Reasons to choose this phone over S8: 1. Insane battery life, it's so refreshing not having to worry about my phone dying while going out for the day. 2. Flat screen. I know the curved edges look nice, and overall make the phone look really pretty - but it really make the phone more prone to shattering/breaking. Plus, there are barely any (affordable) screen protectors that are good. 3. The durability. Sure, the S8 can also be durable if you have a heavy duty case - but who wants to spend a bunch of money on a case? Believe me, this phone is insanely good and I would choose it over any of the new phones on the market.
Reasons to get this over the S8: 1) Flat display that's "shatter resistant". 2) Larger battery at 4,000mAh vs 3,000mAh on the S8. 3) "Rugged" build meaning no need for a case to add extra bulk to the device.
I work in a steel mill and was not even messing with a glass back phone, and the s8actv is the most durable phone out, and the spigen tough armor case is the absolute most amazing case for the s8actv, it is super classy and badass looking and between the built in protection and that sturdy case I have the feeling in my hand of a truly indestructible piece of technology, and it really is. The bigger battery is great too, the s8s in general are the new standard in phones, they are amazing. Great video, thanks. Oh and at work we can't have our phones out on the production lines, too many slackers so they are cracking down, and the gear s3 frontier is totally making my life complete, I get all my notifications, receive and phone calls, control my Bluetooth music devices and have even gotten into the health trackers, it's so utility it is insane, and it looks cool as hell. In the super harsh environment I work it still has not a scratch on it too, so that shows you the durability of the new gorilla glass, it's untouchable, just like Samsung !!
It's December 2022 and I'm still using my s8 active although I just ordered a s22+ because I'm tired of waiting for this thing to break down. I've crashed on my dirt bike several times while it was in a holder being used for trail mapping once it came out and it took me 10 min to find it. It fell over the side of the boat while fishing once lucky it was In only 15 feet of water I definitely got my money's worth. Probably use it for music and gps still. This phone will be one of those "they sure don't make em like that anymore" phones.
+McJagger Kakdemet must have just launched at Samsung's site, when this video was made the only place you could buy the S8 Active was AT&T, so the information was accurate when the video was created and posted, which is all I can ever guarantee.
I received the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active for Christmas through T-mobile and I got everything I just saw you did but I got a really great set of headphones. We googled the value and they normally go for about $100. Been with T-Mobile about 20 years. Won't leave them. Great customer service as well as just all around goodies.
Thank you for the first actual review of this phone. I hope they don't wait too long to bring it to Europe. After Sammy said at&t is exclusive for limited time only I can have hope I guess. My S5 active gets a bit rusty.
+One punch Bud I think it will come unlocked after the first month at AT&T. Not great timing since Note 8 will be out by then too, but if you're set on this phone I bet you'll be able to get it!
Jeff Springer thank you for the info. Since I dropped my phone around 50 times this year alone (and I have it for 2,5 years) and it's still perfectly working - even without a case, that's why I want an active - there is no other smartphone I am interested in. In case of the note release the active will get a bit cheaper and that's great.
Great video, I've had my s8 active for going on 3 weeks, I've only had to charge the phone at night before I go to sleep on the wireless charger. No lie I haven't had to use the wall charger one time except for it's initial charge. No complaints would highly recommend this phone. Maybe not as pretty as the s8 and s8 plus but I'll trade that any day for a much larger battery and it's nearly unbreakable build. And no mine didn't come with headphones either.
Stevo Steez Jeff Springer Do you guys find the Active to be too bulky and/or heavy vs the S8+ ? If it's double the thickness of the regular S8/S8+, is it also double the weight and is it unweildy ? Honestly that's my only big concern. I have medium-sized hands for a guy (can handle most phones OK), and love the huge battery on the Active, but don't want a really bulky/heavy phone. I'm a current Note 5 user so can U comment on how it compares with that, if possible ?
Haven't held the s8 plus So I can't really compare but yes the phone is on the heavier side. But honestly it makes it feel like an expensive phone(and it is so it should) the weight and width don't bother me because the trade off is you don't need a case and the battery life is amazing. Not as sexy as the s8 and s8 plus but I'd recommend this phone to anyone. All comes down to what works for you.
Stevo Steez Thanks for the feedback Stevo, and the quick response. Sexiness is less important to me in a phone than utility, so that's why the Active appeals to me. I prob need to go play with a demo model at an AT&T store or a Best Buy to get a better sense of its heft. Love my Note 5 but being a medium to heavy user, I sometimes get annoyed if I feel I have to charge it more than once or twice a day. My GF recently tried the Huawei Mate 9 (has a 4000 mAh battery like the Active) and, although she wound up exchanging it for an LG V20, she loved that she only had to charge the Mate once every other day. And I was damn jealous of that ! 😃
Sharky165 no worry about battery life with this phone. Best battery life you can ask for from a flagship phone,, definitely at least check it out before you decide though. I definitely don't regret buying it.
Thanks. Exactly as intended, sturdiness and battery stamina are up there. Top. If you intend to use and keep a phone for a longer period, if not for any other reason but the cost, this is the phone to get - and I point out right away one of its strongest points: that camera is fabulous and unparalleled in low light. Beating a 1.7 aperture is not for any phone out there - dual camera is just a gimmick. I have Huawei, I know what I am talking about. Good, but not up to the Galaxy single camera.
so dual camera is just a gimmick?... So definetly not a reason to get Note8 just for the dual cams?... and stick with the smaller s8/active models? thank you
I just got my active about 48 hours ago from a sprint store. It was onsale, 50% off the $850 price tag. I got a pair of earbuds, but they aren't Samsung brand. I Don't care, I don't use em anyways. The screen gets micro scratches pretty easily, so I really suggest getting a screen protector instantly. But Sprint doesn't sell any accessories for this phone yet, so I had to go into an At&t store for screen protector. They were $40, so i decided to get it online for $12. Great for a daily user phone. Nothing fancy like the s8 curves and how they look with the more seemingly vivid screen. But the battery life, and the feel of this phone in hand without a case, is pretty great while talking or texting. For $450 on an 18 month lease, I'm very happy
I have a S8+ and the flat screen really makes the Active look weird. I may buy it but after seeing Jeremy Judkins' video and GS7 Active fails, I'm sticking with my -GS8- GS7.
I was looking to replace my S8+'s front glass & digitizer, but then I quickly found out that it's CAD$300 to get fixed, or CAD$300 for me to buy it from eBay or iFixIt and do it myself... So, in the end, I decided to find phones on eBay to buy instead of replacing my S8+'s broken screen. I came to the conclusion that I'm going to be getting the S8 Active. This may be considered a downgrade, but these things are going for CAD$200 used, shipped to my door on eBay! How can I refuse... I look forward to getting my new used phone (thousands of solds on this phone from the same seller, with 100% positive feedback.). I'm really excited for this phone, despite the screen being smaller than my S8+.I guess the only good thing this S8+ is good for now is a continuously running security camera. 🤷♂️
although the active isn't scratch-resistant as the regular s8, i like curves screens tho but having a scratched screen is bad. The reason why it is shatter-proof is because the screen is plastic which scratches easier.
It's very similar, I'll do a more detailed listen but I couldn't notice much difference. Pretty much everything aside from build, display, and battery are the same.
If you upgrade to the active, you can trade in your old phone for in store credit towards headphones. Not a good excuse for not having headphones already in the box but just an idea so no one is stuck without headphones. It's what I did. Got a nice pair of beats wireless 3s :)
It is a nice phone for someone who needs something more durable but its still not more dureable then say an S8 in a rugged armor case? Would it be more difficult to find quality cases for the active. Btw the battery is a huge bonus I can squeeze out 7-8 hours SoT on S8+ but on the active it could get up to 9. Bummer about the headphones! Thanks for review as always Jeff!
+Roy Glass probably it's similar to a S8 in an UAG or OtterBox case. The nice benefit is the back isn't glass so it won't shatter, the regular S8 will sometimes shatter even if you have a case if you drop it at the right angle. Yeah the battery and flat screen are the biggest reasons I see for buying it if you don't care about the ruggedness.
Jeff Thanks for the Review I was waiting for someone to do a review on the rugged one out of curiosity.I read a little on it but then again I read a little on all that have been coming out.Congrats on the New Home much Blessings.Always enjoy watching your reviews.Don't know how you find the time.Again appreciate it.I don't know if you are going to do one after having for a while or if you are returning but again Thanks for Review Deb.😉👍
Just out of curiosity... Where did you get the info about a "shatterproof layer" Att and Samsung reps.. (in store and online) all said its just gorilla glass 5 which is inherently shatter resistant
+GravX Reviews well if you read the press release they certainly lead you to believe it has some additional special sauce baked in...here's the relevant excerpt. If it were just GG5 I'd think they wouldn't put this language bit maybe I should look into it: goo.gl/photos/7NFSRZzqQcAq38eu8
+GravX Reviews you may be right as their fine print says shatter reisstant up to 5 feet, which is GG5 spec. I think it's shady of Samsung to word their press release this way personally if that's the case.
Jeff Springer it definitely is shady af.... Just like they show you it falling in a pool.. When they Dont cover water damage... Or the Full screen video on the screen of S8 plus when it's croped every way till Thursday. And you lose 15% of your image.. I'm. Not trying to step on your toes... But I just don't want people coming back to any of us saying but you said it's shatterproof.. Which some will definitely..... I just go with gorilla glass 5 and the phones design makes it more shatter resistant... Tempered glass and a spigen rugged armor Def make it drop proof =)
+GravX Reviews I understand what you're saying but Samsung needs to be more clear in their language as many big tech blogs published something very similar to what I mentioned because that's what the press release leads you to believe. I may consider doing a mini tear down to see if anything is different.
Jeff Springer yeah.. The Att reps read that word from word.. Lol gotta love that little fine print 7 above shatter resistant.. Take the blue pill and ask Sammy what the litte "7" means.. Give this a look over... The don't specify the glass screen.. It's all inclusive
Sorry for asking as I'm not from the US but do buyers in the US only able to get smartphones through a telecommunication company? Or is getting from a telecommunication company cheaper than getting it from Samsung itself? Why is it that most unboxing I see online (from US youtubers) get it from AT&T?
Jeff Springer Hi jeff , just a question mate , i have noticed with my S8+ if i use a chunky case my S8+ wont make proper contact with the usb fitting in the dex station , I`m just wondering if the active will work with the dex station given its chunky dimensions ?? Cheers .
hi....i'm from indonesia and i bought S8 active meteor gray couple months ago.....(its obviously used one from US) and i loved it so much.....i played with it in first few days to root , debloat and upgraded it to android 9 pie at last..... i wonder why samsung doesnt make active series successor after S8 active......i definitely would buy if there's S9 or S10 active series....
Would it not have been nice if Samsung had made an S8 mini? Just the size of a Sony Z1C with all the same features and Amoled display capt at 1080p? I have to remind you that the Z1C has a 20mpx camera and i bought it second hand ($60) to have a great camera with an Android OS. You just carry it around like a compact camera. Uses far less energy without the SIM and has a great screen. An S8 mini would have blown this away.
I have a S8 active and I love it the only thing they don't sell a cover so I went on Amazon and bought one because it's kinda slippery mine is from T mobile is darker as well and the finger print scanner is a little inconvenient on the back I do agree
Something you didn’t mention was it has 600 MHz were if your in a sturdy building with weak reception it can penetrate through the walls 4 times on top of that, it is one of the very few phones to have 5g capable something which Samsung Galaxy s8 or s8+ doesn’t have. Very disappointing though.
Sorry I was probably watching a video from a year ago :D Good to know they fixed it. So far mine hasn't done it. THANKS for the advice. It helped me make my decision.
@@seekingfitnesstipsandlaugh2126 Well, I've been super hesitant to buy a Samsung S8 Active purely because of the resetting bug, and I haven't read anywhere that people are still having that issue, the only known difference between S8 and S8 Active are the displays, but I have no idea what the heck the difference is, in a bad or good way
I wanted an active for years now that it's coming to tmobile I can finally get the phone I've longed for a phone that doesn't require an immediate case and tempered glass protector I hate cases but they are necessary for all glass phones it's just good to have a rugged option
I love the active series, I used the s5 and s6 active (s5 sold, s6 the second phone now) I'm using a moto z play for a while ( att mexico gave to me and its cool pure android experience and excellent battery Performance) I will get that s8 active next year (when it go to 450 dls jajaja)
Great video and comparison 👌been thinking on whether to get an S8+ or Active. It's just hard because I love the edge feature, but would want a better using and durable phone
I'd say get the S8 Active if you want a Samsung phone and have the money (but still, a screen protector wouldn't hurt, even if it looks durable). You can have everything you need on the homescreen and just press the home button to access it.
Slippy Toad...picked up my S8 Active two days ago...only added a tempered glass screen protector (unfirtunatrly no headphones which sucks), phone rocks though, best battery life I have seen, and it's a tank :) btw the gorilla glass 5 screen does have a plastic film on it for shatter resistance but is prone to scratching from what I have seen (hence the protector)
I got the s8 active for Christmas and I didn't get headphones...😞 But overall it's awesome .... btw we celebrate Christmas 1 day early cuz of mom and dad's work .....
I know you said it was an AT&T exclusive, though I thought maybe there would be a limited release in Canada, as well. From what I can tell though, it is not....nor does it look like it will be anytime soon. Canadians always get shafted :/
I picked up an active today from t mobile and it did come with headphones just as the s8 and s8+. I actually returned my s8+ for the active and got to keep both headphones! The + seemed way too fragile.
Few days later update - I'm liking the active way better than the S8+ so far. Feels better in the hand and I don't miss the curved screen at all. Best of all I'm not worried about my phone shattering constantly. My S8+ developed a small shallow hairline crack on the back bottom corner within 2 weeks without me even dropping the phone.
bgunit20 battery life has a lot of variables , and how the phone is set up also plays a big part imo in battery performance , depending on my use , i usually see getting close to 8 hours SOT on my S8+ even on medium heavy usage days , fairly often i see 10 hours SOT, and on occasion see12 hours with a few percent left , and this is all in performance mode . these new chips are very frugal to the earlier ones , non of my old phones hold a candle to the battery life of the new S8 with the same set up and usage , i would have bought the active if we could get them in my neck of the woods . .
I know I may sound crazy saying this, since most believe the S8+ best feature to be its infinity screen and sleek glass design -- but I've been weighing the pros and cons of an iPhone7 Plus vs Galaxy 8 Plus, (even though I jumped ship from Apple long ago) namely because I prefer the look of the iPhone. Having said that, this new S8 Active kind of gives the appearance of an iPhone.....kind of.....and which I like. I'll never understand why Samsung decided to create a glass back for the S8 and S8+. My HTC One M8 with its unibody design was easily the most rugged phone I've ever had. I dropped that thing more times than I can count (I'm not clumsy -- I just have 3 kids as well) and it never made a dent or scratch. It still looks flawless... (though it had other flaws, internally.) Maybe Samsung should take note.
I personally like it a lot better. It depends on your situation as far as being worth the upgrade. I returned my S8+ within the 2 week return period for the active and am very happy I did. I didn't feel confident the S8+ would last me for years. It felt extremely fragile. The active is quite the opposite. Plus the battery life is amazing.
Froilan Clod Reyes it's a _very_ durable phone: shatter proof, water resistant, etc. it also has a flat screen - and insane battery life, plus 64GB of memory.
The only thing that I like about the active is the bigger battery if the essay had a big battery like that I would need the rugged one just get an Otterbox and you're good to go
I like it quite a bit, I wish they would launch them in the spring with the other phones and amongst other carriers. I like the S8, but they are so brittle. My wife and have both had one pocket height drop and both of our phones broke! Thank goodness for insurance!!!
Jeff Springer Next year the s9 active should be launched alongside the 9 and 9+ on all carriers or unlocked as well. They're essentially cheating themselves out of the market a little. People (some) want a durable yet capable phone. But then people would want the active and active +. Lol
I ordered mine and got it on the 11th of August I been a Active user for a while since the Active 3. No complaints at the moment the battery life of my phone Awesome!👍🤓🖖
I'm cheap so my new phones are usually 2 versions behind the newest.

S8 active is still sweet before. It's kinda nice to not have the curved edge display too.

chocolate milk It's a 500mAh difference between S8+ and Active
@@jjake still makes alptnof different
Reasons to get this over the S8:
1) Flat display that's "shatter resistant".
2) Larger battery at 4,000mAh vs 3,000mAh on the S8.
3) "Rugged" build meaning no need for a case to add extra bulk to the device.
skymitch89 S8 acutally has a larger battery
ItsDarkNoVa Gaming Lol, no it doesn't. Look up the specs on gsm arena.
There's no headphones :(
excellent comment. thanks for the overview.... Its been a headache decidiing which to get. thanks
I do find people on eBay selling their S8 active for parts because of a shattered display, just saying.
I claimed my insurance for my s7 edge and they replaced me with a s8 active
I have s8+ but s8+ looks better tbh
@@ashiqueiqbal5669 there the both the same

Flat screen and battery = way better option. Get the active
the $
Even unlocked the active does NOT work on all bands and carriers as far as I can find. I am off to buy an s8 or s8 plus with a good case. Oh well...
If you're on a GSM carrier, this is an amazing current buy. Picked one up with a scratch free screen for $165 on Swappa.
the bixby button should be the active key as it was before and users should have the option to map it to bixby
yeah, I highly would prefer that too, but we knew Samsung couldn't resist the urge to put Bixby front and center again.
I got an s8 acitve too and i also got no headphones
I know, it's kinda ridiculous considering it's $100 more than S8+
Jeff Springer I never use those earphones lol
+McJagger Kakdemet that's not true, the S8 Active is $850 at AT&T, you can get a S8+ unlocked at regular price for $750, with full AT&T support.

What about speaker? There is any difference?
It's very similar, I'll do a more detailed listen but I couldn't notice much difference. Pretty much everything aside from build, display, and battery are the same.
Ok, thank you.
I got headphones with my active with tmobile
I received headphones thru T-Mobile.
The rubber pads on the corners of the s8 active are removeable and can be replaces. Very nice
Jeff Springer hi. Can u show some good case for s8 with delivery in Russia?)
How much does a s8 active sell at Walmart not on a plan
Jeff Thanks for the Review I was waiting for someone to do a review on the rugged one out of curiosity.I read a little on it but then again I read a little on all that have been coming out.Congrats on the New Home much Blessings.Always enjoy watching your reviews.Don't know how you find the time.Again appreciate it.I don't know if you are going to do one after having for a while or if you are returning but again Thanks for Review Deb.😉👍
Thanks Deb, I'll probably keep this phone for awhile!
Does it have fingerprint?
What is your ETA on the essential phone
they don't have one listed on my order...says "we'll email you when it ships"
Jeff Springer Hi jeff , just a question mate , i have noticed with my S8+ if i use a chunky case my S8+ wont make proper contact with the usb fitting in the dex station , I`m just wondering if the active will work with the dex station given its chunky dimensions ??
Cheers .
I have an active from T-Mobile and it came with great headphones. everything in my box was all black
hi....i'm from indonesia and i bought S8 active meteor gray couple months ago.....(its obviously used one from US)
and i loved it so much.....i played with it in first few days to root , debloat and upgraded it to android 9 pie at last.....
i wonder why samsung doesnt make active series successor after S8 active......i definitely would buy if there's S9 or S10 active series....
Sweet...i had the s6 active... never worried about the battery... still think it was the best looking out of the active line.
They definitely have tried to make the active line more attractive, but to me it's all about functionality really.
Nice review! Will the Active do wireless charging and Samsung Pay?
Yep, both of those are here. Pretty much everything is left untouched from original S8, aside from display, battery, and the build.
Jeff Springer Great! Thank you!
How’s the speaker on Samsung galaxy s8
Would it not have been nice if Samsung had made an S8 mini? Just the size of a Sony Z1C with all the same features and Amoled display capt at 1080p? I have to remind you that the Z1C has a 20mpx camera and i bought it second hand ($60) to have a great camera with an Android OS. You just carry it around like a compact camera. Uses far less energy without the SIM and has a great screen. An S8 mini would have blown this away.
I got this phone on Sunday. No headphones... I also didn't get get phones when I got the S6 active almost 2 years ago
I love my s8 active 😎
I have a S8 active and I love it the only thing they don't sell a cover so I went on Amazon and bought one because it's kinda slippery mine is from T mobile is darker as well and the finger print scanner is a little inconvenient on the back I do agree
Does it have a Sd card?
Something you didn’t mention was it has 600 MHz were if your in a sturdy building with weak reception it can penetrate through the walls 4 times on top of that, it is one of the very few phones to have 5g capable something which Samsung Galaxy s8 or s8+ doesn’t have. Very disappointing though.
Have you had trouble with S8 active freezing up and having to do a factory reset? THANK YOU!!!!
Wait, is your phone having that problem?? I heard that was an issue on a video from over a year ago
Sorry I was probably watching a video from a year ago :D Good to know they fixed it. So far mine hasn't done it. THANKS for the advice. It helped me make my decision.
@@seekingfitnesstipsandlaugh2126 Well, I've been super hesitant to buy a Samsung S8 Active purely because of the resetting bug, and I haven't read anywhere that people are still having that issue, the only known difference between S8 and S8 Active are the displays, but I have no idea what the heck the difference is, in a bad or good way
Got my S8 a week ago and it's great! Should do a review of the Pitaka case for S8
+Chrobin I'll look into it!
Samsung Galaxy S8 Active is now for sale at Sprint. Just saw it today.
What's infinity screen??
I wanted an active for years now that it's coming to tmobile I can finally get the phone I've longed for a phone that doesn't require an immediate case and tempered glass protector I hate cases but they are necessary for all glass phones it's just good to have a rugged option
I love the active series, I used the s5 and s6 active (s5 sold, s6 the second phone now) I'm using a moto z play for a while ( att mexico gave to me and its cool pure android experience and excellent battery Performance) I will get that s8 active next year (when it go to 450 dls jajaja)
If I buy a note 8 at&t unlocked version, Will I receive OTA Updates while using Metro Pcs?
Great video and comparison 👌been thinking on whether to get an S8+ or Active. It's just hard because I love the edge feature, but would want a better using and durable phone
+Connor Berry yeah the battery life is a big reason for me, 4000 mAh is awesome!
No HDR support for youtube?
Are you getting the essential phone?
+Orlando Biotechnology already ordered one Tuesday night!
Got the s8 active through sprint and it came with headphones
How much is the S8 active now?
~320 USD
Does the S8 active support wireless charging?
yup and fast 2
If you put the s8 and s8+ on power saving mode it can last 20 to 25 hours
I got the s8 active for Christmas and I didn't get headphones...😞 But overall it's awesome .... btw we celebrate Christmas 1 day early cuz of mom and dad's work .....
mines came with headphones i have sprint maybe thats why idk
Any word if this is available in Canada?
I was expecting a little bit better battery life on that thing, I consistently get between 5-6 hrs sot on my regular s8.
+bgunit20 well it's all relative I usually get 5 hours out of my S8+ with my usage so obviously you'd get more than 6 comfortably on this phone.
bgunit20 battery life has a lot of variables , and how the phone is set up also plays a big part imo in battery performance , depending on my use , i usually see getting close to 8 hours SOT on my S8+ even on medium heavy usage days , fairly often i see 10 hours SOT, and on occasion see12 hours with a few percent left , and this is all in performance mode .
these new chips are very frugal to the earlier ones , non of my old phones hold a candle to the battery life of the new S8 with the same set up and usage , i would have bought the active if we could get them in my neck of the woods .
(though it had other flaws, internally.)
Maybe Samsung should take note.
+Real Eyes I like the flat screen better myself
The glassback is so you can charge wirelessly... or so I was told
iPhone 8, iPhone X.
Glass backs
I had a m8 and it is actually the toughest phone ever, nearly unbreakable in every eay
I have the T-Mobile version and it comes with headphones so must be an att think!
I wonder if the s8 active for TMobile will come with headphones
It does, I recently picked up one.
Jake B Cool thanks for letting me know
Jake B How do you like it? I have the s8 and seeing if I should upgrafe
I have the s6 active and I get updates just like any normal galaxy. I look it up.
Does the active have wireless charging
m de Yes
Nice video man!
I think that's the best looking phone from the galaxy active line So far
No headphones nor SDcard???
Thanks for info 4,000 battery difference that's what I was wondering bigger better
Amount..cause one baterry samsung active 8
No headphones comes with the Active.. Sucks right
My phone came with decent headphones. The reason why this might have happened is because I bought my phone at Sprint and he bought his at AT&T.
S8 is better and have a edge screen
s8 active? what's new about it? It's my first time hearing it.
Froilan Clod Reyes it's a _very_ durable phone: shatter proof, water resistant, etc. it also has a flat screen - and insane battery life, plus 64GB of memory.
You got a new subscriber !
+Jonnathan Montes thank you! Much appreciated.
Jeff Springer yeah no problem. Keep up the great videos !!
The only thing that I like about the active is the bigger battery if the essay had a big battery like that I would need the rugged one just get an Otterbox and you're good to go
the S8 Active is now available with Sprint. Earbuds were in my box
I got headphones with mine, and i have the gold active also, love my phone
I like it quite a bit, I wish they would launch them in the spring with the other phones and amongst other carriers. I like the S8, but they are so brittle. My wife and have both had one pocket height drop and both of our phones broke! Thank goodness for insurance!!!
+giff74 yeah it would be nice to see it launch with the regular lineup!
Jeff Springer It would be great if they drop the AT&T exclusivity for the active line.
+R Stark I think they are going to do that this year, but it might be after Note 8 comes out
Jeff Springer Next year the s9 active should be launched alongside the 9 and 9+ on all carriers or unlocked as well. They're essentially cheating themselves out of the market a little. People (some) want a durable yet capable phone. But then people would want the active and active +. Lol
ive just watched another s8 active video no headphones in the box
yeah it sucks!
This is fucking bullshit. Go back to At&T and throw your phone at their store.
+Golden Duck good idea, let's see if it survives the throw through the window good test for the active label.
i got mine in TMobile head phone included
anna taz Ha Ha ha AT&T=headphone jackers lol
I got the active already dropped it a few times no worries!
Love the flat screen. Absolutely hate the edge 😔
Got mine from Sprint with nice anti tangle headphones.
Nice review. Thanks
I got my S8 active and it didn’t have headphones. ;(
We just got s8+ in the 1st day it was released
Pretty nice, but I haven't had any reasons to upgrade from my S5 Active (yet)!
Maybe 1 years later it's time? My brother is very happy with a S7+. And he's a heavy gamer. Very fast and capable.
You just got new sub
Yay!!
+Endo Life thank you! Much appreciated.
The s7 active never had headphones either
I buy my phones form samsung and i get every thing everyyime i bu it from my carrier i get no charging cable and heaphones
My s8 active did have headphones (T-Mobile)
I'm coo on s series I been having my s8+ day 1. I was bout 2 get s9+ but I'm waiting on note 9.
I have my galaxy s7 active and I didn’t get headphones
I have a S8 Active.. I found on an earlier video, they all come without headphones..
I would like to buy one samsung active 8 white one.. amout is gana cause. Me
Love everything about this phone but the only thing that bugs me is the bezel...other than that it's perfect 👌
+Jesse Marquez it does have a big bezel by today's standard for sure
No headphones in my 8active.
Yes its not that hard people, the active is by far the best phone u can get your hands on ...well if you can find a brand spankin new one in 2021!
I ordered mine and got it on the 11th of August I been a Active user for a while since the Active 3. No complaints at the moment the battery life of my phone Awesome!👍🤓🖖
