    This is a short video that showcases the overhauled camera for SM64. It supports more versatile movement than the original, will never get stuck, and has very easy to work with internals for developers to use PuppyCam in their own projects.
    This video was unlisted because it was a quickly through together video with zero production value. It's now public because I don't care that it has zero production value.

    Quick question, does it also emulate the same analogue movement when using a d-pad or c buttons? Also, love the little detail of Mario’s model fading out when the gets camera close enough, nice modern touch.

      Yeah, feels perfectly natural with C buttons, being that's what I designed it for. You can also double tap to quickly rotate the camera.

    Do you need two controllers/ have to map two controllers? Or could I map it to an existing controller's c-stick/ right thumb stick?

      Yeah you can map multiple player controller inputs to the same device, so just putting Player 2's joystick on the rightstick is all you need to do.

      @@RyoPotter It wouldn't be plug and play and you'd have to modify a lot of code to make it work anyway, but one of the things you'd also do is just make player 1's second stick player 3, and player 2's as player 4.

      Is there any reason why the C-Buttons aren't used? I assume because for analog functionality you need an analog input which doesn't exist for the C-Buttons, so a second control stick is used instead. Would it be possible to adapt Puppycam to the digital input of the C-Buttons?

    how can you go in look mode as in the original? Because you can't acess that sun secret level without looking at it

    What even happened with this? Did another project make it obsolete? Or was it just a matter of "This is extremely hard to pull off so we moved on" because if so, fair enough.

      Puppycamera is still maintained here at github.com/Reonu/HackerSM64
      I dropped PC support because it was far more trouble than it was worth, that being said, this repo github.com/AloXado320/sm64ex-alo supports multiplatform building and has Puppycamera 2.
