Thanks for the review! I totally agree with you on the wet clutch transition...the sound has suffered in my opinion. I recently took an Aprilia Tuono V1100 for a test ride and yesterday took the Ducati 1200S out for a spin. I'm a short rider (163cm around 5-ft 4 inch and 68kg in weight) so the adjustable seats on the Duke1200S is a bloody brilliant innovation / move by Ducati! Brilliant! Why other manufactures are not doing this is beyond me. The Aprilia Tuono was such a more responsive bike in all other areas...all expect the seat height...I was on tender hooks at the lights on the Tuono. The Duke handles great at slower speeds better than the Tuono. At high speeds they were very similar & I really couldn't tell the difference because I'm no MotoGP rider. Duke's throttle was much more compliant as well. The Tuono was like more sensitive and required greater discipline on by this rider. Ducati seem to be doing great work but if they'd allow some more torque it would be a bloody brilliant buy. Respect and ride safe.
+Gabriel Johannson I think they heard ya @ the Factory with that new Monster 1200R !!! & I concur with ur Opinion, and now I have to try a Tuono, since I like them very much, it has to be a wonderful experience !!! ;) thank you for the excellent commenting and ur view !!! have a nice weekend
+Gabriel Johannson This bike really was not meant to compete with the touno, s1000r, and super duke i believe. Even though its in the same class, it's a little bigger and roomier. Also it's not as capable cornering and has a little less power than any of those bikes horsepower wise. Seems a little more practical than those
To me, it seemed like every time I sat on the bigger bikes, the heavier it was & the harder it was to pull in the clutch. As much as I love some of those big bikes & their power, I just don't think I'd be in control. I must have weak muscles. But what a dream to have any one of those bikes. Just the name, Ducati, just makes my heart beat spike. Even when I was a kid, I was in love with these. I guess you've watched the documentaries on how these are made? So awesome. I think my two favs are the Scrambler and Multi.
WheelsNotHeels My bud that wasn't too impressed (in vid), had recently purchased a BMW GS1200 and have it lowered for his height & comfort...his biggest gripe was the 'top-heavy' feel he described v. the Beemer...& I could see that, and as you mentioned, they're a little more difficult to handle already... btw ~ I love you NEW Bike !!! ;) & I wish I had a chance to Ride the Scrambler !!! RSMF
CORE007 there is a lot going on, On the front of these...and it can feel a little top heavy, vs. the BMW GS 800/1200 design...the SkyHook Suspension is Superb...definitely not the 899 or Monster, tho, lol !!! ;) & thx for the Chest Mount comment...it was literally the first two times I ever used it...so I hope to get better with Aim & angles.
Thank you for watching and ur kind words ;) Congrats on getting the Bike !!! Yes, the dreaded Ducati false neutral ... Seems like the Old and New Ducati's ALL share that problem...but that engine makes it worth dealing with, lol !!!
Mickey Bauer Thx for watching !!! & I believe in this vid...they are Cycle Gear's own brand, Bilt. ;) Comment Anytime & thx for looking thru My Channel !!!

I´ve always wanted a Monster. There´s something sexy about those italian machines! Even though i hate the sound of the dry clutch :D
Biketimist no worries...all the new Bikes are Oil-bath clutches,
lol !!!
;)
it's a different sense of torque and sound fo sho !!!
Monster uses a wet slipper clutch
might even consider a monster then :D
Biketimist Older larger displacement monsters use dry clutch, but they have fully converted to wet-plate clutch now.
+Biketimist no more dry clutch
hmmmmm... not a fan... lol... Something about the front just seems off to me... I do like the new chest mount... :) Great viddy DD...
