The way I see it at the end, I think Tails is obviously piloting the Tornado. However, I think Knuckles isn't actually planning to fight the EXE on the wing. I think it's more in case he gets too close. And I think Sonic is singing as a distraction to buy time for Eggman to get to them.
I like it how this version of Confronting yourself has 3 endings The endings is depends on the misses you have: 0:best ending 1-19:cannon/good ending 20+:bad ending

i'm telling you one thing: sonic sprite artists, espescially the ones for fan games and mods are (mostly) very good at what they do. the part where sonic sings is the best in my oppinion.
