      If you’re a pensioner then you should have figured out a plan to have predictable INCOME, not growth. Income is what’s most important in retirement. If you’re stressed about whether or not to buy the dip in retirement then something has gone wrong.

      Strategy greatly depends on how much time you plan to be in the market. One person may be looking at a five year time horizon, another person at a 40 year time horizon. TH-camrs often give generic advice as if the same strategy can apply to everyone.

      @@red-baitingswine8816 You’re supposed to plan for income long before retirement. My father converted his 401k into a guaranteed income annuity. He has a pension from work. Thanks, Ken. Timing the market is difficult to impossible. However, buying the dip will work if one is investing instead of trading. TSLA is down almost 50% from its high. If you believe TSLA will never recover then buying the dip would be foolish. Personally, I believe TSLA will recover to see new highs. I just don't know when. Therefore, any purchases made at this time will eventually pay off. It just depends on how long one is willing to wait.

The point was concerning when to buy. I'm saying one could buy now and still expect to make a nice profit. The same goes for waiting a bit in hopes the stock goes down even more. I expect it will but there are no guarantees. Seems when you expect it to go down it does just the opposite. I'm all in so I won't be buying but if I were I would probably pick up some shares come Tuesday and hold the main buying for the coming weeks unless some big news or rumor starts to circulate. Anything under $700 is a bargain so unless Tesla flatlines we should see some nice profit within a year or so.

    I feel like it has to be said that if you have funds on the side and want to trickle in money and dollar cost average down in any positions, it is a worthy time. That said, it is a greater possibility the market will continue to go down, than it will rebound and go up from here, but nothing is for certain. I know I am placing small buys in funds that I can average down in, and won’t be touching for years to come. So I value this opportunity. And it’s great to see you in here again Ken!

    Most people don't understand the concept of " buying the dip " buying the dip is all about buying digital assets when their prices are down and selling off when the price rises just as the current market is down . Holding is profitable , although trading is far more profitable .I was able to grasp the knowledge of trading crypto assets early enough, but i was still limited due to my lack of technical understanding of how to analyse the digital market , all that changed when i encountered Erik Ming services., although i have been into numerous services but Erik Ming stands out with experience and expertise playing in his favor .I must confess it wasn't an easy task in learning the routes on trading but with the assistance of Erik, it was more easier to understand. It’s very important to educate yourself before you dive in.

    A $2T cut from peak will reduce the total assets of the federal reserve by 22%. The S&P500 is now down 23% from peak. As a rule of thumb, I say the market is priced in the expectation of it's condition in 18 months time and this has served me well in my investing career. I am a huge advocate for DCA but I did not add any funds to my portfolio since November. Last week I started to DCA again and will continue to weekly since my conviction of good returns is high. This is a good point, as the market is very efficient, pricing the future in. I still think it’s ideal to average in constantly, no matter the circumstance, at a consistent rate. No one can time the market perfectly, and just missing the best 5 days in the market can cost you a ton.

    • @ekapob.universe
      @ekapob.universe ปีที่แล้ว

      And isn’t this “timing the market”? I’m not sure what to do and just hold right now. If I have money I just buy because I don’t where the bottom is or was, and I don’t want to time the bottom. Any clarification on this? I’m still a donkey. Thanks a lot for all the insights 🙏❤️

    • @ekapob.universe

      What I do is I try to think and act probabilistically. For example, if I think there is 50% chance this is the bottom, I’ll deploy 50% of my cash. If I think this is 100% the bottom, I deploy 100%. If I think it’s 10% bottom, I deploy 10%. Hope you get the idea.
