G Scale Snowplow (wedge plow flatcar) 1-14-2018

- I woke up on a Sunday morning and realized it was snowing, which is not very common where I live. I decided I must make a snow plow for the railroad! It took several hours, but by early afternoon it was mounted to an LGB gondola and ready for testing. Thanks for watching.

I don't live in snow country, so forgive my ignorance. I take it the snow does not conduct electricity and this allows the locomotives to draw power from the rails. Am I correct?
You are correct, although I converted these to run on batteries. But many people use track power in the snow.

Fantastic JR! I think G scale is where you can get away with smoke looking almost real (ie. bloody great) and the size of speakers gets you real bass and presence . Also the weight of the cars gets you real momentum and a decent weight . Having self powered locos is definitely the go and takes away a million hassles! They sound and look great , especially with scale couplers!

You should definitely lubricate/cure the plow so the snow slides easily instead of getting stuck, it actually makes quite a big difference.

This is going to be one of the coolest things I have ever seen now that's playing with your toys in the snow that's the only bad thing about living where it doesn't snow a lot in the Deep South like in Texas four other Southern States but that's got to be one of the coolest things I have literally ever seen I would build one of these in a Northern State add the opportunity to do so

Now this is a perfect example of why Garden trains are the best no matter how old you are girl or boy this is what we all want.

Slick. May I suggest for future videos -- camera technique: lower, closer to the track. Make the locomotives seem huge and powerful rather than toys.
