- Hello, everyone! Today I'm doing a vlog in my "RWS vs" series. I like to sit down and compare a deck that’s based on Rider-Waite-Smith (RWS) against the Rider-Waite-Smith. I like to see where the images are the same and where they’re different. It’s typically something I do every time I get a deck that is based on Rider-Waite-Smith. This is a flip through and a bit of a review while I’m going through the deck and doing this comparison. I personally feel that "Before Tarot", "After Tarot" and "Tarot of New Vision" are all interconnected, providing 3 D view of RWS deck. Guidebooks with Deck Kits provide enough information about creator's perspective but while reading these decks intuition play very important role. It will be interesting to see if in future someone on youtube or site will take initiative to analyse these deck together to explain meaning what happened one moment before, whats happening, whats happening behind the scene and aftermath. Seems like a big project though, even if it happens how long video will be?

I WANT THAT DECK
Thank you for the comparison. I saw this deck in a video reading and was curious about it. It is indeed darker than I thought but I’m still adding it to my wish list. I especially liked that you clothed the nudity. I am thinking of doing that too but was wondering what would be the best way to (stickers, tape, marker pen, etc). I liked the way you did it with gold pen? I might do the same as it actually blends pretty well 😄
theevileveify l used the gold paint pen so it wasn’t obvious. It looks more like the deck came that way. This deck was way darker and deeper than I was expecting. I like it when decks surprise me. Thx fr watching! 🙏🏻✨💖
Hummingbird Tarot thanks for responding ❤️ Ordering a gold paint pen right now 😂 yes I wouldn’t have noticed at all if you didn’t mention it. Agreed. I am getting out of my comfort zone with tarot. I started only wanting non nudity, non dark decks but I soon realize some decks are just so great despite the nudity (which I now have a solution to) and the “darkness”. For example the Lo Scarabeo deck, I was really pondering it coz I love all the cards except the 6 of cups (now I can clothe her) and the queen/king of swords (what’s with the heads). I got it anyway and loved it
Those paint pens can leak a lot so practice on the info cards that come with the deck to get the paint flowing. I also let the paint dry overnight. It’s usually oil based so it takes longer to dry. Glad you’re branching out. There are some gorgeous decks out there with nudity that u can now feel comfortable getting. Have fun!
