“Awesome?” As in “inspiring awe”? I saw some nice landings, a lot of wanna-be nice landings, and a few semi-controlled crash landings…. Keep practicing, all! And do your best to NOT over control near and on the ground, then CONTINUE TO FLY the aircraft until it is PARKED.
I don't know ! Maybe ! It's just me but wich is it ? Too windy and they are coming too fast . Because a strong nouse wind ? Or what those landings are horrible
Sorry but these landings are not awesome. Most of them are bouncers, and they obviously dont know use their rudders after landing. If your aircraft starts bouncing the best thing to do is hold the nose up slightly and let it sink and get rid of the energy. NEVER push the nose down when it bounces
crap - you push the nose down quickly to gain speed, depends on the model and its wing design, some models (warbirds possibly)would instantly tip stall if you pulled back on the stick and raised the nose, others (high wing cabin cruisers) might just flare out or mush onto the deck depending on the height - so it depends on the aircraft wing type hendrik !
tbobborap1 i think you need to read up on aerodynamics. Pushing the nose forward will decrease your angle of attack an immediately decrease your lift, usually slamming the nose into the ground and causing a porpoising movement like you see in some of these videos. Keeping the wing at the same angle in ground effect is the best you can do. Flight schools have been teaching this for years and pilots on full size aircraft all know this, but hey, what do we know..
i take it you don't or never have flown rc hendrick, ive flown rc since 1983 and that's what i do and its always worked ! like i said different models need different techniques - try flying rc sometime - but hey what do i know !
tbobborap1 my but you are a rude person. I have flown rc since I am 12 yrs old - 32 years, and yes wings are different but aerodynamics stays the same whether the airplane is small or large. I am talking not of pulling up the nose, but rather maintaining the attitude to keep the lift, one can even add slight throttle to re-energize the wing and prevent a tip stall. I have flown small and large models, I have many hours on full size aircraft (including airliners) and am a qualified flight instructor, I am just trying to give the guys some understanding on what the right thing is to. A private pilot with 40 hours would know you dont put the nose down on a bounce or you get a propstrike
Looks like a lot of these fliers need to practice touch and go landings.
Those were mostly horrible landings?
Brandon Durham .... exactly
People reduce the throttle too much and stall it....
Their fragile lil planes will fly another day. Nothing horrible about that. All my landings are awesome that dont require work after.
@@Smt_Glaive but that's how you should do it. It's called flaring.
Great video work. A great opportunity to learn. Thank you!
thanks annan
what was that little guy at 3:57 ?
shes called a bede-8 or bd8 - check her out here andy - th-cam.com/video/76d3dap68J8/w-d-xo.html

Awesome planes!
thanks earl
I’m not gonna say anything bad or negative because I’m far from being the best, but at least these all came down in one piece

So, anything fewer than 10 bounces and a wing-scraping ground loop is an Awesome Landing?? Check.
i have my first fly next week lol
Some very well executed landings and some really ugly.
Awesome do mean Awesomely bad more like .who was flying Skippy the bush kangaroo .
There was a few good landing rest were very average .
So where are the awesome landings? I only saw terrible landings
Lindos aviones, que pena de pilotos
Controlled landing or decaying ...gitta fly to the ground..nit stall it in.
Shame to see beautiful planes stop flying before there on the ground.
Those are not even good in terms of landing.
So by awesome you meant not so awesome.
most of these morons dont understand irony. the clue is in the title

i think you might need to see a therapist Hendrik !
