Update: still works as of the Armadillo Update, 1.20.81
You have to be alone, with no other players rendering any chunks that contain any of your dropped items.
i recommend going 300-400 blocks away from any players just to be safe, so that your simulation distances dont overlap. i made it work even with players on the realm.

Can’t get it to work on pe, every time I select the item and then exit the inventory nothing happens

It is so much more consistent in the nether. If it isnt working for you, try in the nether
Probably true because on multi player if the blocks are rendered on different peoples it won’t work
god this reminds me of the og dupes only the dogs remember the shovel furnace dupe

if you are on ps4 2.87 and on a realm do it in the nether bc that is where it only works for me

This works for mobile guys, you just need to put the item at the crafting thing then escape fast

It works on realms too, but only if there is no other player online

Its not working in a realm, I am getting the first two steps done and rejoining the game but when I rejoin the item that was picked up is on the floor again and the stack of items is where it usually is.

You should wait 2-3 mins before rejoining
Do you have to be the only player in the realm?
There can be other players on the realm but you hae to be out far away from those players, so the chunk in which you are performing this glitch doesnt stay loaded
Can i dupe without have a full stack ? Example 1 then 2 then 4 .... i want to dupe golden apples , but only have 4 for now
nope i tried. it just picks the item up
The reason this works is because of the full stack. Without it being able to naturally pick it up, that keeps it from just adding it to the full stack and makes the game bug out after you leave the world as it remembers you had a full stack in your inventory, but also in your held item and that's why it dupes the stack.
Can I dupe it if the 1st item is renamed and the other 1 is normal

It takes a lot of try’s to get took me about 10 but that could be because I’m on switch

Yes
Trade enough crops with farm villagers to get a stack and plus one emeralds then dupe the emeralds to trade with clerics they sell bottles of xp. It will go a lot faster the more brewing stands you can place down to make more of the villager that sells it

@@kfv4 I was just standing next to a nether portal just in case, and it seemed to work just fine without going through it.
Maybe that’s just me I don’t know. Also quick tip. Once you get a little over nine stacks of whatever you’re duplicating. Turn them into blocks and duplicate those with the same method.

Does it work on mobile??
Unfortunately, without something like a controller, or a keyboard attachment, it's pretty much impossible on mobile. If you DO have a keyboard, and not a keypad, yes that is important, then you could do it since timing is the most important part of this dupe method. Controllers would work, but you pretty much need to be frame perfect on the button presses, so good luck. Otherwise, no luck for us mobile players.

By getting a pc or console and downloading Minecraft, then perform the glitch.

You could go to a friends house (sorry for assuming you have friends) then connect their controller to you phone using Bluetooth then you can pull off the dupe. If you don’t have a friend with a controller or even if you don’t have a friend you could theoretically use your fingers but it would be hard. Hope this helps!
