"No one loves my kids...and wants them to grow in Christ more than me." Well said.

I really find what you said about homeschooling not just being between a time limit but it being a lifestyle, so important!! I get caught up in the public school mind set and forget to just live and explore what WE want to and not what others may say we should. Thanks again for so much wisdom! You have been a wonderful influencer in my homeschool journey!! ❤️

“God wants us to disciple our children and He will equip us.” This is what I most needed to hear. Thank you.

I know this video is old but I really appreciated your view and example on mothers teaching their children. The reminder that we are equipped, love them the most and have freedom in the way we teach them is something I always need to remind myself. When I worked I was used to teaching the young but mostly adults. When it comes to my own child I think, how am I going to teach him everything from square one! But I feel God gave you a gift to positively encourage us especially because you always remind us to look to Him for strength.

You. Are. Awesome. I love to hear your voice. I hear a sweet sister in Christ and see a daughter of a King. When God was designing you and knitting you together...I imagine as he placed each strand of hair on your head he thought to himself exactly how he wanted you to sound and he then created that voice of yours that carries gentle words of encouragement for all to hear.
Don’t ever let the darkness snuff your light. You have a gift you are sharing and the enemy will stop at nothing to silence you. This time where so many are moving to homeschooling you will be under attack from all of his schemes. SCHEMES. He is not above utilizing trolls in his attacks. And trolls are not above submitting to their desires.
THANK YOU. Thank you for all that you do and you continue to do. Truly. Thank you. ❤️

Great video...I have learned that when the child resist/ acts out...they are not understanding...they’re scared,frustrated...can’t use words at that time so they are “showing us”...mamas need to take a DEEP breath,NOT react....both regroup and come back together and say” I hear you don’t understand....”...pray together and open with prayer...and remember this is just a season....

Such wise advice, thank you for continuing to encourage other homeschool mamas. Thank you for always pointing us back to the Word with your advice. I def agree with outsourcing so that you can give your kids the confidence they need to be successful. I can’t imagine dealing with some of the things you deal with sharing your life but I just want to encourage you that you are making such a difference in so many homeschooling families lives. Love your heart❤️

❤️ as always. My biggest obstacle is day to day interruptions. Being a stay at home Mom often gives the impression to your amazing people that your always available. 🥴😃

Thank you for this episode. This really revealed some hurts that have been blocking me doing homeschooling this year even though I have been trying to do homeschooling it has been incredibly difficult. God used this to show me why I have been so down and out. Thank you for letting God led you to doing this because I seriously want to hug you and thank you for the bottom of my heart. I have been so discouraged since March trying to get into a groove with homeschooling and something happens and it takes me a bit to recover thankfully my kids are only almost 4 and 5 so we have time. This was what I needed to hear today because it has been a very hard day emotionally.

We are new to homeschooling. And would watch to learn. She was an amazing mom and even better grandmother. She supported me and encouraged me to homeschool, even if others doubted I can do this on my own. My mom never left my side. On Saturday I held her till she took her last breath. We loved your channel thank you. Mom and I loved learning from you and had lots of open conversations. Thank you for what you do.

Man this was right on! I've been homeschooling for 10 years and this definitely is wise advice. Infact I've been having trouble with my 3rd grader and been trying to problem solve the issue. It seems she just has it stuck in her head that she's not going to enjoy herself. Everytime we just get started she's fine and breezes through. I just keep reiterating that it wasn't like what she thought it was going to be and to try to remember that. And with math (which she hates) I have math chocolate (any chocolate of choice) for those days I can tell are harder. That has helped a lot too.

Thank you for sharing! You are such an encouragement to all of us! We are in the season where we are about to move to our new home/farm, so a lot of “life schooling” will be happening for the next few weeks as we get through this transition, and that’s ok! Like you said in this video, there is so much to be learned from every day experiences! ❤️

Girl, I’ve been traditionally homeschooling for three years and I just now feel like I’m doing a good job and I got my crap together (sort of). My clicking moment was that I don’t have to stick to one curriculum company.

My kids HATE homeschool (1st year for 2 of them, 2nd year for 1: current grades 9, 7, 3) and desperately want to go back to public. It's wearing on my spirit and enthusiasm. I work full time from home, so it's even more difficult to press into it. I assured them that I have logged their complaints, and that it's not acceptable to use it as a weapon against the decision we've made as their parents. My 9th grader (2nd year of homeschool) believes we're depriving him of the best years of his life, which I know isn't practically true, but it's true for him in the moment. Feeling tired, but committed.

Thanks Ashlee! Definitely a great video as a newbie. I am experiencing frustration and curriculum burnout. I am trying to take a step back and stop trying to push the kids as much as I do. As a type A overachiever it is difficult to do! And do to our lockdown status in our state we are extremely isolated which I think makes it all that much harder.

Idk if it was pregnancy/postpartum hormones/sleep deprivation or what, but last year was such a hard homeschool year for me. I was overwhelmed about everything. This year I’m way more level headed and I’m able to enjoy it a lot more.

I think the most common obstacle that you didn’t go over is keeping up with housework. We don’t have any extra curricular activities, no outside commitments (other than church), my oldest is 7 & youngest is 2 & I just CANNOT do school, do normal, daily chores (dishes, laundry, tidy), cleaning chores (like mopping, bathrooms), deal with toys, make sure the kids pick up/clean up...it’s just so impossible. It’s like I basically choose one thing a day...are we doing school? Or am I going to make them clean their rooms? Every time I get it halfway decent to my standard (which isn’t very high) & get us into a routine of upkeep instead of catching up, something happens & we are all out of whack again. Despair. That sums up the obstacle I think is very common...complete & utter despair.

Totally agree, that's my issue too! I have a 5 yr old and a one year old and one on the way (due May). I'm a tired mama! We just don't get to everything everyday and I try to give myself a little grace (I guess I need a lot of it haha).

Thank you, you just made me feel so much better!! I feel this year has been so much easier thanks to the good and the beautiful!! My daughters are using the good and the beautiful math3 and I was wondering if you make sure they understand the mental math things because my girls struggle and they just want to answer the problems and be done. They know most of their math facts because of the musical multiplication so I guess I’m trying to ask you if I should push them to understand those math strategies if they can do it already? I hope that makes sense this really is the only problem we’ve had for tears and not wanting to do math. ❤️😊

My kids have been homeschooled forever, I have 1, 3, and 5 th graders. They still say all those things about school. What do I do? Why do they hate school? They'd rather play outside than sit inside doing math or whatever. They just don't like any school I've tried so I just tell them too bad they have to do it anyway. 😭

How do you deal with homeschool MOM burnout? We started in January and do only 4 day weeks, but we have taken so much time off that my kids will only be 3/4 of the way through their curriculum before we “end” our school year the week before Christmas😫😫 Do you ever have days where you just do not have the energy to school or you get started and the kids are just so disruptive and misbehaved that you give up on the day? It’s my first year and I feel so defeated about not finishing on time this year😢😢

So I have a question that goes along with this. I am a first time homeschooling mama that started in August. We hit a big trial this month with the sudden hospice care and passing of my 60 year old mother. I am a big time planner and want to do all the fun stuff but now I feel so far behind. What was the biggest trial that hit you why homeschooling that took immediate time for weeks and how did you over come it? Also any tips on hope to get back on track we tried school today but it was so hard and only got a little done. Thanks

I've homeschooled for 9 years. ❣️ Life happens. I've experienced a NICU baby for 6 weeks, 40 week stillborn all during "school years"... sometimes, homeschool looks different than other times and that's okay.
