They say Trouba this Trouba that , he's a leader he crushes his opponents if a player is inconsistent he is not helping the team and a captain and leader defends his players and goes after players that try and bully. Lindgren has done more than Trouba and we have seen this.
I love lindgren but I’m not sure if it’s a good idea to sign him for any more than 2-3 years considering the wear and tear he has on his body. Even though he’s young he’s had a lot of injury’s and I whether he would be healthy for that long of a contract is definitely something to consider.

It'll be teams that are in major cities that he'd be willing to go to, so his wife can work in a hospital within said major city. That's why he wanted out of Winnipeg.
Remember Neil Pionk? That’s the defenseman we traded to the Jets for this overrated overpaid supposed defenseman. He’s thriving in Winnipeg and making this trade one of the very worst for the Rangers. For whatever reason, the Rangers were obsessed with getting him. Well now we got him and we’re paying the price, not to mention financially as well. Hey maybe Winnipeg might swap him for Pionk straight up but I doubt it. They’re more than happy with Pionk. Oh well we let another one get away. I was also surprised the coach didn’t play Zac Jones in the playoffs. I was really hoping we could get Joel Quennville as our coach but he still has to reapply to get back in the league. If we could have gotten him as our coach I would have guaranteed a finals appearance. He coached the Panthers to their first playoff appearance in 4 years back in the Covid shortened season and was 7-0 the following year before he resigned.
I never liked the trade that brought him to NYR... and HATED the contract he signed for this exact reason as I did not feel he was worth the money and for the first few seasons I would say he was NOT worth it he was one of the worst Dmen on the team.. but NOW.. he FINALLY is being of value .. he is FEARED across the NHL for his hits people have a head up when he is on the ice.. and he is earning that money.. sure this whole injury in the playoffs was not great but doing this now is silly as no one in the franchise can be what he is. I know you are thinking play-off window and such but now these last final two years moving him unless you are bringing in something or Schneider or Lindgren are going to step up and be the heard hitter they can .... this will be a backfire the Rangers getting LESS tough is not the step you want to make.. again I get the money .. but this team is a healthy run away from a cup ..if Fox and Trouba were healthier I think this is a different year. and guys like Kane and Guentzal are not the players to push this team over the hump.. The Islanders could not do it.. and they added Butch Goring and some kids and then they won 4 cups they did not trade heir captain... which is a worrying trend Callaghan ... McDonagh... ..Trouba... the C is for SEE you later clearly
Trouba should be moved for sure. Lindgren has great heart but he can’t hold up physically. May as well move Jones in to his spot, as jones can move the puck better.
San Jose could take his contract if they aren't on his no-trade list. Grier and Drury are buddies and San Jose could even get something like Kakko as a sweetener.
Money wise makes sense hockey wise no a better trade is breadman for Marner change of scenery for both because come playoffs they both disappear that is the gripe of both fan bases.
While I hope this report is true. I highly doubt it, Trouba has basically zero value as a defensemen in the league. So I'd take a 3rd or 4th round pick and a mid level defensive prospect for Trouba at this point. The best bet to trade him would be part of a packaged deal that could involve Kakko or Jones.
get over the poor D this past post season. His style is sought after and valued. He is a leader despite what fans think. He is a great locker room guy to. 8 million is high, but it is only for 2 more years, that has value as well.

We won’t win the cup with a bottom defenseman who makes 8 mil a year. Moving Trouba should be at the top of the list. Get rid of him at all cost.

Regarding Lindgren...Don Shula used to say you need one or two guys in your lineup that give your team "toughness"...that's Lindgren.
