      if you want to carry it hiding in plain sight, buy a mole pouch about $4 on ebay. the one with 2 zippers. you can carry a cellphone on the outer pocket and a g26 on the inner one. NOBODY even notices it. just one advice. have the belt straps reinforced by shoe repair stitching. they come in different colors. buy 2 or more. they are really inexpensive and get dirty after a couple of years of use. just throw away and use a new one.

    Sorry for my english, fellow american people, I'm french, and I'm a shooter in a club, and self defense trained (got a first aid training also), here in France we have absolutely no right to carry a gun (as a civilian), but criminality is getting higher year after year, so women are sometimes raped, mugged, hit without any serious mean to defend themselves.
    When I see such a video, I think to myself "oh my god, this wouldn't happen if people could have something efficient to defend themselves against an attack", personnaly, I could do pretty much nothing (let's be realist and honest) if a terrorist knife attack/shooting (for exemple) happens in the street in front of me.
    No need for an AR 15 or a machine gun, just a single compact pistol for one person would make the job. A few days ago 5 people were killed in an attack on a Christmas market, in Strasbourg (Eastern France) by an islamist.
    Many dramatic stories wouldn't have happened, if the victims have had a gun. In some places in big cities (like in some suburbs around Paris), criminals make the law, and where I live, it takes between 20 to 30 minutes for police to come (rural area) when you call for help. I do advocate civilian concealed carry in France because of all that, we are more and more here...
    hope it will change one day :-(((

      I hope it changes for you one day. I never want to use it, but I want the option to protect myself if needed. Stay safe!

    • @Jeromealdebaran
      @Jeromealdebaran 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It is the real interest of the legal gun carry : having the option to protect oneself, the mindset and hability to do so if needed, concealed carry is a crime deterrent.

      jérôme Lacambrousse AR-15s and other military style weapons are more effective for killing criminals. I carry a pistol in public to defend myself because I can easily conceal it. It’s like it’s not there to the rest of the world until you need it. My defensive and protective mindset doesn’t stop when I get home. That’s where the military style weapons come into play. I’d much rather have a high capacity, full power rifle to protect my home and family from an intruder in the middle of the night, than a concealed carry pistol. This is especially a reality if you live in a rural area where you may have 2 or 4 legged offenders that need to be dealt with and backup or emergency services is over 30 minutes away. In our country we have a God given right to defend ourselves and our property, and guns are the ultimate equalizer.

    • @venomx4093
      @venomx4093 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jerome, just because we have guns and can carry guns doesn't make us victimless, it does create a sense of security. With so many legally armed American's, murder, rape, etc still happen. A few days ago, a disgruntled employee shot and killed 12 coworkers and had a long battle with the police. With that said, going armed atleast gives you a fighting chance........ if you're willing to use the weapon.

      I love my G26 but there are way better options for a primary home defense gun. If all I can grab is my G26, then yeah it would work fine for home defense. Its much better suited for conceal carry though or as a car backup. Id much rather use a suppressed PCC, a G20 or G19x for home defense. Suppressed pistol caliber carbine would be the ideal choice (or even a 300blk suppressed with subs)

    I carry a G26 gen 4 with 11 rounds using a MIC holster (AIWB) and an extra G17 mag in a Glock mag holder on my Aegis Enhanced belt. I use Federal HSTs, 124 gr. I also carry an MK-2 size can of Sabre pepper gel as my less-than-lethal force multiplier. I carry this way every day, all-year-round. Feels real good.

  • @zackiinu7194
    @zackiinu7194 6 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    Very good video. Thanks! I carry my G26 in my front pocket in an Alabama pocket holster all-year-round. I love how I can be anywhere whilst sticking my hand in my pocket and having a full grip on my g26 and nobody even knows. And I like having the gun right in front of me where I can defend it best, as opposed to carrying it at the 3, 4, 5, or 6 o’clock position. Most people think the g26 is too thick and heavy for pocket carry but it’s not. You get used to it right away. Printing is minimal with the Alabama holster and with wearing the right shorts or pants. The Alabama pocket holster, which is made of Kydex, keeps the trigger completely and securely covered, so it’s a very safe way to pocket carry. And once you realize the advantage of not being noticed as you have your hand gripping your gun ready to draw you will be convinced that this is the most effective way to carry. I would not recommend carrying a single stack or any caliber smaller than a 9mm. I also carry an extra g19 mag on my belt and a can of Sabre pepper gel in my other pocket. Should I ever need to use less-than-lethal force, I have that option of pepper gel and I can keep my distance from the attacker by using the pepper gel.

After trying numerous holsters and positions to carry, I found this method and holster to be what works best and is safest for me. The only modification I made was to have the slide milled for an RMR (the eyes are not what they used to be). Regardless of how you carry, if it’s a G26 you can’t go wrong.

    Great video. I have 16 guns that I would consider ccw guns and I carry my G26 about 90% of the time. It's definitely not as easy to carry as smaller guns like the Hellcat or 365 but I personally shoot the G26 so much better than smaller guns.

    • @jackmemphis777
      @jackmemphis777 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The G26 seems to be the best shooting sub-compact for sure. It is very controllable for how small it is. I think this is due to the wide grip and increased weight over other sub-compacts. I shoot the G26 way better than the G43 or G48. There is a less snap with the G26 and it doesnt have much more recoil than a G19 or G19x. When comparing to the P365 or the Hellcat, the G26 is wider and has 2-4 more ounces of weight for recoil mitigation (depending on if its loaded or not, so the last bullet in the mag will have slightly more recoil), plus having lots of mag options. The P365xl on the other hand is the same weight as the G26 when loaded, so has the same recoil energy. Most of my experience is with Glocks and thats what I stick with for many reasons, such as the double stack frame allowing for a good grip, they are reliable, and allow for magazine interchangeability with each other and my PCC

      Well, unfortunately I bought a Glock 21, Glock 30, Glock 23, Glock 26, Glock 42, and a Glock43 (among many, many other brands).
      I wanted to save on money at the range & in general life so (IMO) folks should do what I did:
      1st choose one (1) caliber
      2nd choose one (1) gun in that caliber
      3rd practice, practice, & practice with that single pistol or revolver set-up
      I chose for CCW the Glock 43 over all others *even my beloved Glock 26* due to:
      - ease of carry
      - better concealment
      - great accuracy!!
      - great reliability (after I found the ammo it liked)
      This is the same wisdom of the "Fear the man with only one gun" ideology.
      Think about this & stay frosty.
      Note: for the home defense role I use a 12 gauge shotgun. works on bear & humans.

It's been a few weeks and I haven't shot it yet, but the extra thickness just fits my hands so much better. The Glock 26 isn't as slim as the 43, but it's still a tiny pistol. I don't even own a larger double stack Glock, but the mags and grip sleeve for the Glock 19 and Glock 17 mags are pretty affordable and compatible with my Glock 26.

    I shoot the 26 like a full size. Added a striker decocker gadget, defoor combat metal sights, some stipple, a trigger cut so I don't get as much Glock knuckle, and G17 trimmed down Hogue grip, and beavertail. For a small gun I shoot this amazingly well. Micro 9's are too thin.

      Old comment, but just want to say that there are folks who have made grandmaster in USPSA with a Glock 26. It's definitely competition-worthy in the right division.

    Love my Glock 26. Give you the best of every world. Super small and concealable, but you can still use any capacity glock 9mm magazines. You can’t make a large gun smaller, but you can make a smaller gun larger if you want.

      Same but i got a 45 which is just a gen 5 19x thats black not tan the 26 is the edc pry the best and easiest to use gun of its size and the 19x/45 is the gun id use if shit hit the fan if the military uses em u know theyre good enough for the normal person my goal tho is to one day have every size glock 9mm they make idc about the gen ive shot every gen but the 1st all are great the main difference i usually notice is always the triggers and if it has the finger groves or not i prefer em without bc its faster to just grab and shoot fast u dont gotta get ur fingers into position even tho the groves are comfy imo just not the best or something id want if my life was on the line id want my 45 for sure just bc you got that max capacity and room for better purchase on the grip and a more compact barrel and slide thats not snappy at all but thats the good about the 26 its 9mm so its super controllable unlike the .40 cal and imo i like 9 better its faster yea .40 is bigger but statistically they kill with the same number of rounds almost always and u get more rounds for cheaper in a 9 with less recoil which means better accuracy follow up shots and theyre still dead especially with todays technology 9 and 40 are a lot closer now than 30 years ago when everyone carried 40,45 or 357 now most people carry 9 and 40 from what ive seen

    Couldn't agree more, I searched for a while.. and ended up at the same conclusion, The 26 is the Jack of all Trades there are few that come close and with its ability to also throw the 17 rd clip in it quickly becomes a full grip combat capacity pistol. Not as great at range as say a 17 or 34 but it can be extremely accurate at distance in the proper hands. Great review certainly glad I came to the same conclusion +Jay Becerich

    We’re about the same size. No wonder I like the 26 so much. Sold my 19 and got a 26, if the 26 had a rail option this would be the perfect gun. I only like the rails for aesthetics really. How does a 43x/48 feel and shoot for you?

  • @ncbible1575
    @ncbible1575 6 ปีที่แล้ว +11

    The 26 is the only gun you need. I carry my every day and when it is time to retire in the evening the 17 round goes in on the nightstand. I shoot this better than the 19 - I believe it is the hump on the 19 for me. This gun just plain runs.

      Go with the Glock

    • @WretchedPlebe
      @WretchedPlebe 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have both. And quite simply, the FNS-9c is a much better weapon out of the box. SIghts, ergo and standard capacity magazine, and non-altered stippling are better. Plus you can pick up a new one for $499 plus tax...which is what I paid for mine. Shoots great. In other words one doesn't need to give it the spa treatment to get it to the next level. There is no denying that the G26 is a good-enough pistol. But it does not excel.

    • @chrisanyone953
      @chrisanyone953 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Matt K I disagree, all glock models excel in everything. If your inaccurate with it you need to practice more. But for carry and it boils down to opinion and what suits you best.

    • @WretchedPlebe
      @WretchedPlebe 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Anyone, I said nothing about being inaccurate. That would be a shooter problem, not a gun problem. You absolutely did not address anything I typed about the ergonomics, standard capacity, sights, or stippling out of the box. Focus cupcake.

      I’m 6’3 and 250. The glock 26 is a brick in your pocket. Ruger lcp ii is perfect...less than 1/2 the weight, way smaller, good trigger, and reliable. Oh, and it disappears in my pocket. Definitely fits the role of concealed carry better than chopped down service pistols!
