Hey Monkeyfamily! What did you think of the custom Hammer-Hunter? Do you think he looks cool? Who was yoyr favorite bounty hunter? Let me know in the commenrs below! Thanks for watching amd have a terrific week! 👍🐵
Nice Bounty of Bossks! If I recall from my RPG days Trandoshans were from the same system as Wookies and were sworn rivals. But that was many years before Lucas or Disney messed with SW. There was a good short story for "Hammerhead" in 'Tales from Mos Eisley Cantina' book. Nice detailed look at the figures.
Thanks man, I thought this would make an interesting little video. When I saw the custom on eBay I knew I had to have it, and it's been done very well. Interesting to learn that Chewie and Bossk would've hated each other! Cheers for watching dude, have an excited squeal of a week! 👍🐵
Nice one Monkeyboy. I honestly thought you'd 'cut and pasted' Bossks and Hammerhead together! My brother in law has gotten into customs such as this. He has done quite a few.
Thanks Dez! Yup I thought it was a cool custom figure and I do like the idea of a peaceful Ithorian being a ruthless bounty hunter! I think this is the only custom figure I own, apart from Stick-Face who you may or may not have seen on the channel on occasion. Thanks for watching and commenting dude, I appreciate your interest and support! Have a groovy week sir 👍🐵
Good haul this week Monkeyboy! I remember both these guys fondly as I had each version of them you presented! I have to admit that the "Hammer-Bossk" mashup is an interesting find and very nice to look at. Anyway, I hope to catch the round of hauls next week!
Thanks Alex! Yeah, Hammer-Bossk is a cool customer. Am I alone in thinking that the vintage Bossk looks very friendly? I gotta say I prefer the look of the POTF2 version. I'm sure I would get booed out of any Star Wars gathering with that opinion. I do love the vintage one too, but he's just a bit too cuddly-looking. Thanks for watching and commenting dude, I appreciate your time and interest! Have a groovy week 👍🐵
@@MonkeyboysToys Oh no I agree with you about the original Bossk. Because of his "tame" look, I never really used him as a bounty hunter, and when I did, he was always shadowing Boba Fett and I'd pretend that he was mentally more like Whiplash only far more simple (no offense to Whiplash of course🦎). Interesting sidenote, as far as I remember, you could send away for him first via proofs of purchase, which is how I scored him (I actually got several Star Wars figures, and a few GI Joes this way, too!).
@@alexjames7670 oh, cool! I didn't realise he was a mail-away figure to begin with. I remember sending away for the Emperor and Nien Nunb, it felt like I waited forever for them to arrive! Thanks again for watching my videos dude 🙏🙏🐵
@@MonkeyboysToys Oh yes I remember how they took anywhere between a year to a thousand years to arrive via snail mail! I also got Nien Nunb and the Emperor the same way! I think I got Leia as Boushh this way too, and I got the Anakin Skywalker figure via mail also. His was not a blue chunk of semi-translucent plastic but rather a regular figure in grey and white robes. Because of this I often used him in a "what if" scenario where he was actually not Vader, as Obi-Wan led Luke to originally believe. As always, enjoy your week my friend!👍🐒
The Bossk POTF2 figure is definitely one of the best figures in that line. Why on earth they decided to turn all the humanoids into muscle-bound morons, we shall never know. (Actually, we do. Apparently they thought "super hero" figures were the way forward, so made everyone look like He-Man.)
Indeed. It doesn't work for all the POTF2 figures, but it does work well for Bossk, and the custom figure does look pretty nifty. Thanks for watching dude! Have a groovy week! 👍🐵
Is the Black Series Archive reissue expensive now? I'm sure that's much cheaper than the version with the blue line box. Still gonna be pricey of course.
Nice pick ups, hammering the Bossk! Well I never thought I’d say it but those POF2 figures look great and are actually better than the original vintage figures. Nice custom job too, I’d call him Terry, just to annoy him 🤪😂
Interesting monkey boy, certainly some info I didn’t know on the species of these figures. Can’t go wrong with classic Bossk though, but the POTF2 version looks really good, and the custom hammer head bounty hunter really works! Great pick ups sir 👍
Thanks Luke, I'm happy that you found it interesting. The idea of Ithorians as bounty hunters was something I found intriguing so I thought others might enjoy it too. Thank you for watching dude, hope the rest of your week is groovy! 🙏🐵
Bossk is a really good PoTF2 figure. Very detailed. I've always liked this character so not sure why I never got him. My collecting habits were quite erratic in the 1990s though! Have a good weekend. 👍 PS Have you ever seen a short Spanish film called The Phone Box? I think its original title is La Cabina, but not sure. Straight out of the Twilight Zone!
Yes, I do think the Bossk character does benefit from the more dynamic and muscular POTF2 sculpt. Still love the original one though, obviously. I will check out the short film you mention thanks! Cheers for watching, Stephen! 👍🐵
Nice pick ups. 👍🏻. I do like that custom, but I have one question. Were the limbs simply popped off and reattached, or was there some cutting and gluing involved?
There must've been cutting and gluing. It's been done very well. I forgot to show that the head even turns. Thanks for watching, Dean! Have a groovy week dude! 👍🐵
Soft Batman looks like he is ready for business. Keep Skeletor away from him. Bossk was fun but never saw his cartoon movie series, Bossk Baby [dumb joke based on movie Boss Baby]. Not sure which is worse, the dumb joke or me explaining it. Disney created an animatronic Ithorian, Doc Ondar who runs a store in the Star Wars land. They actually created a toy for him as well. Looked six inch but it was "plastic free" packaging so couldn't see it. Did not see the Hasbro name on it but I would assume they made them. I was somewhat tempted but need to do some downsizing first. I do like the old Hammerhead guy. That is a nice custom. Thanks for posting. Have a great week.
Thanks for the comment and the information Andrew! I shall have to investigate this Doc Ondar toy you mention. Cheers for watching the video, glad you found it interesting. Hope to see you in our livestream chat at some point! Link to playlist in description! Thanks again dude, have a stunning week! 👍🐵
Dear Spaniel Ear! Nice little Bossk trio you got there. I always liked the bounty hunters seen (even so short) in Empire. Since the vintage Hammerhead has a loose head, would you dare doing that mod with he vintage Bossk? (joking) The Power of the force 2 version of Bossk looks better sculpted in every way, but nothing can beat the Kenner charm form me (it's the nostalgia). Have an awesome week sir!
Thanks for the comment Seth, and thanks for watching! I can't believe it's taken me so long to get a vintage Bossk in the collection! I have Black Series and POTF versions and even an 18 inch figure of him! Fear the reptilian! Thanks again dude 👍🐵

Haha yes, people do get quite angry about the whole repro issue. Obviously I'd prefer original accessories but I'm never gonna sell my collection so I'm happy enough with repro bits for display purposes. Thank you for watching the video dude, have a good week my man 👍🐵

Ooh, getting fancy with your zoom abilities! ;P
I know, it's like I'm channelling Sam Raimi or something. I might do another zoom shot this year if you're lucky.

Nice to know that "regular-size plush Batman" is not dead.
Haha yeah he's doing fine. A few seconds of screen time. Money well spent.
No, wait, it's the opposite of that. 😕
