An awesome list of figures & cardbacks for sure Brett. I unfortunately didn't get many myself this year because of my circumstances, but Pad Vizla, Darth Revan, Cad Bane & Light Cruiser Luke are at the top for me. Cheers🍻👍

Some awesome picks!! Been so hard to pick this year with so many brilliant releases which is always a problem we want to have!! I picked Black Krrsantan for number 1 simply because of all the great sculpting detail that went into his fur & face sculpt looks amazing!! Paz is in my top 5 as with Reven, Pre Vizla & Cad Bane!!
Thanks Starkiller! Yeah very tough choices to make for Top 5, can't argue with any of your Top 5 in any order really, solid choices. I think I only bumped Pre Vizsla down to #6 because he had more re-use than the ones in the Top 5.
Well, I just got 2 Paz Vizla's on clearance yesterday ($13.99 ea.) and plan to open one up before the day is out. Knowing he made it to #1 on a year's best list has me looking even more forward to checking one of these out up close.
Awesome! Yeah the one negative thing about Paz was how expensive he was with that Deluxe price so getting him on discount is definitely a win! But he is truly an awesome figure and perhaps more justified at the retail Deluxe price than some of the other Deluxe releases we have gotten. Hope you enjoy him as much as I have. Hera has a little ‘junk’ in the trunk! I guess the Holidays were good to her! 😂
Correction: the plate is sculpted on Cad Bane's portrait sculpt. It is subtle but it is there: it is just not painted. Also a minor issue with the video but this is more of a feedback: there is a gray bar as soon as the close up to figures and cardbacks start.
My personal number one has been excluded from your list: DSII Vader. When it comes to value proposition, I'm very picky and this Vader just nails what I wish for in TVC. Loads of accessories, posability options, the authenticity, etc. But that cardback elevates the product quite a lot. If it was new sculpt alone, Darth Revan would have taken it. They're both figures I bought multiple units of because of how good they really are.
I didn’t notice that weird gray bar until you mentioned it, not sure what caused that, never had that happen before, very strange. Yeah the Death Star II Vader is an amazing release. If it was an all new figure probably figure of the year when you factor in everything you get and that amazing cardback, but I just felt since it was like 80-90% reuse that it would not be fair to put him in. I’m currently coming from a one year and a half transition from TBS to TVC. Mainly because of prices rising, no world building and no more vehicles in the TBS line.

My top 10:
1) Fat Bib Fortuna (great use of soft goods, great articulation, great accessories, great flexible lekku, and overall a great presentation and a character I never thought we’d get. Also came with a staff that resembles the Kenner one).
2) Tessek (an OG-96er, background alien, one of my favorite Star Wars species, clever reuse of parts, great use of soft goods and good sculpt)
3) Black Krrsantan (Great sculpt and articulation and great accessories. Poor head movement and poor ability to hold some of the accessories brought this down).
4) Cad Bane (Great character, bounty hunter, alien, and great sculpt and articulation. Just wish the arms could bend more than 90 degrees)
5) Grand Inquisitor (Screen-accurate sculpt, great accessories and overall excellent figure. Just not a huge fan of the character or live action look)
6) Hera Syndulla (Great sculpt and articulation. I also like Twi’leks. Just wish her lekku were more flexible)
7) Morgan Elsbeth (best use of soft goods on a figure and great sculpting on her hair and face. Just wish she came with accessories and had a better center of gravity).
8) Darth Vader DS II (best Darth Vader action figure in my opinion and an improvement over 2022’s Dark Times Vader. We’ve just gotten this character so many times already).
9) Grand Admiral Thrawn (Great villain, great use of the Imperial officer sculpt, and overall a great figure. He’s just a “bland” figure on his own hence I did not rank him higher).
10) Luke Skywalker (Imperial light cruiser) (My favorite Luke Skywalker figure and an overall great portrait. He’s at at the bottom because we receive this character so many times, plus he lacks ball-jointed hips).
Enjoyed this video. I was bit old for some of these lines but nonetheless enjoyed watching. Cannot argue with your number one toy line of figure choices - although from a personal point of view I would have chosen Ben (because he was my first figure back in 1978).
By the way - The sound dipped out on the Buck Rogers segment?
All great choice my top 3 would be
1. Mandalorian (N-1 Starfighter)
2. Darth Vader (Death Star ll)
3. Hera (Ahsoka)

Interesting choice with the N-1 Starfighter Mando, not one I gave much thought to since we've had the Rescue set Mando which is similar but it does look good and I guess does not have the oversized gauntlets like the Rescue one does so probably a solid choice. Had I not excluded the Death Star II Vader from my picks (for too much re-use) he would likely have been my #2 pick as well, amazing figure!
Nice twist on the usual lists. I might put Chopper at #1 for the card back and figure combo. PreVisla as figure of the year. And SDCC BK as packaged figure of the year. Did I cheat a little on the last one? Yep.
most wookie figures dont have head articulation
Cade Bane is my number one followed by Paz.

lol! I don’t think it’s worth quite that much but yeah I do look at my wall sometimes and think “what have I done?” 😂
What stands are you using? Do you find them to be compatible with your TVC. I’m having issues finding a compatible one.
This is a tough issue with TVC. The peg holes on the figures are way too inconsistent. The stands I have I bought in bulk from a Star Wars toy shop and they were generic in a baggie with no brand name so I can’t help you there. But I think most figure stands made for modern figures have the same peg sizes, it’s the figures that are the problem. Many have peg holes that are either too small or too shallow or both. In some cases I actually filed the peg on the stand down to fit a figure’s shallow peg holes. For the most part I’ve given up using stands and just have them for certain figures that fall over easier and older figures.
Hey Brett, great lists! I need your opinion. Do you have both Krrsantans? The normal deluxe and the SDCC version. If so and I only need one, which one should I buy?
Hey man! I do not own both, I only own the SDCC, but you can still buy that one (and I think I saw it on sale a few weeks ago). Personally I like the SDCC one better, mainly because I love the growling face sculpt but also the additional accessories, like the gladiator swords. Also the packaging is cooler (if that matters at all to you). That all said, it does cost a little more so if you dont care about the face sculpt or swords just go with the basic deluxe version.
@colonel_angus I just saw that the regular Krrsantan is on sale for $19.99 on Amazon so may be the way to go if you don’t care that much about those extras I described on the SDCC version.
