Thanks, gotta drain the oil to do this as well?
nice video
Would a broken seal cause the coolant to leak and mix with the engine oil ?
Yes because the inner seal stops the coolant from going past it and into your right engine case. So if your oil is milky that could be a reason
I just change my oil in my 2011 kx 450 and had coolant in the oil so this could be the problem?
Did the seal change stop the coolant for getting into your oil. I’m praying this is ways wrong with mine
@318boro yes it did but I also was dealing with a Crack in the case as well. Rule number one just buy a new case
Thanks for you reply!!!
Nice video, but that's to much beating on those bearings, take the time to find a driver/ socket that only contacts the outer shell/ race of the bearing, you can damage the bearing by hitting any other way. Thanks for posting.
hey i’m doing the same seal on my bike, i’m just making sure that seal has to go face down?
Yes the flat side goes face down and the side that has the retaining spring faces towards you when installing I hope this makes sense.
@@jriders5212 just did this on my bike a couple days ago and seems to be working perfectly, thank you for the vid!
What your bike are you working on and what was the reason for having to replace the whole water pump
The water pump seal was leaking. So I bought a whole new kit for it.
