    I'm rebuilding a 1986 YZ 125, started with the air filter that fell to pieces, it's hard finding one, UNI, came through, then the carburetor rebuild thinking it would just run afterwards, I put transmission oil in it, the oil overfill screw was missing, of course, goto put antifreeze/coolant in it and the drain bolt was missing and the casing on the shroud was busted at that screw as well, coolant just came right out lol. So anyway thank you for the video's, it makes it so much easier and helpful. I'm wondering after I get all that back together if it's gonna need a new piston head lol, fingers crossed I hope not.

    Hey Rocky Mountain great video! So what I did was this job just now but without a video. I tightened the power-valve arm without holding it in place and as the arm went up it hit the top of the case and maxed out in order to tighten it do I have to pull it off again and check to see that it didn't pop out inside? Also in order to get the gears to line up I used my Kickstarter and slowly push down until the case went flush on if the water impeller moves good does that mean it's lined up with all gears? Any info would help thank you very much!

    Hello, I’m from Bangladesh.
    I’ve noticed coolant dropping off through the weep hole but I don’t have the pump seal to replace now. What if I seal the hole using glue, it’ll definitely stop the coolant flow but will it damage my engine?

    I just purchased a 2019 Honda rebel 300. I only put 300 miles on it...After every ride I can see leakage from the weep hole. Dealer claims they did a pressure test and saw no leaks..and a few drops is normal. I don't buy it...A few riders on the Honda Forum are experiencing the same thing...2 of them claim coolant was actually spraying out while riding...Could this be a manufacturers defect with the seals...Dealer advised me that they will not pursue further testing unless they see a puddle.My bike is still under warranty. .What advice could you give me ??? It's burping air out of the system, follow your manual for the correct bleeding procedure.

    @rocky mountain ATV MC is it normal for the impeller shaft to have a bit of play back and forth after its torqued?

    • @rmatvmc
      @rmatvmc  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A slight amount of play in the impeller shaft is normal being they are only supported by one bearing. If yours isn't leaking or making noises, it's most likely normal. You can always check the service manual for your specific bike if it seems excessive.

      @@rmatvmc perfect, I had a decent amount of play but once I installed the engine cover on the bike, it was significantly reduced. 👍. Bike is an 09 yz250 so essentially the same as in the video

      Rocky Mountain ATV MC when doin this do I have to use the grease?

  • @burakveli
    @burakveli 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hi, your video helped me a lot, but I encountered a problem. After I put everything together and I filled the bike with oil and coolant, I noticed that the coolant was dripping out from the little hole underneath. What could I possibly messed up?
    Edit: I want to point out, the coolant was dripping before I even started the engine, the droplets slowed down after a little while.
