I know all about these, I have 2 of them in my garage. Instant on, perfect light quality. Along with them, I have 2 300 watt equivalent CFL bulbs, the garage lights up nice and bright. All of my bulbs are installed in cerramic fixtures, which can handle the heat and of course the wattage. The bulbs I have I believe are Sylvania, and they have C-shaped filaments. I used to run 200 watters, also Sylvania, those have vertical filaments. The garage door opener is mounted to the same beam, and I could see those vertical filaments jiggle when the door was actuated. Never caused any problem for the time they were in service, but I'd imagine over time, that would be when a filament would break. These days, of course, we take what we can get.
I would have much rather had the C filament for better durability, but it is what it is. At this point, we probably shouldn't complain about any incandescent bulb if it at least exists.
I saw one of these at my local hardware store I’m surprised they still make these because there’s not a lot of use for these kind of lightbulbs in any sort of regular household light fixture. Very interesting.
It’s awful to ban incandescent lights. LED lights are so much bigger. There is no 300 watt halogen equivalent LED bulb that exists. That’s a nice bulb.
Just curious, is there a particular colour or level or brightness that is beneficial for heath. For example, is there a colour which would be appropriate for the bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and work/study room
Looks like it was made at the lampworks that made these 300PS25 (technically 300AS25 but muh nomenclature inertia) lamps for GE when they stopped making them domestically ~10 years ago.
I got one of these to go with my frosted version. it is one of my only vertical filament bulbs, but it is impossible to find a suitable light fixture for it
These are nice bulbs....but I cant find them in soft white or even inside frost.... I use high temp barbecue flat white spray paint to convert them to softer white.
I can't think of any practical application for this particular bulb. Related to this 300 watt incandescent, is the 100 - 200 - 300W three way, PS-25 E39d base, was actually fairly common many years ago, in some torchieres. These large 3 way incandescent bulbs are still available as well, but many big box stores no longer carry them, so you might have to shop online or go to a well established hardware store or lighting store to buy one if you have an old lamp that takes this bulb.
I dont understand people that ban this They are way cheaper and simple to make and recycle then LED, doesnt this also matter (how much energy u use to make and recycle things) Sure they use more electricity but so does our owen, heaters and electric cars, and we dont seam to ban those

I love installing incandescent bulbs! Thanks for another great video, my friend!
Thanks for letting me know.

I can't really think of any use cases that would take a bulb like this.

It is.
Way better than Garbage LED bro hopefully they will keep this light around longer I enjoyed the video
True this should be more reliable.

There have been studies that suggest guidelines for different areas. The preferences are going to vary from person to person.

It would have been nicer if the bulb was frosted, it is a bit harsh in the clear format.
Does anybody know if this bulb would work on a bulb current limiter. ? Or too much watts
As a request could you do a video of reading the comments Jordan?
I will add it to the list.

I can't either, other than in a regular lamp dimmed down quite a bit because this is the only incandescent bulb you can get anymore.
I like it
OK
You should’ve tested the surface temperature with your infrared thermometer.
Maybe next time.
