I have been using these wig caps for years, I prefer them over the other caps on the market one because I live in Florida it’s hot here most of the year. You get ventilation and wigs can be hot and another reason when you’re going through menopause and hot flashes these works so much more better than the other wig caps
Since I have switched to these caps my whole life has changed 🤣, I can easily scratch my heat if it’s itchy, my head can breathe, and they are a lot lighter so much better for the summer or hot climate. Definitely a game changer for me
Thank you so much for this video, I was not confident about trying these caps, however your video was very informative and has made me confident in trying them out. You have a new subscriber 🖤
I enjoyed watching you do this craft! You're so good at it & I've been watching u closely! You have inspired me to start making wigs for me & others who need to wear wigs bc of hair loss due to chemotherapy. Tks for sharing
Thank you so much! That's great, I have a few clients that are survivors I make units for. The feedback I get from them is truly inspiring for me to keep going. Good luck on your journey!
This is amazing 👏 🙌 😍 I'm a professional hair colorist, looking to get into the wig making business. Right now I'm only doing extensions but ready to take it to the next level. You are great and this so very inspiring thank you for sharing. Would love to talk to you sometime #hairtalk
Yes I do. I believe I only have size small left in the ventilated caps. I will be restocking in a couple of weeks, here's a link for my site linktr.ee/nettieshairtique
No, you don't want to stretch out the cap while sewing. You want to just straighten out the cap and place the track just like sewing on a dome cap. Check your settings to make sure the machine is not grabbing to much of the cap, the needle should go into or right above your track.
@@brooklynwigcollection thank you for taking the time and replying 🙏🏾, I use a singer, I used the single stitch 00.00 and it was on 3.2 something like that

Exactly 😂 I make all my units with these caps now. It's definitely a game changer 🙌🏽
Mesh caps never fit around my head like the dome caps. I measure, but they do not grip my head; they just sit on my head.
When I was wearing wigs ventilated caps are all I wore! They are so breathable you don’t want to go back! Fantastic job it was so clean and neat
Yes! Thank you!
This is the best video about this wig cap ..love it
Thank you!
Love it, I think I will try this. I only make wigs for myself, just learning on the sewing machine.

This is so helpful ❤
Thank you!
You're welcome!
this was very helpful! i love this content. Where do you get those ventilated caps from?
Glad I can help! I get them from my hair vendor. I will be selling them soon, right now I do have mesh dome caps for sell.
😍
Thank you so much for this video. Does your scalp show if your out in the wind?
You're welcome! The hair is full on my wigs, it will not show.
Your tutorials are so helpful thank you! Why would a person use a ventilated vs a dome?
Just a matter of preference.
You know to remove the plastic easily you can just put it in hot water and it melts right off
Didn't know that...thanks for the tip!
❤
If you don't mind, could you share you're sewing machine measurements
These are the settings I use when sewing on ventilated cap: Length 3, Width 4, and Tension 5.
Hello, I’m wondering if this is suitable for a frontal as well.
Hello! Yes it is, I don't make frontal units myself but I have seen others do it.
I honestly was afraid to make a wig on this cap. Also I didn't know you can double the weft
Yes...I didn't know either! I make sure to double my tracks good though.
Did you switch over do you still live them ? Live your videos btw
Yes...and most of my clients as well. Thank you!
Wont doubling the bundles make the wig heavy?
No, it doesn't.
What king of machine are you using to saw your wigs
Singer heavy duty
Name of products?
Can you use this wig cap without the machine?
I don't believe so
Can you please tell me your swing machine model
It's the Singer 4423 Heavy Duty. Affiliate Link amzn.to/3fitLg6
@@brooklynwigcollection thanks for your responses.
Do you sell the ventilated caps? If not were can I purchase them?
Yes I do. I believe I only have size small left in the ventilated caps. I will be restocking in a couple of weeks, here's a link for my site linktr.ee/nettieshairtique
@@brooklynwigcollection Thank you!
I have tried like this but the cap became smaller and it didn’t stretch at all, do I have to stretch the cap while I’m sewing or not?
No, you don't want to stretch out the cap while sewing. You want to just straighten out the cap and place the track just like sewing on a dome cap. Check your settings to make sure the machine is not grabbing to much of the cap, the needle should go into or right above your track.

@@HAIRHOLIC_1 I use the singer heavy duty, for single stitches my settings are on 4 and tension is 5.
@@brooklynwigcollection thank you so much, I’ll try again with your ones but mines is not heavy duty. Is the distance of the stitches important ?
@@HAIRHOLIC_1 You're welcome, the cap shrinks just a bit with each stitch, so you do want a good distance between the width and length.
Hello, can you teach me how to make wigs? I need a one-on-one. If so where are you located and how can I contact you?
Hey! I sent you an email.
