      I think it's a better layout this way performance wise, now it just needs painting really and Mfu installing and a possible winch 😊

    Looks great 👍👍 I would suggest, on the rear Axle, drilling a hole between the two for the lower link....
    The rear Pinion angle is too low. This isn't critical, but will cause faster dogbone wear over time. 😉
    The black paint inside Rusty does make a difference!
    The Wheel Arches do look good, but it might be more practical without them. Just my opinion.

    • @scotty555babe
      @scotty555babe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The pinion angle was the same the other way around too, it's pretty efficient and the dogbones will only be temporary till I add Universals,
      I just thought it would be better performance wise to mirror the setup and have that Lone axle trailing on the rear unlocked 😊

      It went from stupid to sensible in minutes.. Why they still put those shitty motors in the kit is beyond me, I know companies are out to screw people of their monies but a torquier motor isn't going to do any damage to Tamiyas bank 👌

    Hi there.looks like you been doing them for a while?im doing a 6x4 Scania I’ve filled over the cab screws in side for cab tilt as look shit with screws in.trying think of way for trailer lights wish they made a 5th wheel with little brass plates in it then on trailer has little rounded over pins on small springs so can move up a down as go over in dents in 5th wheel were plates sitting.then would have trail hocked up without the wire.
    One that piss me off a I went to Tamiya Uk as only up road.when you paint rear light to how it tells you to the colours are in wrong place a don’t line up with the bulbs.a guy in Tamiya said your right but still had pay for new lenses.
    One that really bug me you fit the mfc unit how tells you put then you can’t fit the seats a so on because mfc sits in the way.
    I’ve got some 1000mm rails a want to make a 8be 6.does anyone do plans of were need to drill holes someone that has done before like yourself could trace were holes are a then print them of.a could tape in place a dot mark were holes are.
    A lot of this new to me know what want but there no help out there on how you do it like the extend gooseneck trailers people built don’t sell plans or parts to build one😬 a no help on where get bits.

      I gotta agree with a lot of the things you mention, for the price of these toys when products are improving so fast, you'd really think Tamiya would up their game a little bit, I replace a lot of the bolts for scale bolts with the Hex heads for a socket, to make a template for blank rails you need to clamp your existing rails to the blanks and drill and tap away as for gooseneck and things just takes a lot of research, usually starts with getting plans for a real one then Scaling them down and working from there, or there are companies out there like lesu and rc4wd that make these however be prepared to part out with a month's wage..
      Have fun with your trucks pal 😊👌

    Morning Scotty! I know another vid is due to show how the locked diffs work in action, but im building mine up today so can you give is the heads up if its better to lock them them in the orientation you have done it? I promise ill still watch the video thats due too LOL

    • @scotty555babe
      @scotty555babe  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      🤣🤣 Hi, yes I locked them this way to specifically reduce scrub on the rear axle and less push when loaded, my king hauler is locked and performs great anywhere, the tri drive when I had it out seems to drive great I just haven't really seen how much steering I have lost if any but that can be sorted with another little steering mod, 👍
      But overall in my personal opinion from playing around, this has turned out to be the most efficient way 😊

    wow your look so great axles, I am bout to build my self USA grand hauler king semi truck with it mean little more longer then grand hauler cuz of 3 axles ram building with new rail Fram to make a new hole spot.. I already build the 1 and 2 truck . now build my self 3 truck sooner.. I am looking around those people who build a 3 rear axles. I am plan to build a 8x8, what that mean is front drive plus rear 3 axles drive . who's my truck gotta be so heavy with a new iron rail Fram tho..

    • @scotty555babe
      @scotty555babe  ปีที่แล้ว

      That will be a great build, are you using the lesu front drive/steer axle for the 8x8.. I've always been tempted to put one on my king hauler for a 6x6..
      Have fun with your projects 🙂
