@@hacgarimman9660 Since there were only little restrictions back then we were able to travel to some states and I was able to see my family in neigbour country.
Visited 11 countries on 2 continents during the peak of covid... and even camped and sunbathed on an inaccessible beach surrounded by cliffs, with only cute seal pups and their concerned mommas looking on.

My grandfather (who, among other professions, was a session pianist and played with a bunch of popular jazz musicians throughout the 40s and 50s), listened to Django Reinhardt growing up and introduced the music to my dad, who introduced the music to me. I'm probably not going to have kids, but when I have nieces or nephews, I'll make sure they hear this.
You should have kids JUST to insure someone in the next generation appreciates things as you do, the important things.
For every smart person that doesn't have kids, there are 10 dumb people having kids

I love listening to this while doing my homework. Finishing up my second undergraduate degree, I find this music keeps me pumped up without the distractions other styles of music have.

He's so smooth and clean you dont realise how fast he is ..always in control never seems hurrie'd never stumbles no matter how complicated it gets his phrasing and timing are unequalled and most of his solo's are off the cuff. No one like him to this day
OOouf, idk about no one else like him. Plenty of incredible musicians especially stringist that have just as much talent. He was one of the first of his kind tho

Tony Iommi's initial inspiration - there was a very strong Jazz influence evident in much of Black Sabbath's discography. Air Dance, Breakout, Wicked World, Sweet Leaf immediately spring to mind.

Tony loved the music and it was the boss who told him that Django had similar disabilities and he wanted Tony to continue on the guitar cos he had talent too

Fantastic soloist, of course, but hardly anyone ever mentions what a sublime rhythm player he was. He carried the whole band. I don't do solos, but I managed to get some musical success out of studying his rhythm playing like mad.
That was brother Joseph, among others.
Django only had two useable fingers on his fretting hand.
You understate the contribution of the others.
No one person carries the whole band.
@@SuperMikado282 There are recordings in this very video where he is the only guitarist and he clearly plays rhythm, the rhythm guitar goes away when he starts soloing. Read the video description and listen to songs 5-9.
