- Let's take a look at the all new 2024 Chevrolet Traverse. All of this for under $43,000. I'd definitely consider looking at this beautiful SUV. See our friends at Ray Chevrolet in Fox Lake.

This looks great. Thank you for showing off the LT trim... which is what most people will probably end up buying. So tired of everyone showcasing the high-end RS trim that starts at over $54k. (For that much, you might as well get a Tahoe.) But I'd definitely consider this in the low $40's or so.
100% agreed. This one is about 43k as shown. It's so much vehicle for the money. Yes, the rs is nice, but this is the one most buyers will likely target.
Totally agree. Thanks for giving the lower trims some love. I was pretty much set on going with the z71 because I like the look of it over the RS. However, now that I see the look of the LT. I think I like the look of it over the Z71. Plus it's cheaper. Win win for me
No one has had a choice. GM only provided RS & Z71 to shows and reveals
Press fleet vehicles are almost always the top trim so they can showcase everything offered. He has one from an actual dealers inventory.
@@dukelville ... that's true. It makes sense for auto shows and reveals. But as a buyer, realistically that's not what I'm looking at. I get why they do it... it just bums me out a little is all. Just a pet peeve.
First driving video! Let’s go!
:)
Great review. Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you!
I don't understand how everyone is saying the Z71 and top RS trim are too pricey and might as well get a Tahoe. It's priced competitively for the segment and you get super cruise. A base LS Tahoe is 60K and LT is 67K and will cost you way more in gas. Yes it looks like a baby Tahoe, but I don't know why so many people/journalist keep reviewing it as competitor to its "big brother" just because of interior dimensions. One is a body on frame SUV with a V8 engine and the other is a large 3 row unibody SUV with a turbo 4cyl both in different price points. The same folks paid over sticker for Palisades and Tellurides.
I agree, well said.
The rs is very nice, no denying that but when I can get a GH platinum for the same price……sorry Chevy
I agree. I only compare it to the Tahoe in looks. I don't fee it's a comparable vehicle. This is a Palisade, Grand Cherokee L etc..
Road noise?
this Traverse is meeeaaann! Excellent upgrades...nolonger looks like the budget generic family hauler. People without kids will be buying this! The previous generation wasnt horrible but to me only looked good in the RS , Premium and High Country.
100% this is a home run!
Love the thick steering wheel. Really adds to the impression of quality. I hate scrawny thin steering wheels and cheap feeling switchgear. *gm* has taken the Traverse up a few notches without increasing the price too much. I think they did a really good job. The tech is also impressive for the segment.
100% agreed. There's something about a nice thick wheel that just sets the vehicle apart. They did a great job on this one. It's a ton of vehicle for the money!
How is the speakers quality in the LT variant . Is there option to upgrade to Bose speakers
You can upgrade to the ten-speaker Bose premium audio system. 6 speaker is standard.
Would LOVE to see a detailed comparison video of this in RS trim compared to a Jeep Grand Cherokee L
I can definitely make that happen. I'll put that on the schedule. Thanks for watching.
I am Korean. I can't wait to meet Traverse in Korea. Thank you for the review. I have a question. Is there a HUD function?
Yes. That feature is available
This whole new design took it to the next level. Hopefully reliability is there as well. However, aren’t we asking too much from a 2.5 engine? Thoughts?
I don't think so. Remember all these new engines are much more capable of pittout more power and efficiency. More horsepower and torque out of smaller engines is common. As stated in the video it's got more power and torque than the previous 6cyl.
It feels nice too
@@JeepsOnTheRunNice how quiet is it and how comfortable are the seats
@@Maxwell1989 I was very impressed. Easily could take a long road trip and be comfortable.
@@JeepsOnTheRun nice to hear what did you think the 0 to 60 is?
@@Maxwell1989 totally shooting from the hip, I'd say 6 sec range
Wasn’t there a driving impressions embargo until May 1st?
May 6th
@@Maxwell1989 shhh 😉
May 2nd actually!
Well there's always one😂😂😂
That embargo is probably for the reviewers who went to the drive event. He’s reviewing a dealers inventory and Chevy can’t control that.
I got a RS same color fully loaded being delivered in the next couple of days put the order in January 10
Congrats, Keep us posted how you like it!
Congrats!
I'm getting the Z71. Should be here in the next couple of days as well
Where did you order it??
@nathansalido3047 you can go to any Chevrolet dealership
Where’s the wiper control?
Left stalk , which you can see at 2:46
No fog lights, at all?
It's got fogs.
Would you say it’s quieter and drives better than the last gen Chevy traverse?
I would. Overall it's like a different vehicle. The last gen was great, but this is a home run!
@@JeepsOnTheRun thanks for responding.
@@oliwierprzetacznik5935 We try to be as interactive as we can. :)
Quieter? I doubt. I prefer the deep rumble of the old V6 over this turbocharged cacophony 5:37
@@sansin6250 I don't feel any V6 kffers a deep rumble, but I do feel the cabin is generally quieter.
Who designed those 3rd row windows😂😂😂😂
They are very small but you know it will be mainly kids/teens back there and they will be looking at a phone/screen of some type, not out the windows, most of the time anyway. Lol
@@charliep214 that might be the case for you
They are small, but I feel that where your sitting unless you look to a hard left or right, you're not really looking out of them.
Hard pass. Won’t be able to operate if intoxicated. It’ll be similar to inserting a cheat code just to drive the vehicle.
For one, why would you want to operate while intoxicated? For two what do you even mean?
