One japanese viewer put a comment so interesting I wanted to put it in english too. Oda's writing is really amazing. Crocodile manipulated the country from the underground, and he was beat up while he emerge from the underground to the sky. Doflamingo Tenyasha (litteraly the Sky Demon) manipulated the country from above the ground and he was beat up by being brought from the sky to the ground.
And considering that the soundtrack used in this episode, Dvořák's 9th Symphony of the New World, is also known as the "Fourth Movement" of the symphony, it might've gave Oda a little inspiration of Luffy's Gear Fourth and how he defeated Doflamingo in a contrasted way of how he defeated Crocodile before. It's so interesting.

Man, the thing that's so special about Oda's writing is that the victories really MEAN something. Watching Luffy beat the shit out of Crocodile is one thing, but then the emotional high of that is immediately surpassed by something as simple as rain starting to fall. The symbolism around this country that's tearing itself apart suddenly stopping and turning to look at the rain is incredible

Hats off to Oda and Dvorak. The music they chose for this was different from the usual terrific soundtrack, but it was perfect. Symphony No. 9 "From the New World" Movement IV
One wonders if the name of the symphony they chose had anything to do with facing an antagonist whose dreams were dashed, whose original goals were similar to Luffy's, and ultimately returned from the New World. After humiliating defeat, willing to accept a position from the World Government (a disgrace to any that vied for the title of King of the Pirates), with designs of using them to achieve his aims, Crocodile's defeat in this situation was the only possible result of any future Pirate King testing his mettle.
I would be so mad if Wit studio do not use this again for this battle.

This is my 2nd favorite knockout in the entire series. Only being beaten by the Katakuri one, the music, the "Storm", the whole floor being destroyed, how the crew celebrate.
All of that is a Masterpiece.

One of the absolute craziest finishes to a boss fight. I still feel like Crocodile got a worst beat down than Lucci. Like Cobra said, dude's body got punched straight through bed rocks. And he felt every single one of those punches while Lucci had the fortune of at least having tekkai to mitigate Jet Gatling.
Without tekkai Lucci would be dead.
this ep is a literal master piece. It's so good, the music and the animation with it brilliant

This and Luffy choosing to help Nami hooked me. I've never felt so much energy in a final blow. I felt my chest swell in pride when the music swelled. It was beautiful.
This fight is going to be insane in season 2 of the live action.

I really like to believe that crocodile, even though Luffy found the weekspot, could only fight at half power as most of his energy went to keep the rain from falling. I always felt like it's just a scapegoat because then you could always beat ace and akainu easily too by just being a little bloody or wet.
im currently at ep 700something and till now i feel like nothing was as epic as this fight, the music and the energy are just so perfect. i loved this fight even tho it was pretimeskip

Yes, but Bounties don’t imply how strong you are, just how dangerous they think you are. In addition, this was before Haki was actually known. If Crocodile wasn’t weak to water or even blood, he would’ve won.

I don't want to be that guy my man, but I really don't see any reason to include RTTV in these reactions. a Majority of their "reactions", especially those from Rob, are horrible.
