We always see what its like playing against big monster AI who run away with the game - so let's take a look at how it happens and why. Appreciate it! new and interesting funny stuff is always enjoyable for me. Just like the first time I used jet fighters or did a religion econ. it keeps the game alive and fresh!

Ragnar would be stoopid OP with this if you wanna do your Always War game. Financial/Aggressive. Trading Post, Harbour, Customs House, then with the water wonders, Temple Artemis Great Lighthouse, Colossus if you can would be insane. With Civics + Barracks + Academy, you can get 9/10 upgraded Beserkers, from 0 combat XP. Free Market, + Currency Rush for extra trade routs is what I usually bee-line. Would be hella fun!

It reminds me of a map I played on immortal. It was so OP, and I was so far ahead and could build and settle everything that I had too many options.
Like you said it was easy but hard to optimize.
I retired the game in first place before civil service. It hurt my brain.

Like you said, playing this mod on diety always war would be epic, counter their unit spam with your own unit spam, that would lead to some really entertaining games
Yeah I am thinking Deity AW with 6-8 AI tech trading on, would be really fun. Also big sury almost wins domination at like 800ad while im teching away in my corner lmao deity ai are still juiced up

Well deity AI dont get much wonder discount, its 5% per era normally; so not much faster. what's funny though is you can get super early levees and factories and build your wonders that way. Not to mention grow your cities up to ridiculous sizes quickly and work tons of hammers. I think Pacal is super OP for deity because he has the fast start, the financial trait, the health bonus and extra happiness bonus on his building. Health and Happiness are the biggest problems for deity AI since they have limited resources by their land.

NGL I was kind of hoping you'd stack multiple religions in one city and do some silly religious wonders economy nonsense lol. What a fun mod. :)
its kinda RNG where they pop up
AIs struggle with barbarians for the same reason they struggle against your stacks. They have to maintain a certain minimum stacking in their cities, so they tend not to be proactive with defending against units in their territory.
After watching countless of Sulla's AI suvivor, the AI has no idea how to chop forests. So the massed forest starts actually hurt the AI and the flood plain starts run away with the early game.
Always war on diety with 8 diety AI sounds alot of fun! Especially on this mod. Something you should definitely do
If you want a silly game, I recommend Ramesses on Noble Pangaea and aim for a BC conquest win with War Chariots - choose non-protective AIs (not Mansa with his UU) , raze their cities and pillage their copper mines tiles.
honestly I can do that on immortal on a good day with a more crammed map, or very easily on emperor anyway.

I have a challenge for you.
Win a deity game on whatever map you want but workers and workboats ALLWAYS on automatic. You dont control them even when they make dumb stuff.
(You cant understand how ppl lose on noble, maybe that will help xD)
on regular deity? that sounds impossible. on this mod? yes doable

deity is hard enough normally, plenty of cancer unbeatable maps :) having your workers troll u sounds like hell. i mean they do super stupid inefficient stuff on automate like cottage plains before flood plains.

You might also explain and show to us noobs that play with them automated why they are so freaking inefficient and why we end up losing on noble in the end of the day xd
I feel so incompetent at Civ now; even with this I'd probably lose. I get so single-minded that I forget about my other workers and can't really manage so many units and cities at once :(
Take breaks and gather your thoughts, slow down on the gameplay and think before hitting next turn
How about a game on this mod, where you have to own all holy cities, and maybe all wonders. Of course youd have to take them by force, but hey
Another thing i really enjoyd in this vid, is how much fun you had doing this. it was really contagious :)
Shrines are a bit annoying very RNG based, need people to build shrines or otherwise need to RNG great prophets and build them yourself. Would rather a game building every single other wonder if I had the choice.
@@henrik9658 Just to clarify, i didnt mean that you should found even one religion, i meant taking anyones holy city from them ;..;, Also, you could set the goal to own every wonder, either build by yourself or taken from others

@henrik9658 I suppose it would be too much of a grind as a challenge anyway, all it would take is the AI to rush one for it to be time down the toilet

Suggestion for 'out-there' video in this style is for you to play a game of vanilla without checking what the differences are first.
(I recently got a new computer which won't run Beyond the Sword but does run vanilla, so I'm doing that for real...)

Isn't having deity advantages against diety AI basically like playing noble ?
yes but its funny to start with 2 settlers and 50 hammer knights
does deity AI get more bonuses than a human playing on settler?
hard to say, human never pays less than 100% cost for building/units even on settler but instead it will penalize the AI and make them pay 60% more on those difficulties.
human doesn't start with free worker/settler on settler diff but can pop them from huts all the way to warlord. but yes its roughly equivelant.
Since the AI are still technically deity AI and have everything the same as me (discounts, 2 settlers etc), this game is more like playing on noble as that's also a level plain field for you and the AI.
Here I am playing no espionage games for the last 20 years wondering why I can't out tech 18 civs on monarch fml lol
ah, yes. you are making it much harder. TBH i turned off espionage a lot when i was younger and never got past noble. I know how weird it is but yeah just deal with the spy crap, dont build spy buildings and dont run the slider, just deal with it; they hardly bother you. You can use spies to explore enemy territory in wars which is super helpful to spot incoming stacks. also to take down walls/castles and give trebs an easier time.
