- Building a tiny log cabin in the woods for winter bushcraft camping in the snow. With the wood stove inside it makes for a warm and cozy winter camping trip to fight off the sub zero temperatures.

Enjoy the little things in life because one day when you look back you will realize that those things were the biggest things in your life.
Очень уютно и красиво смотреть на огонь в печке! Это так завораживает!!! 😊
My friend, how I miss you and your days in winter. You are a person who has memories every winter between us. We love you very much⚘❤
Thanks so much dyaa. Hope to see you on the next one.
Hey there Joshua, Luke from Outdoor boys has Down sleep booties (surper warm slippers) he sleeps in....no idea the expense, but he is always so happy he has them for his winter camping....
Great Build! I Love the new stove and sleeping bag and Mat ❤️
Yes I seen he uses them alot. The hot bottle is really nice to. That's my normal way. I didn't think it was going to be cold enough this first winter trip. I was wrong. Lol. Cheers
Well done JG Wilderness Construction Co! A lot of time and effort went into your build, especially filming, back packing filming gear and then editing. Thank you for sharing your wilderness experiences with us. I always love it when I see you posted a new video. Keep those cameras rolling!
Cheers Lewis. I laugh every time I see your post. JG Wilderness Construction Co. Thanks and hope your having a good one

Cheers Millisa. Hope you have a great new years.
Good to see you busy again in the bush and great build and happy to see you out n about in this lovely scenery. Having this cabin we will certainly get to see you busy busy enjoying these wonderful wintery sights and sounds. I do hope that leavIng that nice sturdy stove in the cabin is a good idea, could be snapped up by would be opportunists anyway Cheers Joshua.travel well.
it wasn't an easy decision to leave it but I don't think anyone is going to be back here. It's really heavy and I came in on ATV with it.
I need to get out and do this again. Did a trip camping in the Upper peninsula of Michigan. Real peaceful away from the busy world.
Oh yes. This is the place to be.
Nice set up Joshua
cool little cozy cabin
Beautiful stove. Nice sleeping bag
You need to fill those gaps. Rolls of insulation about 6 inches wide. I’ve seen several people use that for these cabins. Paracord , canvas on the door. Nice work though. Muffin looks yummy.
thanks for all the ideas willam.
You're gonna "test it oat"? 😁 No matter, nice work!
Where I live we don't have moss to fill in between the logs so I used Great Stuff
From east Kentucky. Found your channel. Good vid. Like the cabin build.
Awesome! Thank you!
Nice shelter
Hey Buddy ! Had some downtime this morning waiting for trains to pass so checked out the build, wow that is one sweet little cabin !!! you did a great job ! Did I miss any build videos? this is the first time ive seen it, or is this your original bushcraft shelter you turned into a cabin?
that stole was super nice, I really like the solid stove pipe lengths, much more than the roll up ones..... I'm super excited to get out and do some camping, Pomoly sent me a few tents, I cant wait to try out. Anyway great job, hope you and the Family are doing good, and have a great Holidays. Cheers !
Hey dude. This spot was my tree shelter than if fell down over a winter or two ago. This is sort of my transforming the site with the logs I already cut. There's a few videos of me starting the build if you like back. It's slow progress but coming along. Happy Holidays to you and the family. The kids are getting so big. cheers,
Great & Amazing bushcraft video ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you very much Ellen.
Oy, welcome back! Winter camping is my fave too, and best to watch!🍻
Oh yes. Finally 😁
Great little cabin , and I like that stove a lot . The matches and lighter were funny ,
lol. ya the match box blew apart on me.
Sorry I'm late, was "glamping" in our camper this week with my wife at the lake. Cool little shelter and a lot of hard work making it! Door idea: Make one to fit the opening but just slide it sideways inside to open... and, while you're inside use a post on an angle propped against it to keep anything outside from pushing it in. While gone, just tie some cord to hold it in place until the next trip. Nice sleeping bag! I like the materials much better than polyester. Which gets colder, feet or head?... sleep with the colder end by the stove to stay warmer. I also use a wool knit cap, scarf, and socks to stay warmer when needed. Good looking meals... quick, easy, and delicious. With winter camping season here, I've been thinking of bringing a cold 8-piece fried chicken pack from the grocery store for lunch/dinner, and some deviled egg potato salad would go great, too. Just for variety, easy to keep cold in the snow, no need to reheat, and delicious and filling for a good meal. I'm going camping again next weekend and might just do that for my IG pics. Cheers, and I'll look for the next one! Pete in Arizona - KI7LIL
Hey Peter. Love you IG pictures looks amazing. Feet get cold first never my head. I like the door idea. Simple and can be removed easily. Cheere
Well done, you rock bro 🔥👌🍻🤘💯
Thanks ✌️
Freaking awesome video
wow very interesting experience friend
Yes, thank you
you're welcome@@JoshuaGammon
Outstanding and is there a better sound than those logs crackling x
Thanks. I know the sound the can crackling is amazing.
Hey Joshua, sweet stove you got there! Cheers from VT
Cheers Kirk 🔥👍
Great video joshua...
Glad you enjoyed it. Hope you have a great weekend.
Josh nice cabin, I built one on my property out of pine logs, used a draw knife to embark them, and let them dry. I used Great Stuff to fill in the gaps and it worked great, my cabin is only 10x10, I just need a stove now, I used a Buddy Heater does ok, but like to have a wood burning stove. Thanks for your time and video
10x10 is a nice size for a small stove. It's nice to have a little place to go hide for a night. lol
Hey! Another great video, shelter is looking mint! Love the pine bows at the top, cool idea. Your camp food looks so delish. I’ll bet the Grim tasted sweet after that long day. Good work, keep well!
Thanks so much. The bows are great for letting some heat or smoke out
Love the videos man.cheers
Glad you like them!
Great videos. Thanks
🔥
Good to see you back out in the woods bud. Great vid Thank you.
Ya buddy. No bugs. Super excited 😆
G'day Josh, SNOW! Great Vid and great cabin. Fill a water bottle with hot water and put it in the bottom of your sleeping bag for warm feet?!
I was thinking about it but thought I could get away with it on this trip. Lol. I was being lazy. Didn't pay off. The best way to learn is the hard way right. 😉
❤❤ nice vlogs camp
Nice cold weather setup!
Thanks 👍
OMG!!! LOL and a half! 12:00
Best way to get the fire going. Just bring in a hot log. lol
Cool cabin you have there but will the stove be safe to leave behind, I wouldn't trust anyone snooping around... loving the snow it's going to be a winter wonderland for you soon 🏕❄🙏❤
no one should be around this parts. its far back in the woods. I used the ATV to get here.
Nice setup there Josh!
Thanks!
That smoke ring at 18:47 🔥
Lol. Oh ya. I wish I could say I planned that. That was cool.
I can vouch for those Cabelas sleeping bags, have 1 summer bag and a -20 Fahrenheit. Warm!
Ya so far so good. Lovin it
Love that stove. Great video!
Thanks dude. Yours is looking great too. Lovin them IG pics. You made me jealous!
cabin looking good
Thanks
Reflectix on the walls
Great video buddy the bushcraft cabin looks great and lots of nice gear buddy
Ya the camp is really fun closed in. I think I need a table in there
@@JoshuaGammon it looks great buddy
Maybe if u could rig something like a garage door but you would need to have a track system and stable roof or rafters for it to work
that might be a little to much for this little cabin. I do like the idea tho
Very nice my friend 🤠
Thank you kindly Herb
Hopefully is your sleeping bag not „pretty cool“😊
I was thinking of a door, for a while now, that couldn’t be opened when someone’s asleep, and I thought four poles deep in the ground at the doorway, on the inside of the cabin, then cut poles that fit from one wall to the other, they slide inside the doorway and four ground poles, but their only for night or when it’s raining.
thanks for a idea's. cheers

I would have put the stove nearer the centre of the cabin, as you have it now, you are losing far too much heat with the chimney being on the outside, better off it being on the inside to keep the heat in. Always strike the matches toward you, its too savage striking it away, take it from a 40 a day of 30 years.
Thanks for the tips Andy. I thought about the stove in the middle but it''s tight in there and I didn't want to rub against the hot stove.
Awesome video..... and I love the stove.
Thanks 👍
Very good to see you again, hopefully everything will be fine with you. Keep the positive work greeting from Vancouver
Thank you! Will do! Hope you have a great week.
I know which family members I'm hunkering down with, post "event".
Lol. It's a little small but we could all jam in there. 🔥👍
Did anyone catch what kind of stove that was?
Sure need to think about some sort of chinking...lots of wind coming through the cracks
Oh yes. we have lots of moss around but I was late getting back here to do that so it might have to wait unless spring if it doesn't warm up.
I put my Bic lighter in my armpit for a minute or 2, my body heat helps the gas in lighter to work- just saying
yes im sure the lighter in my pocket would have worked but a farro rode never fails.
First
That roof hold up through the winter ?
Yes, this is the second winter for the tarp
❤️💗💖💟😇💙💝♥️❣️
What backpack did you use
It's from Savotta
The sound of rich, hot coffee being poured from any given pot is a distinctly different sound from hot water poured from the same pot.
lol I know right. it was making me thirsty
For the door, it doesn’t have to be hinged. Think about a hatch or plug type door that’s completely removable but can be secured in place with toggles
You might want to consider putting a closed cell foam mat (yoga mat) between the logs and your inflatable mattress to guard against “pokies’ and keep it inflated lol
Did you do the first burn on that stove inside the cabin? I hope not. It gives off toxic fumes (oil and chemicals used in manufacturing) during the first burn. Should be done outside.
FYI- That Cabela’s bag, and many of their other associated products like that, are actually jut Teton products that have been rebranded. You can save a few $ buying the Teton brand.
That's for all the ideas and tips. I like your door idea for use. I might do that. I didn't know that about the branding. thanks so much and hope you have a great day.
Toe socks. Sounds stupid and I hate them but they keep your feet warm. I thought it would be like your hands...you should wear mitts to keep them warmer but I found that those stupid looking toe socks keep your feet warm. And I have cold feet even in the summer.
I'll have to look them up. Never heard of toe socks.
