Catherine does old ladies so well. I have to remind myself that she's only in her forties.
She does teens so well too!
@@jakewilliams5608 probably when that comment was made 5 years ago she was in her 40s
She got the character from an old lady at a home she was performing at when she was a kid .she heard the woman watching say .what a load of old sh"t . Hence nan was born
Bring back Catherine Tate show!! :D
Ambs Jackson I so agree
Yeaaaaaaaaaah
Catherine Tate is on about making a flim just with her Nan Character and Matt who plays her grandson
@@CJTheLyricalMaster Yep ya right there, am lookin forward to it
Exactly I miss it too much I love Nan Taylor.
Catherine Tate she is wonderful and so accurate , We used to have a neighbour who lived in our street who was exactly like Nan, she used to swear like sailor but called you,." my favourite" to your face.
My 95 year old neighbour is exactly like this here in Australia. She can be ever so sweet to others but turns into a complete cow with me when they're not around.
Narcissistic 😂
@@danniellejohnson448learn what that means before throwing the word around
Glorious creatures. I love it when they stop caring what people think
"Everyone's gay! Elton John....
At least two other people...
Everyone!"
Catherine Tate is really talented! She pulls off an older role perfectly!
The heart monitor bleep was an immensely clever touch!
Nothing like a Cockney's sense of humour, Real Londoners to the end. this is a Classic.
The old show would never get away with airing these days. Bloody hilarious love nan
It's back on ...been watching it...
Catherine Tate is just brilliant.
OMG I LOVE NAN!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE CATHERINE TATE SHOW!!!
She HAS to bring Nana back with her own sitcom - that would be ACE!!!
Haha, Catherine Tate is great! Pity they had to censor every swear word though, it's one of the key components to this skit. It's because people all complained last year, what a fucking liberty!
this sketch is a fucking liberty and two fingers to those who complained
Well it is for Children in Need. :)
... It's for children in need mate. Hardly a surprise they censored it
If people don't like tha language don't watch it.
@@jeanettediss6640 it’s for children 😭😭
About time Nan and friends were back on the TV. Brilliant actress.....
I'd love see a Catherine Tates nan and Mrs Brown's Boys crossover please make it happen 😂😂
Please no. Mrs Brown is an embarrassment to British comedy and the lowest common denominator 🤢
@@mrm5183 that may be your opinion but other people like it i personally think its hilarious maybe you just dont have the same irish sense of humor
Sep Tember THANK YOU FINALLY SOMEONE SAID IT
1000 subscribers with no videos Exactly, Irish and Scottish Comedy is excellent, cause Mrs Browns is made in Glasgow.
@@mrm5183 if that's the case then why is the show able to do live tours including Australia! My mum doesn't like most comedians, however, she REALLY laughs at Mrs. Brown's Boys and for someone who doesn't show much joy and laughter I like seeing her this way 😊
It's funny how her grandson copes with her with no complain. 😂
He’s desensitised 😂
about time she was back on tv missed her!! david tennant or matt smith should of been the dr in this that would of been really good
Love how each time she swore something else happened over the top
"You can say it now son! Everyone else is gay?"
Oh my gooooodddddd I cracked up XD
And now we had Berenice Wolfe and Serena Campbell. Was that foreshadowing?😏😏
Catherine Tate, what a legend!
This is one of the best Nan sketches she did!
Catherine Tate in a Christmas Carol is hilarious 🤣
I so wish Donna would return to Doctor Who. I am secretly hoping she will be in the 50th anniversary episode, even though I know it is very unlikely. She was my favourite companion. :D
Clara Oswin Oswald Cant agree with you more
Donna was one of my favorites. I hated her ending so I'd like to see that undone.
Clara Oswin Oswald She was my fave to! And her ending was just awful. All that character development for her, and how much she changed, and how she saved the world...and she will never know anything. :( Thats why I need her back, even just once, I need closure & I need her to remember! (I'm pretty passionate about this haha).
Ellie Louise It was awful. All the talk of her importance and she had it all taken away for this grand tragedy, and so the Doctor could cry. She was more than that. What really got me was when she came back and, instead of dying when she started remembering her past, laser beams shot out of her head. That's something different entirely. If she ever sees a blue police box are laser beams going to shoot out of her head and kill random people?? "I'm your doctor...what are you doing...AAAGGGHHH!!" Laser beams did it again. It was ridiculous.
***** I don't see why they don't have Catherine do a guest spot as a near death old Donna who, as she starts to die, regenerates into a new actress who can sass a new Doctor ... They'd have a ton of angst and background story to work with since she'd have to get used to a new body, not being human, a new Doctor body and probably his companion at the time ... so many stories just waiting to happen.
U never get tired of watching nan Taylor and I'm so happy a movie has been made
unless you grew up in the seventies and eighties you wouldn't know how accurate this is to every old woman i knew in the real east end !!!
I think it's because it's missing the live audience reaction/laughter, it doesn't seem right, it seems more serious and socially I think we underestimate how important other people's reactions are, especially in comedy. she couldn't swear but we could still hear where it would be so that was still funny and she seemed more nervous, it may have been live, not sure. still a genius though :-)
Claire King you need other people to tell you when to laugh? What a load of old sh*t
Ropsana Khanom hahahahaha
Claire King how did she seem nervous?
I really don't like laugh rolls, I can decide what's funny for myself, I don't need to be told when to laugh
i love nan and catherine tate is filming a series about nan at the moment so she will be back on the telly soon !!!
paul dixon fhjffhhhfhfhh
Bullshit
Some genius can never be eternal ,Blackadder,Faulty Towers. Nan.
The sketches for children in need are the best! :-)
just realised after watching that how much i missed her
It's just.....not the same without the background laughter...
Can we stop to appreciate the make-up artist who has done magnificent job.
Just imagine if Jac Naylor was there
+Ninjagobub 69123 Oh, that would have been great!
She would been gone longe time ago
I wanna see Nan dealing with covid
Absolutely love the nan sketch.
"Mrs. Taylor. There have been a number of complaints about you. In particular your language ". I can't stop watching and laughing at this one😂😂😂. You can see too the actress playing Chrissie trying her best not to burst out laughing. Oh yeah, was there an error here though?" Dan? I always thought it was Tom? 🤷♀️
FIIIIIIIRST! Thank you BBC! and Thank you so much Miss Catherine Tate! we all missed Nan and Jamie!
I just can't believe this was almost 7 years ago!
This Nan is a little mellowed compared to the Xmas Carol spoof.
Well this was for children in need so she would be allowed to be as rude as normal
Even though she couldn't swear properly, it was still very funny! Love Nan! Catherine Tate should make a series four for er sketch show, or at least come back with some sketches from time to time. (Also, Donna should take over and we all should pretend Clara was never a companion, because freaking hell! She annoys me to no end!)
Said in such a friendly voice: "How are you feeling today Mrs Taylor?"
"Oh LEAVE OFF!!!"
Hahahahahaha
I am a nurse and its so real
I'm always creased at this
Omg just like my nan she was the same in the hopsital so funny z reminds me off my nan x
This video is really really awesome 🤩
Can we have Nan in EastEnders sometime? (Shame Dot's leaving this year, I think, because I'd have liked to see Nan with her!) " What a f...in LIBERTY!" " Ooo, I say, she's so rude." Oh well, there's always Karen TAYLOR! Actually, there is one EE actor who's already been on a skit with Nan-Nitin Ganatra (Masood). He played Jamie's mother's boyfriend in a Christmas show. Of course, Nan being Nan, she said " This is wonderful. I can understand every word 'e's sayin." 😀😀😀
i love it when she speaks her mind
She’s just like my grandma 😂😂
It is so true of patients in hospital
I
Tell er with da face haha
Fabulous 😁😁 thank you
Mr Fraser of bad education lololol 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
thank you
Bilious attack - my grandmother used to say that too
Most adaptable actress.
Crazy without the laughing
That laugh 😂
Never seen this before! It's hilarious
Bravo
Very good!
I adore nan but I didnt even smile in this one...
I love Holby and I love nan ... but this wasn't very funny. Maybe it's because you don't hear people laugh?
No, it's because the humour is watered down for Children in Need. I hate telethon comedy.
She doesn't play the role with the same energy as she used to, so it becomes less funny or not funny at all.
I love Nan/ Catherine but this felt too real, I've worked with many abusive bitter older patients like her.
This woman is bloody funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very good
Priceless quality comedy
Her London accent is dare I say beautiful...
It’s not Lauren’s accent which can be called Urban.
This accent is when ppl took their clothes to the wash house...
Excellent writing.
Lol hilarious 💓 cathrine Tate! !!
Her family are now in Albert Square making their presence felt! 😀😀😀
If Karen's mum ever turns up in EastEnders, I bet she'll be like Nan😀😀😀
Jac should have been there to sort her out! :P I laughed so much! :L
In this time, I wanna see our dear Catherine Tate.
She’s the best Catherine Tate charachter!
Brought me bk from the brink! Haha
I am so going to be like nan when i get old lol
Love Catherine Tate
This will be me in 20 years 😂😂
Love Catherine Tate, but I have been watching Holby for years and have only just realised that Chantelle is Mika from Waterloo Road - my mind is literally blown 🤯
So stinking hilarious!!
Awesome!!
I work in care and Catherine Tate's Nan reminds me of some of my residents.
"The Jaws of death". 😂😂😂
Love Nan
Ahahahaa were are ma tissues 😂😂😻
Its a fucking liberty 😂😂😂. Love nan!! ❤
I can foresee Catherine playing the part of Nan when she is actually old herself in about 30 years time.
Irish girl came up to see ya Catherine came up to see ya ain't I🤣🤣
She would be a laugh at a hospital getting the nurses to do the run around and complaining.✌🤣🤣🤣✌✌✌✌✌👍
she is so funny 😂
Tate can do better than this, this is not as good as the other ones
But she does try her best, you have to admit. Why blonde hair I wonder? Is she not a red-head? Ponte Ryuurui
It was for charity, nothing special
Limited by the family friendly shit.
It's because there were complaint about last time so she had to make it more appropriate :( But the essence of Nan is that she is wild inappropriate and swears all the time so it sucks they made her tone it down. I still found it hilarious though, gosh I love Catherine.
+TeaFlower Blossom its a character she is playing so hardly makes a difference what colour hair she chooses for her character...
NOW they need to write a doc martin visits holby city 😂
I genuinely do not know how they could keep a straight face.
Wow chantell lovely girl not seen her in anything else since she left holby mores the pity.
Bless me nan got a million stories me nan
Great 😂
shes like my nan coz she was in hospital and keep doing this
Why is she in hospital for ingrown toenail no wonder NHS is imploding procedure done under local anesthesia
These characters shouldn't be on the same ward like this and I've never seen a character on Holby City watching TV in bed lol
All hospital patients have access to TV
This is like a documentary
October 10th 2021 Ah memories
Mrs Taylor 😂😂😂
I can’t believe that I’ve never noticed that Chantelle is Mika from Waterloo road
I'm sooo glad she's not my nan! 😁
She's just like my mum in law
awesome
