They really should had put more work into it tho, it ran slower than all other games and needed new sprites, they also left the good old songs bland, and some of the effects really pissed me off.

I remember not being able to beat this boss because I couldn’t inhale Fawful. I’m certain that it is still impossible if you don’t used both the X and Y buttons.
Every gamer has their childhood game that they needed help from a parent to beat. Bowser's Inside Story was that game for me. I always got my Mom to mash X to inhale Fawful, and it was indeed possible, just very difficult. I also HORRIBLY allocated the stats for all three protagonists, and on top of that was in Kindergarten when I beat the game. (This game was rated E10+… and I was not 10+) Being a Kindergartener allows you to mash buttons properly throughout the game… right up until this final fight. Instead of the fight taking me one attempt (which would've happened if I had dumped a large enough chunk of my level up points into POW, like someone who knows EXACTLY what they're doing) it took me many attempts… and TWO WHOLE WEEKS OF CONTINUOUS PLAYTIME (counting the rare moments during those two weeks when I was NOT playing the game.) Needless to say, that made this fight *_INFINITELY_* more epic than if I had min-maxxed The Dream Team (and Bowser) properly. If you min-max the Bros. and Bowser properly, and you happen to be at or over the age of 10, the fight becomes somewhat trivial. I will always be grateful that I didn't do that, and I played the game way earlier than the ESRB thought I should've, since this fight still means a whole lot to me to this day. This game was not only my first JRPG… but my First RPG, period. Damn, what a hard game to live up to… if you happen to be every single other JRPG ever made. Edit: I said it took me many attempts, but in reality, I had virtually 100%-ed the game by this point, and had saved all the Star Candies for this fight, and had spent the past two months or so stockpiling levels and items for this fight… so it only took me at absolute most a couple of attempts. What the easily the most epic part of my personal experience was with this fight… was that when the fight started, I never quit out of the game, restarted, or let my DS die. I carried my DS and its charger *_everywhere_* with me. And for those two weeks, any time there was *_any_* downtime in my life whatsoever, I pulled out my DS, opened it up, and the final fight raged on. For two whole weeks, it was two opposing forces, both of them unstoppable, both of them immovable objects, locked in a battle that never stopped raging until the two weeks were up, I had beaten the game, and I had gotten the "false" ending. Then, I spent the next month non-stop grinding to get the final rank for each character. I never got them, and I never got the true ending, because I got burnt out, started playing other games, occasionally came back to play the game and grind over the years (even starting new save files to experience the entire game over again, right up until the final boss, which is when I went back to my main save file and kept grinding) and many years later (from my perspective at the time) in the summer break between middle school and high school, I lost my 3DS, and *_all_* of its games during the move, much to my eternal grief. Out of all the games that I had for my DSes over the years, my favorite will always be M&L:BIS. RIP my 3DS. RIP my games for it. RIP the dream.
