Some buttons don’t work the first time because they’re malfunctiony. Sometimes people don’t press buttons right. This is why you should bang it like 5 times every ten seconds

I don’t mind someone pressing the button after me, as long as they don’t do it immediately after they just watched me do it. Or do it with an attitude like “THIS is how you PRESS the button” like my button pressing skills are substandard. Also, if the light turns green after they press it and they give me A LOOK I will not be held responsible for my actions. Have some damn grace when you button press, world! 😄

A hell where the only way to escape, is to prevent people from pressing this button and after a certain amount of time, he would be allowed to leave. However it seems impossible to prevent the pressing of that button, and he is stuck in an endless cycle of not being able to stop the button from being pressed. No matter how much he tries, how bad he wants to leave, he is helpless when it comes to the social engineering built into that button. It's not something that makes much sense to him. He is unable to explain his situation to anyone. Who would believe him anyway?

Plot twist: They are in hell and Keegan is a trickster monster that tortures souls by telling them the button was already pushed, until they break mentally and infinitely get ran over.
His argument does not allow for the possibility that it's bugged. He should press again. If after pressing 10 times and still nothing, he can begin to consider if it's working at all? His argument is right, but there is a higher point that he is missing. He never thought to begin troubleshooting.

"Highly qualified engineers" still make mistakes. Geez man lower your expectations. 3. He assumes he himself is infalliable, that his senses are perfect and memory accurate. He himself should not be absolutely sure that he did actually press it, that he didn't imagine himself pressing it. Let alone expect someone else who doesn't know him and didn't see it to also be absolutely sure. 4. He assumes it's impossible that the light doesn't like him. How does he know? Maybe the light is actually sentient and specifically doesn't like him. I know it's a small possibility but we HAVE to accept that it's POSSIBLE.

@@harleyserafini51 the buttons work for off traffic hours, when it's designed to favor random traffic flow and keep cars moving and not meant for yielding traffic for pedestrians, since there wouldn't be many around. You could stand at one of these at 2am and it would not change to walk for 6+ hours without you pushing it.
