    Really interesting presentation, even some guy in the audience seems to agree. He coughs every time something interesting is being said.
    If the HSYNC trick would've been used some time ago, we would've had better sound 20 years ago. The horizontal scrolling is also revolutionary, given the technology.

    WOW! Clear thinking and explanation, seems beer do not affect it ;), compliment!! A little question: in order to make things simple, why to have also SUB instruction (was not ADD enough following the design logic...)?

    im building a completely different architecture. and many of my ideas don't fit into any category. You helped me realize its mainly CISC, but it has a lot of the good features of RISC. And some areas its exactly equal between RISC & CISC. I would like to discuss it with you. Get in contact with me! Im thinking it might turn out to be a super computer.

    How does the ALU work exactly ?

      It is a two-stage ALU. Stage 1 is a multiplexer stage that does the logical operations. The second stage is an addition. The core idea of the first stage is described here: 6502.org/users/dieter/a1/a1_4.htm . To put this in an ALU is here: 6502.org/users/dieter/a1/a1_6.htm (except that there it is a 3-stage ALU).

    Uh, someone in the audience was having a really bad cough... Hope he is ok. And hope he didn't infect anyone else...

    At 48.58... it's "Pole Position" (and apparently... crashing your car, also crashes the game... LOL)!!

    How many transistors is the computer made from?

    • @beopstek
      @beopstek 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The processor has less than 1,000 logic gates. That's half of what is in a 6502 processor.

      @@beopstek That's very compact, thanks.
